When Eulactol was a standalone company (I believe) their Heel Balm was fantastic but ever since they were taken over by Scholl it is no where near as good. The effect of the balm wears off quickly whereas it used to last for a long time. The balm itself even feels different , They may have adjusted the formula to get more recurring sales? Cheapen the cost of the product? I do not know but I’m not buying it again.

Life changing! – So good! It started working even after just one application. I put it on at bed time and it has saved my feet. I had deep dried splits in my feet, they were so painful. This stuff is great, it’s totally healed and smooth. Show details

Doesn’t work – Works similarly to a simple lotion or Vaseline. The urea concentration may not be enough as observed from the consistency and lack of results. Show details

A legit Godsend! – I bought this cream from my local pharmacy for my severely cracked heels. My heels were so deeply cracked they were bleeding and the backs of my heels (where shoes give you blisters) were forming tiny cracks running horiztonal across my heels. It hurt to walk and I was slathering them in moisturizer nightly with silicone socks to try and keep it… Read more

on. It never really got better because the air where I am in rural Aust. is so extremely dry. Add to that I just moved from lovely hardwood floors to tile on a slab. My feet were killing me with every step.

Things I love about this product; - IT WORKS!!! - It works FAST! - It soaks in really fast. I put socks on just in case but really it isn't required. - It doesn't smell bad - It doesn't stain fabrics (as far as I can tell) - Its priced very well - It helps everywhere you put it, not just heels. I put a smidge on the very dry backs of my hands and they're looking 5-10 yrs younger after just 2 applications! -Rubs in well and easily - Keeps feet soft but also heals all the tiny creases and stops cracks dead in their tracks! - Its not sticky or oily or too runny. Its kind of like a natural honey consistency (minus the stickyness) - No dyes or anything unnecessary just to make it look or smell amazing. - I love that it's stocked everywhere and is easily sourced should I need more. Which I definitely will, I can't see myself ever stopping using this stuff. Its just that good.

Things that could be better: - Nothing, its perfect!

Absolutely highly recommend this product!

Good but is different now – Have been using Eulactol for years. The Gold formula has changed over time. It’s now very smooth to apply. The old formula was more sticky but it was also richer and was amazing at repairing dry/cracked heels. This one is good but feels more like a generic heel balm from a supermarket. Personally, I preferred the old one. Eulactol also used to… Read more

make a fantastic Hand Cream which was taken off the market several years ago. That was seriously the best hand cream I have ever used. Bring back the hand cream (original formula)!

Works with regular use – I had dry skin and cracks in my heels. I used a pedi egg and a pumice stone first, then applied the cream. Then socks. I then just used the cream every day for another couple weeks and my feet became soft and the cracks were gone. After a while, I got lazy and didn’t apply it as often (at least every second day, just a thin coat and don’t need to… Read more

worry about socks) my heels started to get patchy, dry and flakey. Went back to using the cream and a couple days later, they were all smooth and pink again. So this product does work, you just have to keep using it. It’s maintenance, not a cure.

Fixing my heels and surprisingly my scars – I started using this product last week and my heels are looking amazing. I had some excess on my palms so I rubbed that onto my old scars on my legs, surprisingly my scars seem to have faded slightly. Very happy with this product! Show details

Waste of money – I agree with others, new formula is a useless waste of money, my daughter is a pharmacist (hospital, not a community pharmacist out to sell rubbish), she advocates straight Urederm, much cheaper and actually works. Used to be a fantastic product, now just a rip-off!!! Show details

Dissatisfied with the school heal balm new formula – I have used Scholl Eulactol cream for years with great results but the new tube I have purchased is terrible, it’s a thin white cream and seems nothing more than a moisturiser, very dissatisfied with this new formula, I will be looking around now for another brand to use. Show details

Disappointed – Formula has changed and no longer works after using twice a day for a week. Now white and thin instead of tan and no longer smells of lanolin? Other previous reviews indicate now made in India instead of Australia? Show details

Why did they change the formula??? They've ruined it!! – I have used Eulactol Heel Balm Gold for as long as I can remember and it used to be fantastic. However, they have changed the formula and it is nowhere near as good now. The cream is now white and of very thin consistency compared to how it used to be, which was yellow and very thick and tacky. I won't be buying this product anymore. So… Read more

disappointing. An example of how to take a really good product and ruin it. And how to lose a long time loyal customer.

