Trivets too low. Not able to simmer – Disappointing. The trivets are too low, hence the pots too close to the gas flame, not able to do a slow simmer on any of the gas rings. Solution is to stack one trivet over another to raise the pot. I chose this appliance because the trivets were all at even height, a good safety feature.
PERFECT EXCEPT FOR WRONG SIZED TRIVET – I love this cook top, it`s big enough for my wok and fry pan together. The only problem is that the left and right trivets are the same configuration and this does not allow for the larger burner on the right front. Only had it 4-5 months but looking back on brochure the picture matches what I have got so guess I don`t have a leg to stand on. This was purchased on line sight unseen, be careful.

Hi Caro, There is an Australian standard that determines trivet height over gas flames and that can sometimes limit really low simmer settings. It can be a pain especially when tempering chocolate or similar. Stacking the trivets does work quite well, just be sure that they are stable and safe.
