Disappointing products and even worse customer support My Floodlight 2 Pro camera has failed after only a couple of years. The serial number on the camera has completely faded in the sun, and I’ve been unable to reconnect the device. Despite the product otherwise appearing to be in good condition, Eufy support is now telling me that I need to… Read more
purchase a new product.
What’s even more frustrating is trying to get support when something goes wrong. Instead of actually resolving the issue, you’re met with endless scripted responses, apologies, and explanations that ultimately go nowhere.
It feels like the support process is designed to wear you down rather than genuinely help fix the problem. For products that aren’t particularly cheap, I’d expect much better reliability and customer service.
Unfortunately, after my experiences, I won’t be purchasing Eufy products again.
An exhausting, AI-driven support returns maze designed to make you give up. Navigating Anker and Eufy's customer support is an incredibly frustrating experience that feels intentionally designed to make customers abandon their warranty claims. After experiencing two major hardware failures; A HomeBase 3 dying after just three months and a eufyCam… Read more
E330 failing completely in under six, I can confidently say their support process is a nightmare.
Aggressive AI & Ignored Details: Their email system clearly relies on automated keyword scanners rather than human representatives reading your messages. You can explicitly detail the troubleshooting you’ve already done (like testing a 12V power supply with a multimeter), and their system will immediately reply with a generic script asking you to repeat those exact steps. If their system generates a new ticket, they lose all prior context and force you to start from scratch.
Fragmented Retail Systems: If you purchase from the official Anker Australia storefront on Amazon, their internal warranty system often cannot locate your order number. Be prepared to push back and submit screenshots of your invoice multiple times just to prove your purchase.
Unreasonable Evidence Hurdles: Support refuses to open standard Google links to view video evidence of a dead unit. Instead, they force you to use third-party platforms like WeTransfer, which took me an hour just to upload a basic 30MB diagnostic video.
Terrible Return Logistics & Out-of-Pocket Costs: When they finally approve an RMA, they don't include a physical return label in the replacement box. They simply email a TNT PDF label, expecting you to find a printer and arrange your own drop-off with zero home collection options. When I pointed out that my nearest TNT depot was 40km away, their "solution" was for me to pay for the return shipping myself via AusPost and wait for them to reimburse me via PayPal later. After navigating their incompetent support loop, I had zero trust that they would actually process a reimbursement.
Ultimately, this is an exhausting back-and-forth process driven by AI and designed to frustrate customers to the point where they simply give up on their RMA claim. If your Anker or Eufy product fails, be prepared for a grueling administrative hurdle.
One star. Failed me every single time I needed them. I've had this eufy setup for almost two years, and I'm writing this out of pure frustration. These cameras are marketed as a security system — something that's meant to protect you — but they've been useless when it actually counted. The recording consistently starts too late, even with… Read more
sensitivity dialled all the way up to maximum. By the time it kicks in, the moment is already gone. Two separate times my cars were broken into, and the cameras missed both. They've also missed people trespassing on our property. We live in a dangerous neighbourhood, so a working security system isn't a luxury — it's a must. That's the whole reason I bought these.
The night vision is garbage on top of everything else — grainy, unclear, and useless for actually identifying anyone in the dark, which is exactly when you need it most. And the battery has been a constant problem throughout.
I am beyond disappointed. When I needed them most, they failed EVERY TIME. A security camera that doesn't record the crime it's supposed to capture is worse than useless — it gives you a false sense of safety.
I'm warning anyone reading this: stay clear of this company. Save your money and buy something you can actually rely on.
Solar camera lasted 3 months, tried to go through a warranty claim and got messed around with A.I. responses and fobbed off forever until I gave up. I would never buy a EUFY product ever again. They are the worst
Overpriced security system that has a very high failure rate. Cameras do not stand up in Australia's conditions. Warranty only 12 months. So many fail, this one of many models l have had fail is S330 18mth - 2 yrs after purchase. Lot of money to be replaced in that time frame. I brought many for several properties. I have another cheaper brand paid much less for it, lasted 3 times as long so far, I will buy these instead on EUFY from now on.