Horrid! – I have used scholl as heel balm periodically for many years and it used to be brilliant, you could see results within 1-2 days. The new stuff sucks its consistency is completely different. It rubs on like a generic runny moisturiser and after using it for a week has done almost nothing to my heels, so disappointed. Show details

Waste of Money – I have used this product for over 1 week now and there are no noticeable differences in my heels. The product states you will notice a change to your heels in 3 days. Very disappointing. The old formula worked very well. Why did they change it?

The new formula is a waste of money – Does not work as good as the old formula and has caused a red rash on my feet and hands where I rub the excess in to the tops of my hands. Very disappointing for the $27.99 price tag. Show details

Does not work – Old formulation used to work pretty much as the advertising said (results in three days). The new formulation is nowhere near as effective. Makes practically no difference. Would recommend looking for a different product.

Formula keeps changing! – Bought in 90s, worked well smoothing skin in 2-3 days when used sparingly. Recently it has had a weird grainy texture which just rolls off and makes a mess, with few heel smoothing properties. Just bought a new tube. It’s thin like a lotion. Why does the formula keep changing when the original worked so well? Show details

Nowhere near as good as the old formula – I agree with previous reviewers. I have been using Eulactol heel balm for many years and was very satisfied with it. It was by the far the best brand available. The new 'Gold' version is useless. You can tell as soon as you apply it that it is going to have no effect - there is no substance to it. What a disappointment. And how odd that the makers have not responded to feedback and reintroduced the old formula. Show details

Dont bother with this crap – I have been using the scholl heel balm for years and it has always worked amazing. Apparently they have a new and improved "gold" and it is useless. It does not even compare to the old formula. Do not even bother purchasing as i threw the tube in the bin. Very poor business decision obviously chasing higher profits as i see the new one is made in… Read more

India where as the original tube of awesomeness was made right here in Australia, another reason why i purchased in the first place. Sorry Reckitt Benckiser you have lost a loyal customer. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!

Excellent for a quick fix! – I use this in winter more because my heels get so dry and cracked with the weather. With just one application, there is results the next day. Works great when you apply and then you wear socks while you sleep. With anything nothing last forever and constant maintenance of the feet will leave them looking good all year round. I would recommend… Read more

product, as it does work! It does have abit grit to it, but i actually think it is because it dries up abit at the tip. It does last awhile, but I dont use it everyday. Cooler season is approaching so I need to use it again. Maybe I need to wear socks in cold weather to maintain the moisture.

Does what it claims – I am outdoors a lot and don't wear shoes... which inevitably means, dry, cracked heels... I apply this product in the evenings and put on bed socks, so the heat soaks the cream in more effectively. Show details

Very disappointed – I have used this product for many years but my last tube has a sandy grit in it, which won't rub into your skin. it is certainly a different product to previous one and i won't be using it again, what a dissapointment i was always an advocate for this product, not anymore. Show details

Disappointed – My last two tubes however have both hand "grit" in it and it feels like pieces of sandpaper rubbing on your feet, are they trying to introduce "ex-foliation? Very disappointed. Show details

Great Product - Helped Scar to Fade! – I used this on my heel where I had screws inserted. And I started applying it to my foot where I had a scar after surgery. After 7 weeks of using this everyday my scar is almost gone! It was also good on my heel where I had dry skin after surgery. Highly recommend this product!! Show details

Not as good as it used to be – This product is nowhere near as good as the old formulation. This newer formulation applies well and it soaks in easily but my feet aren't responding as well as to the older product. I'll be looking for something different. Show details

Saved my feet – Saved my feet! I suffered from hard, dry, cracked heels, and decided to start using this (after applying a pumice stone to the dry skin). Used daily, my heels are silky soft, and all cracks have healed. Really works, would definitely recommend! – This is a fantastic product for getting rid of dry skin on your feet, especially when paired with a foot file. I noticed a huge difference in the dry skin on my heels within a couple of days of regular use. I'd definitely recommend it as one of the most budget-friendly and effective options for looking after the skin on your feet, especially with summer approaching!

works quickly – The results from this product are instant. After one use you see results and three days great results (as the packet suggests) and after five days they are great. I agree with other reviewers the results aren't long term so I use a cheaper moisturiser every few days to maintain smooth heels. It is non greasy and not thick and uncomfortable in tbe heat. Coconut oil works well to maintain heels once smooth.
