Everdure Lumina

Frustrated – Flame is ok. But keeps overheating. Started to turn on at 18 then when the red light switches down put the heat up by 2 degrees. Thought that was it but noooo. Seems to overheat when the weather is at its coldest. This is the 3rd year we have had it too. Took it back to the factory where they said that it didn't turn off once. hmm

useless – hopeless product. the remote never ever worked, the fan is noisy especially on LOW n all the advice doesn't stop it shutting down every 10 min with FLAME FAIL. tried vacuuming the dust out n still no good".............. ...... ....... ... ... .... etc etc etc etc etc etc etc the space size it was supposed to be able to heat and the silver frontage countless resets of flame fail no help

Dangerous – serviced before winter,its been back 2 more times,still flame fail..and overheat..and now its ignites with a small explosion..and smell of gas...it is very dangerous....service engineer says not to use..imagine using the timer function,a virtual time bomb..i have paid for new ignition module? and other non warrantable items.we will take this further..... when new,good fast heater... dangerous,unreliable,

Think I've found the problem – All, I too was experiencing the all too frustrating constant flame fail. Tried some of the remedies mentioned herein - but to no avail. Then I thought... she is a bit dusty behind. I vacuumed all the vents in the back and on the side. I haven't had a flame fail in about 5 days! Fingers crossed. It could be the same solution for some of you. heats my whole house fan is a touch noisy, and did need repairing during the warranty period.

coffee grinder any more), but constant flame failures when igniting mean you cannot use the timer feature.

Also, the fact it has flame failed twice this winter without shutting off the gas is scary - lucky I noticed the smell of unburnt gas quickly. Honestly, you'd be better off leaving the oven door open than buying one of these pieces of crap. Heats well, low emissions Complete pain in the a#se to light.

Simply awful – Don't Everdure read the ACCC warranties and refunds brochure? Think they better. Ever since we got it, it has never worked constantly. I thought it was gas pressures in the supply line, but never got round to having it adjusted. The unit has been serviced and is just as bad now as ever. So no dust build up like suggested above. My daughter in law has same model and same issues. Looked okay. Convection heater Simply does not work.

Will never ever buy one again – Will never ever buy one again, we had 3 years warranty it went back every single year for 3 years, now warranty has run out. Its now winter and its already started playing up, once it goes it goes in the bin. Just a waste of $1000.00. The Remote Control. When it has only run for 5 mins then turns off from overheating, noisy, just not well made at all.

OK – As with most other reviewers, the flame fail reset became a problem, but the way we rectified this was by having the temp set at 22C, and now the heater works really well. If you had the choice, I would go for a Rinnia or Vulcan, but if cost is a factor this heater does the job well. good looking heater. reasonably priced. the flame reset

Worst heater ever!!!! – Do not buy one. Hasn't worked properly ever. Took 3 back to shop before they stopped swapping them. Had our gas checked and all OK. Definately the heater. Call out fee is ridiculous. Constant flame fail. Even set at 16 degrees is flame fails. This morning I have started it 11 times so far and it has started and then........ FLAME FAIL!!!! Do not buy one if you want to keep warm in winter. does not work

Terrible – I bought this new heater and I have had the same problem as most other reviewers from day 1. In last 3 years, The "Flame Failure" never stop every time we turn on and used. I have followed the manual to clear the the filter etc. but nothing works. I don't know where can I get it fix ? Please tell me where is service centre for this unit. stop selling this product until the problem is fixed.

Terrible – The control panel is ostensibly cosmetic. The unit has one functioning control setting, the power switch at the wall! The other reviews only whet my anticipation of much more disappointment to come. Potential purchasers, run screaming in opposite direction now. Caveat emptor!!! 'Aussie made' (with Chinese and/or Russian parts I'm guessing). We own one.

heater from family who no longer needed thiers and its works beautifully, much quiter and heats up the room better and is much more effecient. Nice apperance Flame failure, wont reset have to turn and take off the plug every 10 mins and then wait for another 15 -20 mins for the unit to cool off as the top portion at the back gets really hot.

