Euromaid EDW14S / EDW14W Questions & Answers
VerifiedMy dishwasher is flashing red Rince aid and on switch and won’t do anything except make a noise like it’s starting but won’t go any further
Hi Deanna, I'm sorry to hear of this. Based on what you have described it sounds like you may have experienced an overflow. If it has any water at the base you can remove it and make sure it is dry before trying again. If the issue persists you may require a technician to check it. Thanks
I've just solved this exact problem for anyone coming here late. Pull your dishwasher out of its cavity, tilt it around in all directions and a bunch of water is likely to come out (have towels ready). This reset the overflow sensor and machine was back to normal
It seems like the machine registers that there's still water down in the base, even when the actual dishes box is completely dry. Seems to happen if you interrupt a cycle while there's still water inside.
Thank you Ken This can help to re-set the overflow sensor. If the issue persists then you would need a service technician to come out to assess the problem. Kind regards Euromaid
Dishwasher runs and completes but does not clean or dry . No error codes presented . Machine never appears to get hot during the cycle including no stream at the end .
Hi Jonathan, Thank you for reaching out to us and I'm sorry to hear the dishwasher does not clean or dry. Based on what you have described it seems it could be an issue with the element. To confirm this you may require a technician to take a look at it. Thanks
Washer has both lights flashing but it will not start!!!!
Hi Noel, thank you for reaching out to us. Based on what to have described it seems you have experienced an overflow. You will need to check for water at the based and manually drain it away. Once it is dry it should run as normal. Thanks
6 months out of warranty and it’s started making a humming noise but not actually doing anything. Checked the water hose outlet and thought we’d fixed it only to happen 2 weeks later again. Have checked all filters and hose and made sure there’s no water but it still just hums and won’t even reset. If I turn the dial to off it still makes the humming noise, only stops when I turn it off at the wall.
Hi Karen, thank you for question and I'm sorry to hear of this. Based on what you have described it seems you have experienced an overflow. If the machine is still humming you will need to remove any water from the base (you may need to tilt the machine to remove any water left behind). Once removed and dry it should function as normal again. Thanks
I tried that and it happened again, up to three times now.
Thanks Karen, if the dishwasher is continually overflowing. It would be best to have it checked by a professional. I will reach out to you directly to get some additional information. Thanks
I have a EDW14S and no matter what program is selected it fills with water and sits there for a while and does not progress through the program. It them empties and fills again and this just going on like a never ending story.
Might be time to contact them. I have never had a problem myself.

Hi our dishwasher is doing the exact same thing. Rinse aid light was flashing, added rinse aid but now the machine is humming when in the off position. Model EDW 14S. Water is all drained out but cannot fix. What can I do?
Hi Rachel, thank you for your question and I'm sorry to hear of this. Based on what you have described it sounds like the flood switch might be activated, most likely water remains at the base and if removed it should start again. If this is not the case it may be best to have a professional take a look at it. Thanks
Brand new dishwasher used it for 2 weeks and now it won't turn off while the impeller is at off. It also makes a duzzzing noise
It’s a terrible machine

I noticed on the manual it needs salt is this for hard waster areas?
Hi southerngirl62, Thank you for your question. Yes in addition to the conventional tablet detergents, there are also commercially available detergent tablets that show water softening salt and/or rinse aid effect. Some types of these detergents contain special purpose components such as glass and stainless steel protectors. Thanks

Does anyone have know what happened?
After getting a technician out we were told that it was due to too much rise aid. After not using rise aid anymore it still has the same issue it has happened another 4 or 5 times. I just leave it until it decides to start working. Ps I think the machine is a peice of crap and wouldn't buy another one. Customer service is crap also.
Thinking of buying one. Seems a few have experienced this issue. Any word if it's just a DOA thing Euromaid?
Hi joelcento, Thank you for considering us. In the event the new appliance was DOA it would be replaced. Thanks
Nonsense pal you ain't helping crap, why don't you just tell the solution rather than asking to call you mate
Hi Marcia, I have already replied to your other post and l have messaged you directly to get additional information. Thanks
Did anyone get the solution? Mine is doing the exact same thing
Thank you, the potential issue could be that flood switch may have triggered the drain pump. If all the water is dried up it normally fixes the problem. If it does persist though you may require a service person to access it. Thanks
I Just purchased one of these units and we are now having the exact issue that is described here - after the first wash!!! Flashing green light and weird humming noise. What a piece of crap, wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.
Spoke with euromaid customer service today. Definitely a known issue. It is the flood switch being activated by the drain outlet not draining properly. Apparently can happen due to internal diameter of the drain outlet connection spigot (into the sink waste trap) being too small on the internal diameter. Had to drill this out to 13mm (was only 10mm to start with). Then disconnect the machine and pull out from cabinet so that the whole machine can be tilted forward (or back) to release any water trapped inside the machine. Get some towels, as quite a lot of water comes out. Reconnect the machine, and it is now all sorted. Opening up the drain spigot to 13mm seems to do the trick.
Hi Daniel, I am glad you were able to find the answer. This issue isn’t related to the appliance but rather the way it is installed. Please note that this information is included in the installation handout the comes with the appliance under dishwasher water connection. Thanks
