My father cancelled his Home and Contents insurance due to moving into aged care and selling his home. We were told that the refund would be processed within 5-10 working days......34 working days later, he finally received it, with interest. They… Read more
are quick to take your money, but when it comes to refunding it, they take their time. Not good enough Woolworth Insurance.
Follow-up · Customer service was only fair, it would have been better if they had of processed the refund within the 5-10 days they said they were going to do. Interest rate wasn't much at all, a couple of dollars more than the refund if that. They kept apologising when I kept calling after every time they said it would be refunded, apologies end up not meaning much when they keep promising and nothing happens.
I’m 78 this year and only recommend after a good experience. My wife Toni and I After 2 years for home and more for car insurance I have experienced only good things Show details · 1
Follow-up · What actually completely surprised me was a call I received to talk through my insurance for this year. That resulted in me going over the insurance details and I was actually happy with the outcome!! Just a bloody relief to talk about a question I had. Enclosed is my home and car within a gated complex.

Really easy to get a full quote with competitive pricing for my needs. I also like the benefits of discounts applied to a shop. I wish there was a multi policy discount for both contents and car insurance, instead of having to call up to potential get a discount for that, unlike other insurance companies. Show details · 1
After eight years of loyalty to my old insurer, I finally did a comparison and realised what I was missing. Switching my Home and Contents was a massive win—the premium is way more competitive, and the sign-up was a breeze. No "insurance jargon" or headaches, just clear wording that actually makes sense. It’s a relief to know exactly what I’m… Read more · 1
paying for and what to expect if I ever need to claim. The real clincher is the monthly 10% Woolworths discount. In this climate, seeing that chunk come off a big grocery shop is a huge help and basically pays for a good portion of the policy itself. If you’ve been sitting with the same provider for years out of habit, do yourself a favour and switch. Between the better price and the savings at the checkout, it’s a total no-brainer.
I found Anele at customer service for everyday insurance to be very helpful when I needed to adjust my cover. I also appreciate the weather warnings I receive when storms are expected. Show details · 1
Negative reviews
I have still not had my insurance reduced by 10 % which was mentioned when I signed up. Could someone get back to me on this please. Sure I can get 10% off my groceries but I do not spend $510 on a shop so I feel I am not getting a fair go here, I always pay on time I think this should be dealt with. Cost of living is through the roof, I need some support Gerrard Regards Jane Assauw

Hi Never in my life have I been refused contents insurance but apparently where I live in Kawana Rockhampton is now classed as unacceptable as I found out when I rang to get quote today. Never mind that they took my money when I paid Comprehensive car insurance in July . I asked what the issue was but she could not tell me just said it would not… Read more
allow her to initiate quote when she entered address - maybe it's the operator. Well guess what - have never made a claim for car and the only claim I made to any contents provider was to reimburse me for food loss 10 years ago with Cyclone Marcia in 2015. Continued getting quotes (WITHOUT ANY ISSUES) from 3 other providers. So guess who I won't be using next year for car insurance? Totally Unacceptable. Arlene Ps wish I could remove that 1 star

Simple, digital-first insurance with room to grow. After managing my home insurance with Everyday Insurance for the past year, I’ve found them to be a solid choice for anyone who prioritizes simplicity and value over a 'high-touch' concierge experience. What I love: The Digital Experience: The online portal is arguably one of the best in the… Read more · 1
market. It’s clean, intuitive, and—most importantly—it works. I can access my Certificate of Currency or update my details in seconds without needing to navigate through endless menus.
Pricing: You’re paying for a streamlined product, and the premiums reflect that. It’s competitive, and I appreciate that I’m not paying for features or services I don't use.
Transparency: The Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) is refreshingly clear. I didn't feel like I needed a law degree to understand what I was and wasn't covered for, which builds immediate trust.
Where it could be better:
Support Accessibility: While the self-service tools are great, the few times I’ve needed to speak to a human, the wait times were a bit frustrating. If they can bring that human support speed up to match their digital speed, it would be a perfect service.
App Features: The mobile experience is currently just a window into the website. I’d love to see more 'active' features, like a digital inventory tool or a faster way to initiate a claim via the camera.
The Verdict: If you are tech-savvy, organized, and prefer to manage your policy on your own terms, Everyday Insurance is an excellent, no-fuss option. It’s reliable, transparent, and gets the job done without any unnecessary friction. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a modern, straightforward approach to home protection.
I have house and content and motor car insurance with Everday. I find them very competitive with prices and policy. The policies cover what I need and the disclosure is same as other companies. The online (phone) staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. Yes you have to wait but like all companies nowadays you have to wait for the right person as computer bots don’t work well. I have both home and car insurance with Everyday. It seems to be one of the cheapest providers. I have not made a claim so can’t comment on how they deal with these. Web site is average and digital assistant very little assistance. Long wait to speak to a human. Show details