Good – I noticed that if i extend the pipe and make it almost straight without any bends, it works fine, but if there is a minor bend then it keeps giving me flame fail. Try that? Heats well Like others, kept getting flame failure

Terrible – The fan is incredibly noisey and lets this otherwise elegant unit down. If the manufacturer could address the fan noise issue then this unit would be an excellent heater. modern exterior design and control features excessively noisey fan

Excellent – I really feel like the black sheep here. I did have flame fails and had problems trying to reset the heater but rang everdure and they had someone there within days. The not being able to reset was fixed by taking it off the extension lead. I'm really going to be hated for the next part but I'm not sure how he fixed the flame fail but I haven't… Read more

had a flame fail in 1 year since he did. I think he moved a piece of wire on the side of the heater directly into the path of a cigarette size flame thats a bout all I remember. It has been brilliant ever since. I certainly would be worried about buying another one though after reading some of these comments. Good price, heats room well and looks good no problems

OK – It heats up our house well.I have taken it to get the fan noise repaired and was impressed with service and also at the fact that it was at no cost to me. Terrible – Have contacted the company for a replacement product, not in the Lumina range. I think that I will persue it through the department of consumer protection as $1000 isn't an amount that we can afford to put out for curbside collection. OK – Wish I had read earlier reviews, dreading repair costs. Retailer laughed when I mentioned the brand, apparently they don't usually last very long. Elegant appearance, heats a large area extremely well. Has worked well for 4 years. Noisy fan, almost cannot talk over it. Remote has never worked. Servicing can only be done at Lane Cove - why can't local repairers service these heaters?

Terrible – Good looking products and comsumers kind-will may not always end up good buy! Don't buy EverDure made from this mob. Looks good and it was Aussie made. and look like I am not goint to waste my time and $ to repair as it seems to be a design error! Just spoke to their technician, sounds like he does care!

Bad – If it would stay on it would be good as it does heat my home fast {if it stays on for ten min} as I have high piched roofs When its working it warms the home well It will run for 1-10min then go out with the words "flame fail press restart" There is nothing on "Everdre's" web site as how to fix this problem !!! does any one know what to do ????

Terrible – As with the other reviews my Everdure has the flame failure problem but also the fan is excessivley noisy to a point that it is impossible to use. Everdure originally replaced the heater which was good but with another Lumina with exactly the same problem. The new heater is currently at the service centre being fixed (again). Looks very stylish Doesn't work properly and poor service from Everdure

Terrible – I have had the same problem as most other reviewers. Flame Failure appears on the LCD screen. This problem occurred last winter, and was fixed under warranty. I didn't have the receipt so I was happy they still fixed it for free. Can take a few days though, which isn't good in winter. The same problem has just occured. I have cleaned the filters, unplugged, restarted - but nothing works. Given the feedback on unreliable repairs, I'm going to ditch this one. The other heaters in the everdure range don't seem to have bad reviews. Heats well, looks good. Unrealiable, flame failure.

Apart from the fact that I had to send the thing to Lane Cove, it took about 2 weeks to repair and even though they're sending it back today at their own expense, they can't tell me what day the courier company will deliver it. the courier would leave a card in the door and I'm sure he will, but I can't see the point in getting a courier to go somewhere knowing there's nobody home. I asked for the number of the courier company to try and organise something with them, and Everdure gave me a number that wasn't connected. No surprises there.... It's been alot of trouble. I wish I'd never heard of them. Everdure finally repaired the fan Fawlty Towers service standard

Bad – They have since taken this product off the market and not making it anymore, however still selling in WA so be warned! Great for the first 12months. Great when it works, heats up the large room better than a Rinnai and Convector heater. the 4th replacement, and over retarting the heater every 10minutes have opted for a model down with open grill.

Terrible – Well if I saw these reviews before I purchased mine I would not have bought this model, hence my review to warn other potencial buyers. Everdure enduring much longer in the market with useless products like this. looks, LCD display DOES NOT OPERRATE CONTINUOUSLY, works for 3 -5 minute the FLAME FAIL message appears
