Proflo 315T1 (315L)It is suppose to be for a family of 3 adults and 3 children "OFF PEAk"-I can tell you that after 2 short showers there is no hot water left-WE USE COLD WATER FOR WASHING MACHINE AND COLD WATER FOR DISHWASHER

Good value
Proflo 160S1 (165L)Good hot water heater. Supposed to last for 10 years. Our last one was 11 years old and gave no trouble until it developed a slow leak. The one before that was a similar age. Price of this one was similar to what we paid 11 years ago!

Relief Valve Failed & Ruptured within 24 hours
Proflo 315T1 (315L)I purchased a Brand New $1,175 DUX 315L hot water system form Bunnings late Friday, had plumber install it on Saturday, then on Sunday the relief valve at the top Failed & Ruptured Opened with Water Streaming Out, I isolated the tank water, took the faulty relief valve to Bunnings, they then said that DUX deals with the Warranty not them, they rang DUX & were informed that I had to go back home (40km round trip) & take a photograph of the Serial Number, then send it to DUX, then DUX in several days from now would send a plumber to install the
... Read morerelief valve & that I would "Pay for the Cost of Installing it", the relief valve itself is just an $80 item, having no hot water for multiple days & waiting for DUX to install it is Deplorable at best, so I rang DUX from home & complained about it to them directly, their reply was "we stand by the quality of our products", this statement itself is simply not true as their product only lasted just One Day before failure. SO I HAVE LEARNED MY LEASON ABOUT "DUX", DON'T BUY ANOTHER DUX HOT WATER SYSTEM EVER AGAIN, there are other manufactures out there besides DUX & I'll be buying from them from now onward.Purchased in .

... Read more We are happy to try to organise a Dux Service Agent to attend ASAP if you can email marketing@dux.com.au your details. The function of the PTR is to release the water when it is too hot, or the pressure in the tank is too high. This is a safety function of the valve. Usually if water comes out the top of the valve, it indicates the relief drain line may be blocked or is too long. We source high quality valves from Reliance who are a market leading provider in Australia. These valves are typically very reliable. Please get in touch so we can try to assist. Looking forward hearing from you. Best Regards, The Dux TeamThe installer was excellent and fast
Proflo 125T1 (125L)The installer arranged through Bunnings was fast and very professional. no mucking around. all done and cleaned up in about a half hour. could not have asked for better. very very happy customer (I asked him to leafet the tags from the tie-binders, as the possums who live under my floor boards run up and down the pipes)

A stressful weekend made worse by false promises of same day Installation
Proflo 250T1 (250L)I was shopping around for a hot water system for a couple of weeks as I figured it was time to update the old 24 year old electric Rheem and to take advantage of the QLD govt energy rebate. But I guess my system had its own plans and on a Saturday morning I woke up to notice it has exploded.
Given the wait time for a solar system I had no choice but to go for another electric system. I recall getting a quote form Bunnings so I called them to see if it was possible to get it installed on the weekend and was told that no one was available to le
... Read moret me know if it was possible. They can quote you over the weekend but there is no way to find out if it can be done same day. Plus if you want to claim flybuys you needed to order the product instore. So we decided to try and make it without hot water for the weekend and on Monday I went into my local Bunnings and spoke to a nice gentleman at the special order desk. I was happy to find out that for an extra fee I could get the Dux hot water system installed on the same day. I was happy as the fee was $150 less than the quoted fee I was given by my local plumber for same day install. I paid for the system and same day installation and was given an order number and a phone number to call if someone didn't call me within an hour to arrange for the same day service. I got home waited an hour and called to see about the same day install. I spoke to a lady at Dux/Bunnings and was told she would need to call the plumber and would get back to me with an ETA. Two hours later and nothing. So I called back and spoke to another lady who said the same thing. She assured me she would get back to me with an update. An hour later and nothing. So I called Dux again and spoke to same lady that assured me that she would get back to me. She told me the plumber had not returned the call after she left a message. I told her that it was 2.30pm and that I need the system installed as agreed. I asked if it was normal for such a thing to take time and was told she was just answering calls and cannot answer my questions. Again she assured me that someone would call me back as close of business was not far off.Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $2,224.

I was told the charge is not fixed, that extras can be charged if more work was needed. It would also make sense if less work was needed the balance is refunded, not kept as a bonus. I have received quotes of $170 per hour including removal and extra parts. The job took 1.5 hours and so what is the balance charges for?Thank god for Dux!
Proflo 250T1 (250L)When we sold our house two years ago, the water heater went the week we were moving out. Dux to the rescue to bring me the best instant water heater in my budget.
Fast forward two years later in our new house and our water heater was leaking everywhere. Within 24 hours of me calling DUX I had a new fancy schmancy new water heater and we couldn't be happier!

Quick, easy process
Proflo 250T1 (250L)My hot water system failed on a Saturday morning. I went to Bunnings and spoke to the Special Orders Desk who assisted me in choosing a Dux replacement system. I then purchased the system and installation and (as I chose not to try to get a plumber out over the weekend) was advised that Dux would be in touch with me within 48 Hours. They contacted me on Monday Morning, and installation was arranged for Tuesday morning. I am very happy with the whole process, and with the new system, and I felt the price was very reasonable.

Can I set timer for daytime operation heating. I have solar.
How easy is it to adjust temperature
Gordon
Hi Gordon,
It is our pleasure to answer your question.
The thermostat can only be adjusted by a suitably qualified tradesperson.
You will need to talk to an PV electrician re the timer, but you would need to ensure that there is at least a 4hr block of power available to the heater so that it can heat completely to 60 Deg C in accordance with AS3498. That is assuming that it has a 2.4kW element fitted, otherwise a 3hr block of time if a 3.6kW element is fitted.
Regards,
The Dux Team
I need a new element in my 315l dux hw. At the moment I have a 3.6kw but want to upgrade to a 4.8kw. My wiring and Circuit breaker are 20amp per my electrician
Is there any internal wiring or thermostat change required inside the tank. The tank is about 6years old.
Hi Chris,
It is our pleasure to answer your question.
The unit is certified to have a 4.8kW element, your electrician will just need to fit the element - part # H0073 - to it, no other changes needed unless your electrician says so.

The Dux Team
