Great Product! Does a fantastic job! – My review is for the Epic Water Filter Dispenser (that I bought to replace the Eight Stage Mineral Water Filter-this Mineral Water Filtration system was a HUGE headache!! Not only expensive, for I had to replace every couple of months three parts of the system; but more so, the mineralisation of the water after it was filtered; I found it tasted… Read more
heavy, made me constantly nauseous, and I had horrible migraines daily!!)
Then I tried the Epic Water Filter Dispenser and found my peace! I use Nano filters to filter the tap water.
The only downside is: - Dispenser only comes in the 150 gallons size, which isn't big enough and needs constant refilling during the warmer months - Nano filters are expensive to buy! They cost around $90 per unit! YIKES! As they are patent with the dispenser in the USA.
The positive side from my experience here are:
The Nano filters need replacing every six months, so works out for the long run! The water is so much cleaner and fresher than drinking it straight from the tap.
The service is both good and the product is outstanding both in its functionality and design! Except, I would have preferred the Dispenser to have been larger in capacity as I find it constantly annoying to refill it three times in the day, when I'm home!
Epic and Pure! – Put your hands up if you like the chlorine taste of tap water, we didn't, and now we don't have to,...., decided to do some research, found this unit is far superior to the brands sold at Big W, Kmart, The Good Guys, etc. It is very easy to use, fill it and fridge it, that's it!... by superior the filter removes over 200 contaminants, including… Read more
Fluoride, Pesticides and Herbicides, which your typical cheaper brands can't remove it's quite telling that the Epic takes about 10 minutes to filter 1.5 litres of water, it just means it's thorough, i'm in no rush for a better result! The Epic uses a solid block of carbon as opposed to the cheaper grain carbon of the other brands hence it takes a bit longer. An interesting fact, we live in regional N.S.W. our town has an Air force and Army Base, there has been runoff from fire fighting foam at both locations for decades, as a consequence low levels of contamination have been found not too far from our main drinking water catchments.....just sayin' The Epic also removes 99.9% of the above fire fighting foam "Forever Chemical" PFOS and PFAS.
There is an inbuilt 90 day timer to remind you to change the filter, i estimate with our usage it should last around 6 months, the filters are not particularly expensive considering the work they have to do, if you join the club you get a 20% reduction, drops the price to $71.20,..... under $ 3 a week. Purchased he Epic water pitcher mid October this year' cost me just over $100 including shipping via their website, wouldn't be without it, we even take it with us when we travel.
