I have recently had roof insulation installed by Enviroflex. Before commencing work,they required a Certificate of Electrical Safety to be supplied, a requirement not mentioned by another company I contacted.. I chose to use their electrician, who took photographs, and explained, fully, what work needed to be done. Aside from the safety of the installers, this also gives me peace of mind. For the quote, I supplied the plan of my unit, but - during installation - it was noticed that a small section had been overlooked; this was remedied the following week. The installer also took before/after photos of the installation. Removal of old insulation was not recommended - although they did give me a quote which included removal. All dealings with the company - quote, electrical work, and installation - were pain free, and the installers efficient and helpful. The area covered : Residence - 12.8 squares - R6 plus 2-car garage - R4 Cost - $4634 (not including electrical work) I was very happy with Enviroflex and highly recommend the company.
Follow-up · The following my review these questions have been asked: 1 .What made you decide against removing the old insulation? 2 How did the electrician explain the safety requirements to you? 3. What was the most helpful part of the installation process? 1. Enviroflex did say that old insulation could be removed, but did not consider it to be necessary, and it provided extra insulation. Apparently, most preferred to leave old insulation in place. 2. As the roofing area contains a much house wiring, the safety of the installers had to be considered. A Certificate of Electrical Safety must be supplied. The unit was built 26 years ago, and the inspection also gave me peace of mind. 2. I really don't know how to answer this, The general manner, and answer to questions - and the installers very approachable. As mentioned, Both the electrician and installer took many photos of the work done.
