Everkare Smart Bidet Toilet Seat Questions & Answers
MPN: EVK-0199-MCEi purchased the evekare bidet from bunnings only been used for a week ,but now the nossel will not come out everything else seems of ok , even if i reboot or even press the button sprayer for 3 seconds the nozzle will come out , i have checked for water pressure from line so its getting water , so whats happening is nozzle not coming out and no water
Return it immediately and do not approve a replacement. Get your money back as the brand caused us nothing but problems for a year, one thing malfunctioning after another. To be upfront, just buy the cheapest cold water unit as the pressure is way better than waiting for water to warm up and if necessary, attach extra water hose that will keep constant room temperature as it enters the bidet. The full featured electronic seat always failed us and demonstrated poor programming tech. You can read my review here.
How do we pair a replacement remote to the seat?
No signs of life in pressing the stop button down for 10+ seconds, and it doesn't seem there is any ability to remove the back cover of the remote to check batteries.
Might not be the remote control at fault as happened to ours, the seat itself became more dysfunctional as time went on. To replace the batteries, you have to find the tiny little gap where the back presses into the main part of the remote’s body. Once you locate that tiny gap, use a tiny flat screwdriver to begin separating the entire base sandwiched into the unit by working your way around the seam until the back plate comes away exposing the batteries. I never had to replace the batteries for 12 months while the main seat unit kept playing up which also meant the remote got plenty of use. Sometimes the buttons on the side had to be used when remote buttons failed. Good luck. We returned it just on around a year of constant problems as it came with 3 year guarantee on the box.
does the bidet have a water reservoir that keeps a small amount of water warm?
yes
No, it delays immediate wash until the water heater has enough time to attain the temperature set with the incoming water passing through it.
Hello again! Can the beep be muted on this bidet? Thanks ☺️
My unit doe's not have a beep. Suggest that you unplug and replug the power attachment
Hi Everyone! Is there a way to mute the beep on this bidet? Thanks ☺️
Our toilet seat has stopped being heated and the bidet seat is less than 2 years old
Our bidet toilet seat is only 1 year old. It works perfectly but for the past couple of days we’ve been getting intermittent beeping. My husband has cleaned everything just in case but to no avail. Any ideas on the cause?
I assume you've tried turning the power off for several minutes while the batteries are removed from the remote control. Then power on the bidet followed by the remote. You might also try new batteries in the remote if you haven't alreadysometimes power cycling will reset it. I have had endless problems with the remote not working, the bidet itself going into strange modes, but
Thank you so much for your advice. We did as you suggested but to no avail. We still get the intermittent beep. It’s very random as well with no set pattern.
How can I get more pressure from the bidet, I have great water pressure
I assume you have maxed out the water flow setting for the seat on the control. If that is the case, and your water pressure is ok then I can only think that your plumber installed a flow restrictor, or that the internal pump is not working correctly. I have low mains water pressure, but on maximum flow it is too high for comfort. Sorry I can't be more specific. Have you tried the supplier or manufacturer?
Rod Has anyone come up with seat sensor replacement details?
THE 'SENSOR' IS WIRED INTO THE SEAT, AND THEREFORE WOULD REQUIRE COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF THE SEAT, UNLESS YOU CAN FIGURE A WAY TO SEPARATE THE 2 HALVES OF THE SEAT. tHE SENSOR IS PROBABLY A PROXIMITY SENSOR, SO MAY CONSIST OF NOTHING MORE THAN A SMALL CONDUCTIVE AREA, SUCH AS FOIL WIRED BACK IN TO THE SEAT CONTROL BOARD IN THE REAR SEAT MOUNT. I don't know if the entire seat is available without the rear control module, I haven't exactly had much cooperation from evakare
I have been advised by Evakare the the sensor cannot be repaired or replaced, need to buy a complete new unit.
Too bad, if I need to replace a new unit I wont be buying evekare bidet again.
Has anyone figured out how to change the water inlet from the right side of the seat to the left?
As I consider the fitting to be on the left as I FACE it, and being an electric model - there is no way to put the inlet on the opposite side (air filter, release tab, sensor). However there is enough room to run the small braided water line across the back of the seat/tank to connect that way - or if the base of toilet is still movable run across behind it - carefully creating a cutout in the china (though I did see some that had mysterious cutouts at the back recently - never occurred to me that they could be a reason). Unless you have a wall cistern and very little space I should think that would be the easiest option. Have you had a word with Bunnings or Evekare?
I bought this Evekare (EVK-0994-MCE) bidet toilet seat for my guest toilet from Bunnings, Mile End in SA for my disabled mother when she visits. She has used it twice and all was fine. Now the remote and seat side controls do not work. When I press the buttons on the side of the seat there is a beep but the nozzle does not come out. When I press the remote control buttons (bidet, rear etc) their lights illuminate, they beep but the nozzle does not come out. The top light on the remote does not come on ever. The batteries are charged (I have tested). When I press the RESET button on the power pack the indicator light does not come on, however the toilet bowl light comes on, I hear noise, the nozzle comes out and drizzles some water and then stops and the toilet bowl light goes off. When I press the TEST button nothing happens. I have turned the tap to allow more water but it makes no difference. I have removed the power pack from the power point for over a minute and plugged it back in and pressed the REST button but the light still does not illuminate but the bowl lights up, the nozzles comes out and drizzles water etc ... Has anyone else experienced this?
I presume when testing you are sitting on the seat. It only works if sitting on the seat as far as the nozzle goes.
Alz, I feel like such a fool. I sat on it and it works after all. It did not work when my mother was here last - there was no sound, nothing. So maybe when I pressed RESET it started working again but I didn't realise because I didn't sit on it. I don't use it as I have a non-electronic one in my onsuite. Thank you so much - the thought of taking it back to Bunnings was very depressing :)
Virginia, if you are referring to the little black box at top of remote as the top light - I think it is signal transmitter window (for want of better word), it never lights up, only the other settings when touched (Bottom, Bidet, Dry and pressure/extension/temperature settings)
Eleni, Thank you. So only the RESET button light is not working, everything else is OK.
Does it work without electricity?
Hi Balpreet, no this model does require electricity as it has a heater, light etc. There is a similar looking model (EVK-0995 $149 NZ) by the same manufacturer, cold water only that is a lot cheaper that only requires the wster connection. You get the washing function only, but better than a spray hose and the fittings are much more durable thsn the handheld sprays available.
Non electricity is Under $100 in .au external link . I have the electric so I have control of wash power, and seat/water/air temperatures. Even though we are generally mild of temp in SA the seat is just about freezing without heat option, except during the hottest of days.
The seat censor stopped working. It prevents from using water or air functions. Any suggestions how to fix it? Thanks Jara
As seat appears to be well sealed you will probably have to take it off and return to either where it was purchased or contact Evekare. Service line is 02 9254 4515. I am assuming you have tried using the reset button on (power cord) circuit breaker, and that the plug hasn't started pulling from powerpoint due to weight - if circuit breaker it is flashing you have a known error refer to manual. Also the basic controls on side of seat. Front is feminine, Back is rear, middle is dry on/off. I have no idea if the slide function of it works as vaguely mentioned. Warranty on model is 36 months. Also how old are batteries in the remote, do they need replacing.
Thanks Eleni, I tried everything, the problem is the seat sensor and the distributor is suggesting the whole seat replacement. But I am out of warranty. I am looking for the circuit diagram , so I could disable the sensor.
Hi Jara, Did you end up finding out how to bypass the seat sensor? I have one that has failed too unfortunately.
Mine came with a 15 yr warranty from bunnings. Not sure if current models are sold with this.
