The Haier Heat Pump Water Heater is a brilliant alternative not only to the environment but in costs compared to my old electric hot water system. It has a panel which you may electronically adjust the temp settings to suit your needs or via the app which is so convenient.Just had it installed and so far so good.It heats instantly on usage and… Read more
reheats quickly as well.Performance with the set temp is consistant with flow eg shower or washing machine usage. we are in autuum now so its performing quite well considering the unit receives no sun.
Absolutely wrapped with our new heater! We replaced our broken Instant gas heater and its the best thing we ever did. Very low running cost, extremely quiet and looks great! Show details
Just had the Haier Monoblock HP (250L) installed. Cant comment on performance yet but looks great and much larger capacity than my previous gas storage unit. Looking forward to checking my utility bills in 3 months to see what difference it makes.

Great product specially coming off from a gas boosted solar hot water system. The gas bill has dramatically reduced since installing the heat pump water heater. Quite efficient in electricity as well. Powerhouse did the install which was pretty seamless and the after sales service from Haier has been pretty good. If you have solar and battery… Read more
then please be mindful of where this will be powered from, if connected grid side then it may not reflect in your battery app and get power from the battery when sun is down.
Great improvement from your standard water, love the features and settings. Show details
We recently replaced our old LPG gas system with the Haier 250L Monoblock (HP250M1-U1) as part of our move to a fully electric household. So far, the experience has been very positive. Performance: The water temperature is consistent and hot. While the recovery/heating time is a bit slower than instantaneous gas, it’s a clear sign of the unit's… Read more
efficiency. It relies on the heat pump rather than forcing the electric boost, which is exactly what we wanted to save on energy costs.
Noise Levels: The unit is surprisingly quiet. You can hear a low hum from the fan if you are standing within 1-2 meters, but from inside the house, it is completely silent.
SmartHQ App: The app is functional and allows for easy scheduling. I had some initial lag with the Wi-Fi connection, though this was likely due to the signal strength at the installation spot rather than the unit itself. Once connected, it’s great for monitoring.
Design: It’s a sleek-looking unit and the silver/grey color actually matches our external walls perfectly, which was a nice bonus!
Overall, it's a solid, well-engineered system.
Note: This review is incentivised, however, I am honestly very impressed with this unit.
Efficient, quiet, and reliable. The Haier 330L heat pump provides plenty of hot water for a family of 6 household and has noticeably reduced our electricity costs. Solid build quality and consistent performance—very happy with this purchase. Show details

Got a 330l Haier Monoblock hot water system with heat pump installed from Powrhouse. Very impressed. Performance has been solid and very efficient only drawing circa 1kw while charging. power that my battery doesnt even notice. My intention was to only run it during peak sun hours but have just left on as insignificant draw. Very happy with it.

Our old Rinnai gas water unit finally gave out after 15 years of service, and we replaced it with the Haier Monoblock Heat Pump Water Heater HP330M1U1. We’re extremely pleased with the new Haier unit — it operates very quietly and features a sleek, stylish, and modern design, plus convenient Wi-Fi capability. We upgraded to the larger 330L tank,… Read more
so we never run out of hot water. The warranty offered by Haier is excellent, giving us added peace of mind and confidence in the product.
Highly recommended.
We have just had a Haier 330 ltr hot water heat pump installed after our previous unit failed. We are very impressed with how quiet this unit is. The service we received during the quoting and install was easy and efficient. The install was quick and the unit itself presents well in the area. Show details
We've recently installed the Haier Monoblock 330L Heat Pump and decommissioned our instant gas hot water system. We are a family of 5 people with teenage and young adults in family. We find the water easily lasts for all of us to enjoy a nice hot shower in the morning rush. We haven't run out yet and we haven't even needed to use the boost… Read more
function. This was probably my biggest fear in transitioning to electric hot water system. The heat pump is much more economical than gas and the hot water comes through really fast and doesn't skip a beat, unlike our old gas system that ran cold often and was glitchy. I love the fact that our house is now fully electric and no fossil fuels involved. I even like the colour of the tank which blends well with my house colour. The whole thing will pay for itself within 2-3 years (bottled gas for hot water is horrific cost - it was such a no brainer to change it purely for the savings involved of over $1,000pa). I'm so glad we made the change. Jace from Adelaide Hills Hot Water gave us all the information we needed to make the decision - really informative, he was very thorough and installed it promptly. Such an easy process. (This is an incentivised review, but I would have reviewed it this way regardless).
One of the best decision I ever made! Amazing hot water system, easy to setup and I can control it with my phone. Quick to heat up water, very quiet. Excellent product! 100% recommend Show details
We recently installed the Haier 250L Monoblock water heater, replacing our old gas heater. The new heater is quiet, consumes very little power and integrates well with my existing solar set up. far this summer, but yet to see how it performs in winter. Also a shout out to our installer & retailer Same Day Hot Water Service. Great service, efficient, knowledgeable, pays attention to detail, tidy plumbing and wiring work...highly recommended!
Only installed about a week, but works great so far. Everything about the system looks to be better quality than my old Quantum unit. Runs much quieter. Installed by Jace at Adelaide Hills Hot Water, great job and highly recommended. The LCD display is a nice add and makes changing settings very simple. getting that to work (it relies on a foreign cloud service and phone app anyway) - not too bothered because I don't need wifi on a hot water service particularly. All in all this unit appears to be much better put together than Quantum and runs quieter with lower running costs (750W heat pump vs my old system's 840W) with an electric element booster that can also act as a backup. Highly recommended.