Don't go anywhere near WOOLWORTH {EVERYDAY} INSURANCE [ HOLLARD INSURANCE] You put a valid claim in and they find as many loopholes and reason not to pay. There are far more reputable Insurance Companies out there that will look after you far better than Woolworths. Show details

I needed to change my card details due to my current card being compromised late last year. I had forgotten to change my card with Everyday Home and Contents Insurance. Once I realized I rang and had a great experience with Gordon on the phone. He promptly and efficiently sorted everything out for me and even went so far as to follow up and made sure my premium was taken out and my house covered. Thank you it was a pleasure to deal with Everyday. Show details · 1
So far my experience has been very good. The discounts on my groceries is an added bonus. Nobody wants to have to make a claim but ultimately that is always the final test of the product. However, over the last couple of years without a claim, I have been completely satisfied. Show details · 1

Speaking with their Customer Service about my Mums Contents Insurance they had no knowledge that we can’t answer questions about the building that my Mum lives in as an independent retirement village resident, we were questioned & had to supply answers that we don’t have. We then heard this person say “oh my God” and all this to a very recently widowed elderly Mother. Show details

STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURER, FOR GOOD. I am dealing with them now through Everyday Insurance which is owned by Hollard. independent builder, and they have confirmed there is NO REASON NOT TO DO THE REPAIR WORK. I have now claimed cash compensation and for that they never bothered to get back to me. I have lodged a complaint against Everyday Insurance/Hollard through AFCA. They have caused enormous damage to our mental health and caused excessive stress for last 1.5 years. ASIC should really ban these guys to operate. Recently they also have been sued by ASIC and it's a public news too: https://www.asic.gov.au/about-asic/news-centre/find-a-media-release/2025-releases/25-057mr-asic-sues-hollard-insurance-alleging-serious-claim-handling-failures/

I had this insurance last year and they sent me a renewal notice a month before it's expiry but upon having a comparison with other insurer with exactly the same excess and cover, the Everyday insurance premium which is $3,101 is $1,000 more than other insurers so I decided to not renew my policy with them. BEWARE Everyday renewed the policy which I didn't authorized and took money from my credit card which they had on my account. I called them straight away that I didn't authorized this renewal and they insisted that the policy is on auto renewal. THEN I was told that my money will take up to 10 business days to show up to my account.

The staff members were polite and knowledgeable however there is no room for a 300% increase in costs especially in this cost of living situation. We were forced to change AGAIN and will continue to as the insurance companies seem to have lost site of their customers in the face of profits. We have never made a claim EVER and receive no monetary offer just more more more. Thanks for nothing Woolworths Show details

reasonable level of price increase to support cost increases but not outrageous increases we are seeing now from the insurance providers. Otherwise WW insurance has been a good provider over the years they just going to lose some loyal customers now ….oh well.

I have not claimed on my home and contents policy but dealing with Everyday Insurance has been very good so far. My local supermarket is Woolworths so the shopping discounts help. Unrelated to home insurance, I would suggest Rewards Insurance offer cover for EVs as they are part of Australia's vehicle transport system and growing in number. EV cover is available through other companies but not Rewards. Show details · 1
