was charged $10 for a late fee. I proved to them that there was plenty in my account. They said it was not our problem, but it must be your bank. Sorry, then I asked for a $10 credit, as I also have expensive internet access with them. The person yawned and said Do you want the service or not I changed providers A.S.A.P Show details

Was with Escapenet for 3-years, 2 off those years was with Australian Broadband before name change. Started with the family plan but after poor speeds called to cancel and Instead upgraded to pro as was told all providers have the same speeds due to nbn access. After upgrading my speeds and connection worsened so I have changed to Telstra. I no… Read more

longer trip over the cords my sons had running from modem to xbox/computer to game as the connection speeds are at least double what they were. Wish I’d made the switch a few years ago!

RUBBISH SERVICES NBN WORST INTERNET – I had a terrible experience with EscapeNet and feel compelled to share my story. I signed up for their NBN service after being assured there was no lock-in contract and that my speed issues would be resolved with an upgrade. Unfortunately, the service was unusable from day one, with constant dropouts and slow speeds. I contacted tech support… Read more

immediately, but they were unhelpful, deferring action and requiring "monitoring" before addressing the issue. Things got worse when the service completely stopped working the next day. I had no choice but to switch to another provider for stable internet.

EscapeNet later convinced me to transfer back, promising to fix the issues. This turned out to be an even bigger mistake—the service was worse than before. When I contacted support again, I was met with rude, dismissive behavior, including someone hanging up on me when I questioned their refusal to resolve the issue.

To make matters worse, they initially agreed to a refund as part of their guarantee but later refused to honor it, despite acknowledging the service didn’t work. This is completely unacceptable and goes against the assurances they gave when I signed up.

Thankfully, I’ve since moved to a new provider, and my internet speeds have skyrocketed from 10 Mbps with EscapeNet to 750 Mbps. Avoid this company at all costs—they don’t deliver on their promises, and their customer service is shockingly unprofessional.

Would not recommend EscapeNet to anyone!

Excellent customer service – I have a new connection through escape net. I have found their value to be similar to other providers, however picked them because I can get a mobile phone Sim through them, on the same bill as my NBN, on the Telstra network. So basically Telstra value but without the Telstra price tag. I have just bought this house and on arrival I found I… Read more

couldn't just plug my modem in and get internet. I phoned escape net and they were on the ball. I was given advice which I followed, but there was no luck so they organised for an NBN technician to come out. Long story short, 2 days later I have internet and escape has kept me informed the whole way. Every call to them has been answered quickly and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

This is not the first time I have used escape. I connected to broadband with them years ago and when I moved to a more remote location where there was no broadband they gave me dial-up free of charge. I haven't had an issue with them

Customer Service Fantastic – Highly recommend for customer service. They are always patient and spend time to ensure problems are fixed before finishing call. They provided a lot of time in ensuring my account settings were correct for sending and receiving email. Show details

Can't fault these guys. Fast speeds and no dropouts – Originally signed up with Teleron and had some early issues with connection and speeds (early NBN teething issues). Bought out by Escapenet and the service has been consistently good. Speed is always optimum and no dropouts. Customer service helped me with a new router. Highly recommend! Show details

Escape net, don't even try – I tried to connect with Escape Net, the service was absolutely appalling. Communication is non existent, I told them countless times, that I did not want to be connected till a certain time, yet they connected me before my other service ran out. I tried to get them to refund me, as I realised if the service was this bad before even being a… Read more

customer it was not worth it. So they have now charge me $109.00 and I have not even used them. Don't even bother trying.

Totally useless – I signed up with Clickbroadband 3 years ago, they were great. Bought out by EscapeNet, then all downhill. Frequent speed slowdown and dropouts. 3/1/22 down all day - customer support closed!! Time to move to an isp that gives a crap. Show details

DO NOT recommend. After Escapenet bought Click, customer care went out the window – Account manager was unwilling to work with me, and I was overcharged for service not received. They claim no contract, but read the fine print and you will see otherwise. Other NBN providers have the same price for the same service, so keep shopping and go with someone else.

Beware – Tried to sign up with this lot back in October it was looking good and took the 1st step of signing up and placing an order. Got an email asking for ID it was provided and then the order stalled, they did nothing Told me that a pre payment would come out of my nominated account nothing happened. Rang to see what had occurred and it appears it was… Read more

just passed around the office. Promised it would get done and then they took two pre payments. That was the final straw I cancelled and referred them to the TIO. Sent an email to them requesting a number of things be done and no response.

Pay attention! hidden fees galore - shiftiness to the max – 2 years with these guys and pain from the start...sad connection, then transferring to the bigger plan to accomodate c19 lifestyle , payed more money basically for same service that other cheeper providers would offer anyhow, they calculate speeds UP TO...not THE LEAST SPEAD. if you are moving to another place they CHARGE CONNECTION FEE $99, so… Read more

BE CAREFUL when moving to first look for other providers before calling them to announce end of service with them, as in case you assumed you will go with them in the new place and they tell you that connection fee is $99 they will charge you $55 “redrew fee”...so shifty...but there you go...inventing new ways to take money for NOTHING...greedy , not deserving to have new customers with these tactics.

Competitive on price, Australian based support, but not delivering on speed – I initially signed up for a 50/20 service over HFC using Teleron. Escapenet kept the contract when they took-over and the transition was smooth. Average service during the day, but increasingly bad during the evening. It got to the point where streaming was no longer possible. SpeedNet tests gave an average of 5/1 during evenings, getting back to… Read more

normal after 23:45pm. Helpdesk is qualified and helpful, but they blame your wifi router first, then nbn, whereas it was really clear to me from the start that Escapenet where throttling the bandwidth. After nothing changed after calling 4 times in 2 weeks, I switched to Aussie who have been delivering what Escapenet couldn't.

Reliable ISP, user-friendly interface, good customer service, not very competitive price – We were with Teleron before they went under and was bought out by Escape Net. They honoured the old plan which is great at that time. We are on FTTB NBN connect and it is reliable, occasionally drop out (may be an hour once every month) but that is hard to identify whether it is the hardware, NBN or ISP fault. We are on 12/1 mbps plan. The speed… Read more

usually 75-80% on average of advertising speed which is acceptable for our standard. Ping is high though which might not be ideal for gaming. Stream at FHD is easy with this speed.

Esc only account access is easy and simple to navigate. Customer service is great. They answer phone call with minimum wait time.

Only thing I am not quite happy is their pricing. Say, if you are in for unlimited data, which they advertise for $59.90, you did better off be with major ISP for advertised speed. Also, we tried to price match since we are quite happy with them but want something competitive, despite promised of calling back, they never did which, IMO, should be upfront from the beginning instead of leaving me waiting.