I was pleased with this robot vacuum for over 2 years, looked after it and it was not used heavily, but it now no longer works and Eufy support just say it is out of warranty and discontinued with no replacement parts available. The robovac is stuck on flashing lights as if to connect wifi, but no matter what I do, including hard reset, I cannot do anything with it. I think that a product that costs $450 should last longer.
Guilty of engineering obsolescence via firmware updates. Spend your money on a big dog and a gun instead.
Bought a eufy robot vacuum cleaner-love it. Installed the Eufy Clean app-love it. Eufy decided to make a new app to run all their devices (vacuums, security cameras, and baby monitors)-hate it. The play store is full of one star reviews of the new app specifically yet eufy have done nothing to fix it. Lucky for me the old eufy clean app is still available for download otherwise I’d be sending the vacuum back demanding a refund.
I purchased two complete eufy camera systems for two different locations, trusting the brand and the features advertised. Unfortunately, after a long period of use, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The biggest issue is the gap between what is advertised and what actually works. The geofencing feature is promoted as part of the eufy… Read more
ecosystem, but in my experience it has never worked correctly. This is not an isolated issue or a phone compatibility problem. The support team repeatedly blamed my smartphones, but I tested the system with multiple devices from different manufacturers, including Samsung, Apple, Motorola, Google, and Xiaomi. The result was always the same: geofencing did not work reliably. After many complaints from users, eufy added a "Beta" label to this function, but this happened only after customers had already purchased products based on the advertised capabilities. Customers should not have to discover after buying a product that an advertised feature is actually experimental or not working as expected. This creates a serious feeling of being misled as a customer. A company should be transparent from the beginning and clearly communicate limitations before customers spend money on a product. Another unacceptable issue is a shared account that cannot be removed from my device list. Despite many contacts with customer support, troubleshooting attempts, and weeks of waiting, there has been no real solution provided. For a security product, this lack of control over accounts and access is extremely concerning. I also experienced repeated video frame losses during recordings and live viewing, affecting the reliability of the system. A security camera that loses important video frames cannot provide the level of confidence expected from such a product. Furthermore, I have serious concerns about the overall security approach of this system, as unresolved account management issues and weaknesses in user control can potentially put customer data and privacy at risk. The most frustrating part is not only the technical problems, but the lack of respect shown toward customers. I invested in two systems, spent a significant amount of time testing, reporting issues, and communicating with support, but after around 18 months there are still unresolved problems and no effective solutions. The hardware has potential, but a security system is not only about hardware. Reliability, software quality, data protection, transparency, and customer support are essential. My experience has been a waste of time and money. I expected a professional company that listens to its customers and solves problems. Instead, I received unresolved issues, unclear communication, and features that do not perform as advertised. Rating: 1 star out of 5 — because of misleading features, unresolved problems, reliability issues, security concerns, and unacceptable customer support. Products boughtnin Germany
Don’t waste your money. Shocking products and even worse service. I invested a fair amount of money in these units - unfortunately as hard it is to admit - a total mistake!. The cameras images fail on a regular basis, they don’t consistently pick up motion, and they take forever to load. Contact support - they acknowledge a hardware failure - yet… Read more
weren’t prepared to replace the product. Tried to use excuses that I’ve purchased the product from unauthorized sellers - even when I hadn’t - then decided to ignore that key issue and offered 25% off my Eufy next purchase (u f’ing kidding) - like I’d buy another product off them. I can attach images of the the poor image quality but unfortunately can’t attach images of the missing motion detection….., if only.
Wifi failure on the X8 Pro robot vacuum, causing a major product failure. Eufy/Anker are refusing to offer warranty support as the product was purchased through a third-party retailer. Apparently, they have no way to verify the product and therefore their policy is to offer empathetic emails only. Atrocious approach... Seemingly unable to verify… Read more
serial numbers and claiming to be unable to help. This highlights the poor quality control of their products.
