Hot Water, Ray in sales department was very accommodating and professional from quoting stage to after installation, Ray was prompt and always followed up on any enquiries, other departments lacked in communication as we had to reschedule several installations appointments at short notice, room for improvement. So far so good. Just got this today and it seems to be working quite well. It's not as loud compared to my split system and after the initial heating, has worked quite well.

The unit is heavy to carry to its location and is wider and taller than the previous tank was (at the same capacity), so allow for that if access is awkward. Paykel fridge, and the new Haier hot-water system was immediately recognised by the app. The whole set-up was a breeze! We also really like the Eco mode and built-in timer. With our rooftop solar PV system, we've scheduled the heat pump to operate during the day when our panels are generating electricity. This means we can heat our water using surplus solar energy rather than buying electricity from the grid – effectively free hot water when sufficient solar power is available. The system is straightforward to operate, and being able to monitor and adjust settings through the app is very convenient. Just had mine installed. The installation was great and its quieter than I thought it would be. App control is easy. Time will tell I guess but all going well for me at the moment. My old hot water system needed 4.5kw power so I should get quite a saving on power.

from my energy bills is that it has been reduced significantly. Kudos to it's smart technology. I have paired it with my solar production using its functionality being on eco mode and forcing the heater on only during the day when there is solar production. I can do it directly via unit or via smart HQ app. It also has holiday mode but I have not used it yet.

I decided to replace my old gas hot water system and I am very happy with this new unit. less intrusive than I expected given it sits close to the house. Installation was straightforward, using the existing plumbing location with no major modifications needed. We've set it to run on a daytime-only schedule (off overnight) given our morning usage pattern, which has worked well. The SmartHQ WiFi app has turned out to be genuinely useful, not just a gimmick. Being able to switch to Vacation mode remotely before a trip — rather than needing to physically get to the unit beforehand or leave it running unnecessarily while the house is empty — is a small but handy feature we didn't fully appreciate until we actually used it. 70% less electricity than traditional electric storage. So that beats the slightly cheaper but more expensive to run electric HWS models we looked at. As we are in an apartment building, it was also crucial that the unit runs quietly, which it does.

I particularly like the built-in Wi-Fi integration so I can remotely check up on things. Eco Mode allows us to schedule heating to make use of our solar PV generation, while Boost Mode provides faster recovery when there’s unusually high hot-water demand when we have guests.

Installation was completed today, so it’s early days, but the unit feels like a much more flexible and efficient replacement for the old rooftop solar hot water system. Very pleased with the choice so far.
