Buy another brand

As soon as it gets over 28 degrees, it shuts down with error codes , contacted evakool and they put you on to a service agent who is either too busy or can’t look at it for weeks , very hard when you travel full time .. look at another brand, they are not worth the money Show details

Fridge works well, no issues with workability. That refrigerate noise that is really annoying

Quite Noisy, constant gurgling, even in comparison with the same make and size fridge at repairer. Have personally sent it twice to have it assessed, repairer wasn't sure how to fix the noise, and the bloke from everkool rejected the claim. Saying Its normal to make this noise, shouldn't be set below -10° ( factory can be set -16 ) and then to add salt to the wound... the purchase recipe ( noticed by everkool) states this fridge was bought from BCF as a " damaged " item ! When it was sold to me as the last one/ discontinued - no problems mate. Well.. I would put up with the noise if was deaf, se what fare trading has to say , just to be clear, fridge works as advertised, but this one's just to Noisy. Show details

Has been a great fridge

Fridge is now 6 years old and never missed a beat.
Ran 24/7 for 6 weeks up Cape York doing the telegraph track with freezer one side, fridge the other.
Beers were cold, frozen food stayed frozen including the ice creams.
Intermittently used for camping and boat trips mainly otherwise.
Have had several other fridges over the years and would rate it better than a Waeco CF80 Show details ·  1

Piece of crap!

If you only want to use it in Tasmania, then it just might be ok. Anywhere else in Aus, in Spring, Summer or early Autumn, forget it. The freezer will struggle to keep -10 on a 24°c day. The fridge set at +2 will only keep +6, AND the compressor will run continuously. If it is 30°c day, then the freezer will maybe get -1 and fridge +10. Save your money and buy a decent fridge. Show details

I have a fridge that is less than three years old and can’t get it to cool

I have a fridge that can with a second hand camper that I can’t get to cool. I can’t be any clearer than that.

Wi-Fi setting is garbage. There’s no quick and easy connection.

There’s no support and the majority of people with problems are told to return the fridge to a service centre.

Better off with a 40 litre plastic Engel. Show details

Does what we need

This was in our boat when we bought it, late 2020. Does what we need, power consumption is good.
Only issues is manual control panel does not work, am I doing something wrong.
Changes done via App if I need to, is there an update for newer phones?
I also have a Rydge Rider 60L, no issues. Show reply

I purchase my G50 at Agquip a number of years ago and have hardly used it as i don,t trust it It went back twice before being replaced and the second time came back with a box cutter slice in the cover I have now just had it repaired at the Tamworth agent at a cost of $221.22 to replace the fan motor and am not game to go traveling again as i don,t want to risk loosing all my food when it brakes down

Waiting on answer whether i can get spare parts

I needed a new control board as i can't lower the temp, it's stuck on 9 degrees.
They emailed back saying i have to take it to an authorized dealer which is impractable
Have to dump it.
Instead off being helpfull, they just want to pawn me off to a authorized dealer and not issue me with the part which is a simple 10 minute fix.
They haven't emailed me back to tell me if I can have the part or throw the fridge in the bin.
Customer service seems very poor.

Brilliant fridge great price

Purchased our Evakool Glacier 55l about 18 months ago. We have used this fridge for camping and have replaced our expensive caravan fridge with this fridge. It has never missed a beat and we are very happy with it. We even used it at Christmas and New years time for the extra food storage.  Show details ·  1

Everkool Never again

I had an Everkool Glacier 80ul portable fridge for 2 years and had no end of trouble with burnt out control board. Replaced twice under warranty but 3rd time gave the fridge way!! Meanwhile my Engel Eclipse now 10 years old just keeps going. You get what you pay for as the saying goes.  Show details

Rubbish!

Purchased 74l dual compartment just over 2 years ago. Has been used for approx 4 weeks over the past 2 years. 3 days into our 2 week camping trip the fridge all of a sudden stopped cooling. Compressor still runs with no error codes but temperatures increase. Could hear gas leak at back of case so there's a good chance the fridge has leaked all gas and therefore wont cool. No customer support for the next week during xmas period so stuck without a fridge. I'm hoping Evakool can sort this out for me once they reopen.  Show details

Evakool 36litre dual zone fridge freezer

I have owned a 36l Evakool fridge/freezer for 8 years and as we are grey nomads travelling Oz it works pretty much all day every day. When we stop for a while it is on 240v but when we travel it is on 12v and we have done 90,000 ks in the van with the fridge in the back of the tow vehicle. Have only had one fault in that time $150 to fix and has not stopped since.
I am looking to upgrade to a 50L Glacier but the negative reviews on this site have me thinking twice. Jon Show details

Don't expect any service

This fridge seemed great when I got it, but after only about 6 weekends of use it failed. Took it to the Evakool recommended repairer who said it was not repairable because a gas leak was inside the cabinet.
It was in perfect condition other than no gas but had to throw it out. Evakool didn't show any concern. Do not buy their products, crap service. Show details

Hi, My Glacier 75 is 5 years old and has worked very well until recently when I have noticed that it does not seem to stop running, even in cool conditions with nothing in it and the lids remaining closed. Freezer is set at -8 degC and fridge at 6 degC. Could this be a thermostat issue or something else? Thanks in advance.

Likely that the thermistor has failed and needs replacement

Thanks, Kev. My thoughts as well. I assume this should be a spare part available from EvaKool?