The view from the S4 cameras are great, However the setup of system not so great purely due to there not being a user manual available. That`s correct! Eufy do not have a user manual for their customers to use or view, neither computer based or print based. Each and every time you have a query you have to contact the Eufy AI Support system,… Read more
Firstly, you have to try and explain to an AI based computer system your issue, easier said than done as it gives answers to questions not asked. If this fails, and it does, you can then send an email to the help line and await a reply? ( Does anyone else think this is a user friendly system?) Because I sure don`t. So would I recommend this company for security systems, NO. The system has many many levels to work through with zero at hand reference to view. But hang on, I can go to my computer, start it up, wait for it to log on, then try to navigate around the AI for answers. Come on Eufy surely you could produce a user manual, even if it`s only a download version. IT`S CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Shame I can't rate as 0 stars. Painful to apply one star for a company that simply doesn't care about it's customers or the importance of providing a reliable security product. Buying the Home Base product should be avoided. I didn't get 12 months use out of mine before home base stopped recording and there's nothing I can do to remedy. But I… Read more
can spend more money to upgrade. It took forever to get the cameras working again after system stopped working for no reason. As I reported the problem just over 12 months from actual purchase date (as it sat in the package unopened for a few months), Eufy refuse to stand by thier product and replace it, rather seeing fit to respond with lengthy non-genuine empathetic 'war and peace' emails that do nothing to fix the product, and wastes more valuable time. Eufy simply want to appear to be empathetic with thier communications while doing NOTHING TO HELP.
Now they continue to badger me to buy new products to add insult to injury.
ABSOLUTE WASTE OF GOOD MONEY & TIME FOR A PRODUCT THAT HAS TO BE RELIED ON FOR SAFETY AND SECURITY.

Bought the S4 camera and base station 3 kit and doorbell camera. Shocking. Just shocking. Wanted to upgrade from ring as we have intruders entering our property and thought EUFY would be an upgrade. Resolution is better which would be great if it could detect motion at night, but it can’t (yes I followed all of the instructions to address). Takes… Read more
ages to upload anyway, buffers (yes tried everything including speed testing activating multibridge etc). Now we are home and more scared than we started
Update: filled out a survey from Eufy via their app - on which they stated they’d be in touch 24-48 hours. No response from them in the timeframe they set. Not a good look
Bought these because I thought they were good. Found out the homebase 3 is only running a 1gbps Ethernet port and won’t connect to a modems that are running anything faster. We have eero 7 that runs at 2.5gbps and the homebase constantly drops its connection to the modem. So I changed to WiFi connection that was worse because it only works on the… Read more
2.4ghz bandwidth and with 4, 4k cameras it floods the WiFi and crashes the 2.4 bandwidth. Not worth the money will be returning and going with either ring or tapo as they are retro run with newer faster modems.
Used to be good. Now it doesn’t load. What is the point of having the cameras and doorbell if you can’t even respond to someone at the door? They are gone by the time you get it to load. Despite numerous people complaining about the same thing, the company hasn’t done anything.
Batteries and cameras dont last more than 2 years. You will be recharging every month, not 365 days as stated. I have 3k worth of these cameras with multiple models and want to return the entire bunch but Eufy won't do it. The software is buggy, the activity zones are pathetic, they capture random events, the app is so slow. Just do not waste… Read more

Honestly, this system is disgraceful, you will 100% regret it. Ive used way better systems then this overpriced garbage.
The worst cameras I bought, i tried to use it for the last whole year but recently getting more and more insane from this. My salon got other cameras from Xiaomi. When I turned xiaomi on, they takes literally 2 seconds to turn on and you can see straight away what happens in the salon. I turned the eufy and 3 times it failed. Tried to 4th time… Read more
then it spins for around 20 seconds then it's finally on. And this happens every single times. How regret spending almost 1.5k for this set of 4 cameras. They are trash!! Avoid this at all cost. Not saying it never picked up the movement or motion if someone standing in front of the shop trying to break in, too dumb!
Constantly waiting for it to load. Close, open, close, open, refresh. Just never loads when you need it to. Deleted, updates, restarted. Hear a noise outside, it's quicker to call an uber, go out for lunch, come back, have a shower then go outside and see what the noise was while still waiting for camera to load.
Follow-up · Still never loads quick enough. Few minutes of open close, open close, exit open close.
