Very unprofessional to say the least – I am yet to receive a book I ordered from Emporium Books in July. There is no contact number, I have sent numerous emails without any reply and have now referred them to the Australian Fair Trading Tribunal as a last resort. This company is totally and utterly a scam - do not buy anything from them. Not a thing Everything.

Paid for air – I have same problem. Ordered 2 books and paid Aug 15 2011. Nothing to be heard since, and now they don't even have a webpage. Someone out there knows whats happening, and someone out there has to have the money paid by both myself and all the other customers out there who have not received anything. Won't send paid for products

Emporium Retail Group is a scam – I have experienced the same fate as it would seem many others have.... ordered book, credit card charged, no book arrived, send email to follow up, no response, called, line disconnected. cant get money back. these guys are a scam Its a scam, you will lose money

They have gone into liquidation!!!! – Our firm ordered a law book (from www.lawbooks.com.au owned by Emporium) in June and have been in contact with them by email and telephone since then. by credit card or PayPal should contact their credit card provider or PayPal and seek a reversal of payment.

Scammers! – Ordered a book on the 16th of August 2011 - $69 Book never arrived. Website and email deactivated. Phone number disconnected. Placed a complaint with Fair Trading today. Would like to know whether anyone has managed to get their money back from their credit card company? Great at scamming. Everything! Do not order from these guys!

Emporium Books - Beware – I ordered books and paid for registered postage from this site. The goods have never arrived and the website has disappeared. I have been ripped off. Buyers beware!! Please report this site if you have experienced the same thing. This is a scam. They are not book sellers

Ripped off – I bought a book and this failed to arrive. I cannot get hold of company. Only option is to blacklist their web site, claim refund from credit card company, and report them to the police.

I wished I also had seen these comments before I ordered – I ordered a book with Emporium Books on August 22nd and have tried to contact them with out success. I will pursue getting my money back. I have prided myself in not getting involved with shonks but we all learn the hard way. Good luck to everyone hope we get some where. Bad experience

Shonks - How do I get my money back? – I ordered books in July and never received anything so I emailed them only to be told they were moving warehouse. I was then informed they couldn't get the book anymore on the 22/8 and my card would be refunded. I have emailed twice since then and no reply. Is it worthwhile going through my bank to try & get my money back or do I just write it off? Also does anyone know who I can report them too? Company was a scam it seems!

Looks like the company is going under – I read the reviews and I too ordered a book which never arrived. I have not heard zip from the company. I just looked them up on ASIC and it looks like they are under administration as of 13 Sept 2011. Not a thing They are likely to be liquidated any day now

Report for fraud!! Books never arrived and company doesn't respond to contact – My books never arrived. I've left two emails messages neither of which have been replied to. Phone contact rings out. Trying to get my money back from my bank - but proving difficult as company has made no contact with me! Really, really angry! Will report to Fair Trading too. Does this company even exist - what a scam!!

Report to NSW Consumer Affairs – Have been ripped off by this company too. The phone number I found for them is no longer in use. Spoke to NSW Fair Trading.........have been told to lodge a complaint with them. One book arrived in very damaged condition. Still havent seen the other two. Possible Criminal Conduct – I also have paid for a book with this dodgy Coy. I will be contacting the Federal Police and will lay an official complaint. They no doubt will find out who the Company Directors are and hopefully a numebr of offences under the Crime Act will be pursued.
