Start before 18 months with the separate legs – The bag is very warm and does not ride up the neck. If you’re looking for a bag like this with legs well after your child has started walking, maybe reconsider as they might be too used to a normal sleeping bag by then and not like the separation. If your child has only recently started walking this may suit you. The zippers can be a little fiddly and when separated, note that some of the warmth escapes through the gaps so you might need socks.

The arms are snug, well fitted PJs or just a singlet are a must (depending on temperature of course). Flannel PJs would not work well as the sleeves would ride up considerably and be uncomfortable with the snug fit.

Fabric is lovely and the suit washes easily in the washing machine, a durable fabric that will stand the test of time.