I think the products are very good and easy to set up. For years I worried about security for our house and it was always too expensive but now I think this is all within reach for most people. Fantastic video resolution between 2K and 4K depending upon camera model and great audio microphone and speaker capability. Infra red spectrum is very… Read more
good. Ensure you have wi-fi router connected to NBN or Opticomm Fibre. Internet data speed I would suggest above 50 MB / second to ensure good video review rates when away from home. This gear is reliable and well made and mostly IP66 & IP67 for outdoor cameras. We have just had a big wet season in Darwin and all cameras performed flawlessly with all solar panels remaining in place and captured enough sun to always keep the cameras near 100% charged. I have no hesitation recommending EUFY. My only suggestion is to keep and eye on Black Friday specials as well as EUFY website as package deals are frequently on offer offering more than 20% discount. Do shop around you can save many hundreds of dollars. The delivery was a little slow from EUFY in January direct when I ordered (2 weeks) but retailers like Good Guys and Harvey Norman can be even more competitive with better direct stock availability if you are in a hurry. Install is easy to outdoor concrete wall but I suggest a cordless drill. The batteries are excellent for the non solar camera types with 3 months between charges. We have purchased 13 cameras in total, a mix of E30, s340, s4 and with s380 homebase. The HOMEBASE s380 is the one to get if you are doing just Wi-Fi.
Like others have reported, camera died after first recharge. Despite contacting the support email address on the product sold to me in Australia, Eufy support refused to replace their defective product under warranty, as guaranteed under Australian consumer law, insisting I reach out to their "local distributer" (the official Anker e-Shop Australia on Amazon), where they have been ignoring me for several days. Buyer beware!
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY They are a scam. They may appear to have great, cutting edge products but they break just after a year of ownership. with an AI with very little human interaction. This company breaches all Australian Consumer Laws and will not replace anything under warranty if it's faulty; they have a strict policy where they will only do so if you purchase directly from themselves at full price. The most they will do is give you a 10% discount off another faulty product from their online store. They are a joke! I have invested in their eufy Security Camera devices and Video Doorbells along with the S1 Pro RoboVac. All of these devices have issues. Nothing is made to last. They are built to fail. Eufy are renowned for releasing consistent firmware updates to their devices which in turns breaks the devices. They take ZERO ownership.

service isn't on the planet. I have repeatedly asked for any technical documentation, but I don't think they really understand what that fundamentally means. Looks like I will have to refer to third party reviewers to try and figure this one out. Sorry Eufy, but your customer service help is hopeless and unfortunately mars a good product.
Follow-up · I returned the original purchased set but still some tech glitches. The seller has been brilliant and will probably have to exchange the Homebase 3 unit (new cameras appear OK). Still tried the EUFY support, but they have since closed my support ticket. Instead of endless emails where they were more concerned with proof of purchase, model numbers… Read more
I bought the S300 two pack of cameras and both have now failed with major hardware faults. One camera won’t reset or pair at all, completely bricked. The other has a dead LED indicator. what’s advertised. I was having to recharge every week, which is absurd for a product that claims long lasting performance.
When I contacted support, it took multiple messages just to get them to escalate the issue, and even then, they clearly didn’t care. Both of my cameras, bought in February 2023, have suffered major hardware failures that should not happen in this timeframe. Battery life was also nowhere near advertised, after about six months, I was having to recharge the cameras weekly. Despite all of this, support repeatedly hid behind the expired warranty instead of acknowledging the actual faults. Their “resolution” was a pathetic discount link to buy more of their unreliable products. No accountability, no effort to help, and once it became inconvenient, they simply stopped replying altogether.

Based upon Eufy support I will consider replacing all of my cameras with another brand. I cannot recommend them at all.
It turns out as I said to them and they categorically denied it is their new app. I now have three cameras affected and the doorbell camera has mysteriously started working again.
Follow-up · Oddly the doorbell has recharged and now works again fine.
Not Happy Eufy – I have used Eufy products for years now, and they have been first class, however getting in touch with them or getting correct answers from retailers. In one instance I grabbed a box on display and EVERY box was empty, the retailers said, “oh Eufy organised that way themselves, not us”. Then one endeavours to contact Eufynby email or phone, and it’s made super difficult to do that, to just ask a simple question of them. Annoyed yes I am.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. Terrible warranty and backup service – This system is very glitchy. Difficult to connect to WiFi despite good signal.
