Excellent service, great products and reasonably priced! – I bought two desks and two book cases. The furniture looks great in my office but I did have a hiccup with a few of the cam pins which hold things together. Cheap quality, expensive price – Bought an office chair from this place, not a lot of help from the sales person when I was in the store. The chair was never really very good, and broke after about 8 months. I has bought cheap chair in the past and had this happen, but didn't expect it when buying an expensive one from a store that specialises in office furniture. It's ok empire, this "falling over" woman "fell" at our store too ... SCAM – Hi empire ... i empathise with you. I am a Townsville local... we have a small business in town. I just stumbled across this "bad" post online from years ago.... and had to make a comment. My business was also targeted by this woman. She also targeted us. She said she "fell" at our store, then suggested we we compensate her. She is a serial scammer.

Accident in store- Appalling handling of the situation by Company – I visited this store 05/05/16 to look at some office chairs. shock. There was certainly no urgency on the staff's behalf to come to my aid. There was no inquiry into how I was. They just hovered randomly. A plastic chair was presented to sit on at some point. The two men took off and left the woman to deal with the situation. They went about their business as though nothing had happened. I eventually got myself up and onto to chair to gather myself. I was so winded and very sore. There was not a single solitary word of compassion, care or concern that came out these three miserable individual's mouths. Zero apology, zero ownership of the dangerous entryway, zero human decency, zero duty of care for a customer entering their premises in good faith that all was safe, zero acknowledgement of what had just occurred on their 'watch', in total, simply a big fat zero of anything!. Such an incredibly horrid, disgusting and appalling display of a lack of humanity. The manager particularly was a horrid individual only concerned with covering his own back and demonstrating a coward's fear of litigation. The other revolting male was just as bad running off and not even getting involved. He sat like a coward at his desk the whole time as though nothing had happened. I left this store without one of them asking if I was ok, or if they could call someone for me or even if I was ok to drive!! Such lowlifes I have never encountered before.

I left this scene and went straight to my Dr to ensure this situation was on record. He was horrified and dumbstruck at the behaviour of these people.

The next day I contacted and emailed this Company's head office in Rocklea in Brisbane and attentioned the email, detailing the whole debacle, to their Operations Manager, who handballed it to a Director,[name removed]. He has done absolutely zero and is just as ineffective and lacking decency just like his three appalling staff members in the Townsville store.

Ultimately, this company has a culture of 'duck, weave and deny everything'. All they are concerned with is profit over human decency and integrity. They care nought for the customer nor their well being when clearly they are at fault for creating and maintaining a store hazard that results in an accident. No words or communications have been used or spoken by them reflecting very, very clearly that they are responsible and accountable for my accident. They can run, but they can't hide. Their total lack of as decent humans will follow them whenever they go, both personally and professionally.

Avoid this business and it's branches like the plague and beware of their store conditions if you ever risk entering. They won't give a damn if something was to happen to you there. Go elsewhere to shop for your office furniture. There are far better, more ethical and decent office furniture businesses and people out there!!!
