The worst account keeping and customer service ever. We pride ourselves in always paying our bills on time. And we use the Australian Post Office to pay our bills, so that we always have proof of receipt. Yet, regularly, ERC send us bills of overdue account. When we phone they appear to never have a reason for the notification. The last 2 months… Read more

we have also received text messages threatening to cut off our supply. But again, when we phone, the only ask us send a copy of the messages, Obviously they don't know why they are being sent. We are now so angry that the next warning message we receive from ERC will be forwarded to the Ombudsman to support our complaints and to intercede on our behalf. BE WARNED. ERC IS HOPELESS. FIND AND USE ANOTHER ELECTRICITY PROVIDER.

Don’t deal with Energy Resources Corporation ERC – Energy Resources is a disreputable company. They are the bottom-feeders of the energy world. We moved out of our apartment for a complete renovation in April 2022. The apartment was not occupied again until the new owners moved in February 2023. Despite this ERC - Energy Resources Corporation keep sending us Electricity, Hot and Cold water bills… Read more

every month. We contacted them before we moved out and on numerous occasions after - by phone and email - to let them know at no one was living in the apartment. At no time did they come out to read our meters - the numbers they were quoting on their invoices were fictitious estimates - yet they kept sending increasing bills each month.

By early 2023 we had sold the apartment, having never moved back in. It was only after I was diagnosed with breast cancer we decided to get ERC out of our lives and pay their immoral and fictional bill. We called them and paid the bill. However, they said there was an extra month that we now owed on top of this $800 that was not included in the $800 invoice. We told them to go jump and paid the $800. Now in May 2024, we have a bill collection agency, Marshall Freeman Collections chancing us for payment for this $128.

In the middle if all this we contacted the Ombudsman and the Office of Fair Trading. Each time we were told this does not fall under our area - so the government is useless, which is why these unconscionable company’s can get away with this fictitious charging estimates.

My message is, don’t under any circumstances, deal with ERC or Energy Resources Corporation based Currimundi in Queensland.

worry. I arrived in Brisbane on Saturday afternoon, got to my apartment and there was no connection. I had no power and no way to get power until Monday. I rang first thing on Monday morning to be told they no longer do electricity for my building, despite the advice I had received a few days prior. No apology, no explanation for the wrong information that left me without power for 36 hours. I asked the staff member I spoke to if he thought it was ok for the other staff member to be giving out incorrect information and he simply repeated they no longer do electricity to our building. So incredibly rude and dismissive. After looking at other reviews I am now glad I don’t have to have my electricity connected with them but dread how I’ll be treated with them being my gas supplier. Avoid if possible.

ERC as corrupt as the banks – Forced to be a customer due the body corporate. Dont offer a pay on time discount like reputible energy suppliers. Charge a “reminder fee” monthly. I have no agreement with this company so they should not be able to charge this outrageous penalty.. They even charge GST on top of the fee. Qtrly payments and am told they can't, yet their website says they can. Dozens of other tenants in my apartment building are also extremely unhappy with ERC. If you can use someone else as your provider, I would strenuously urge you do so.

Absolute morons – Cannot reply to an email to save themselves. Have not given back our bond. Been crap since day one. Have no idea how they're in business. Over charge. Rude. Useless. Think of most useless crap person you've ever dealt with. They're worse.

Worst customer experience – These guys are rude and either have no idea about consumer rights or just don't care. Their SMS invoicing system is completely inappropriate and I often get a last warning the same day they threaten to cut the power off.. No bill in the mail, no nothing. Just last minute threats . If you can use someone else as your provider, I would recommend you do so. These guys don't deserve your business.

Single Worst Electricity Retailer – One of the worst electrical retailers I've ever had to deal with. I would receive text messages demanding payment but would never receive an actual bill. I would have to call them to send the bill every single month, and in the end, I received a demand notice from a debt recovery agency on their behalf because, surprise surprise, they AGAIN neglected to send me a bill. I will NEVER use this company again.

One star is about ten too many! – Absolutely disgusting. to discuss the reasoning as when the corporation was contacted several times over several days, the response by staff was 'The accounts department are very busy, no one has time to speak to you' and 'Management are in a meeting'. When enquired as to when might be a good time to speak to someone the response was 'They're always, very, busy'. After waiting the three business days for a response via email, the response comes, 'We are looking into the matter and will contact you once our investigations are complete'.

This continues with every request for an actual person to phone me to discuss the matter.

Expensive, will not speak with you, will not respond to queries, will not resolve issues.