Adelaide Hills Hot Water. While the tank is a lot taller than my previous tank it fits easily into the space of the previous tank and is not too intrusive. The tank is right outside my kitchen window and is really quiet. Plenty of hot water available whenever I need it.
Follow-up · The HP continues to perform well. Quiet and plenty of hot water even with the colder weather and extra people staying in the house.
Heats pretty quick, great design, very quiet, love the swap to this. Auto mode will use heaps less electricity than my old rooftop solar one that was boosting all night when the tank was cold and empty from showers,. Show details · 1
Follow-up · Wish it had actual smart features of any sort. The app is super basic, no graphs, usage stats, TOU options. If I want to fiddle w TOU I have too muck around outside on the unit which isn't helpful.
I chose the Haier Heat Pump for the terrific warranty but was so amazed at how quiet the system is. This is really important for us because the heat pump is outside bedroom windows. Our neighbours are chuffed too! Show details
Follow-up · The Installation was great. The hot water guy Jace was awesome and got me all the rebates I was eligible for.i haven’t noticed any changes with running costs from my old heat pump. The water is always hot.

In-depth reviews
Got my Haier Monoblock 250l installed a few months ago. Like others have said, it heats water very efficiently and I haven't once run out of hot water (only 2 ppl in my household). I have got the pump running in eco mode, namely between 9am and 3pm, to take advantage of solar power. The unit looks good and modern, and I am hoping its reputation… Read more
for durability proves correct.
Having said that, there are a few negatives to this product:
1. The control panel on the unit is covered by a small sheet of plexiglass, which you have to remove to access the controls. I defy anyone to remove this sheet without breaking their nails! Puzzlingly, it is not fully attached to the unit, by a hinge or some such. It is just jammed into a slot, which makes removing it excessively fiddly. I have just had to leave it half-open from now on.
2. The phone app is average at best. It lets you select modes and see what temp the water is at. But it does not have all the functions that the control panel has, far from it. For instance, you can't vary the timer, or see whether the machine is operating or not. This seems very odd in this day and age. Furthermore, the app regularly forgets the unit's ID code that allows it to connect, so that you have to re-enter it every second day. That's not exactly state of the art API coding! Lift your game, Haier.
3. Unlike the majority of other posters, I don't find this unit particularly quiet. Yes, the compressor makes about as much noise as an AC unit. However, there is a vibration noise overlaying the compressor's hum, which makes the overall result somewhat annoying. That vibration stops when I press on the air vent with my hand, which tells me it is just something vibrating inside when it shouldn't be. If it wasn't for that "extra" noise, the overall sound level would be acceptable.
So, overall, I would still recommend this product, but check other reviews and not just those that were offered incentives.
Heat Pump Hot Water – The Final Step in Getting Off Gas The last step in my home electrification was getting rid of gas for hot water, and switching to a heat pump. Simply disconnecting gas removed the daily service fee alone — about $1.13 per day,… Read more · 1
or roughly $412 per year.
On top of that, gas hot water has unavoidable consumption. For my setup, that was around $1 per day (about 21 MJ), adding another ~$365 per year, depending on usage. Once you add both together, gas hot water was costing close to $800 per year.
I’m fortunate to have solar. I can schedule hot water heating to soak up the afternoon solar curve, effectively heating water for free. Since installing the heat pump, I haven’t paid for hot water at all over summer. It comfortably heats to 75 °C, and with a tempering valve, the stored hot water goes much further.
The app has been consistently responsive and reliable, letting me check tank temperature at any time and I can turn the tank temp up or down depending on solar conditions.
Compared to gas, the heat pump removes standing charges, avoids fossil fuel dependency, and pairs perfectly with solar. The unit is large but Jeztek Plumbing did a awesome job on installation and commissioning. For anyone serious about electrification, replacing gas hot water is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make.
Follow-up · Going well. App is working better. Easily handles our requirements, (3 girls!!) The noise is there but not too bad. The sun guard doesn't fit properly, but not a major. Haven't cleaned the unit yet. Still going strong. Especially good for soaking up extra solar.
We chose this water heater to replace an existing gas instant system, due to the environmental and economic benefits it gives. So far the system has been excellent; it is quiet, reliable, and it provides fast and consistent hot water (doesn't have to run nearly as long before the water is hot), and appears to be efficient in terms of energy… Read more
consumption, and cheaper to run than the old gas system. Initial heating time during installation was quick, as the unit has an emergency booster if required (this can be used whenever a quick recharge of hot water is needed, and can be selected on the control panel on the outside of the tank). The system is easy to monitor and control, and changing modes and setting operating times is straightforward. It operates much the same as a storage heater, but it much more efficient and cheaper to run. We haven't had to use the warranty, but this is also good - 5 years on parts and labour for domestic use, with a 7 year warranty on the storage vessel itself.

good price. So far it’s working well with an abundance of hot water. Erik showed me how to set up the eco timer so the heat pump will heat during the main hours of the day and when I get solar it will be even more sustainable.
System has improved our hot water temperature and output significantly whilst lowering costs. The running noise I find to be minimal and it is installed right outside my ensuite window which is always open. There is a man who sometimes stays at my house who didn't like the noise but this was easily resolved by making him leave. Show details
