A Fundamentally Good Small Caravan Ruined by Poor Warranty Support – I ordered my Winton 10 in September 2022 and it was delivered in March 2023. Faults were identified early on, comprising: wrong colour cushions supplied, faulty fridge, diesel fuel filter leaking, cupboard doors hitting the ceiling air-con preventing them opening fully and shower door binding on its threshold, requiring upward force on the door… Read more

handle to close the door. It is approaching six months since these items were raised with the Manager of Ezytrail at Caboolture. So far, only the cushions have been replaced. The fridge has been promised to be delivered for nearly three weeks, but still no sign of it. The diesel filter is allegedly on its way from China, but after weeks of waiting there is no sign of it. The fridge, filter and cushions had to be ordered from China because apparently Ezytrail don't keep stocks of spares of these items in Australia. The frustration due to constant battling to get some action on these warranty claims, and not being able to use the caravan, has been very stressful, to the point that my enthusiasm for it is dead. As soon as these warranty items are fixed, I will sell the van. I say "as soon as these items are fixed" but I have no confidence they will be fixed by Ezytrail. Endless broken delivery promises discourage confidence. Perhaps I will be forced to have these warranty claims fixed privately, just so I can get rid of the van and get on with my life. I would like to emphasize that in my view, Zack, the Dealership Manager at at Ezytrail Caboolture, has consistently tried to get these faults fixed, but it seems to me he is confounded by Ezytrail's system, particularly in that replacement parts have to be sourced from China. In relation to the fridge, its replacement was initially refused, despite a person with a B.Sc (Physics) - (me), providing written and graphical evidence from 48 hours of testing the fridge, that proved it could not keep a bottle of milk within the required temperature range. I was informed "that's how fridges are - turn it down a bit" as if an owner is presumed to be too stupid to know a fridge has a manual temperature control.

Buyer beware – Happily purchased a Parkes 15 January 2020, that didn't last very long once we took delivery. After advising Ezytrail immediately after taking delivery of the van that the whole front half of the vans interior was drenched and the front storage box resembling a small swimming pool and hatch over the ensuit had been blown off during transit. The… Read more

Caboolture store did everything to ignore us and our concerns never went anywhere. We were advised it passed the water test so we asked for proof and were denied on several occasions. After about 3 months of phone calls (always from us contacting them) and head office blaming the Caboolture store for the issue of the hatch blowing off and the water in the van (the van came directly from the factory in Vic) we were finally sent a new hatch and told that was the issue and easy to fix. Move on 12 months and we have the front half of the van with water damage, we lost all the bedding and the walls have mould showing through the lining and all the timber is swollen. Lodged a warranty claim and was told to go and get a quote to repair. When we got the quote and sent it to them we were told that $6500 for repairs required the van to go back to base due to the cost and the amount of work. At this stage I again contacted Consumer affairs and was advised this is a catastrophic failure and could be entitled to a refund, this to was denied by head office. We were then told that we were to pay for the transportation of the van back to QLD and then back to Darwin after the repairs, Consumer affairs has advised that this is illegal and no consumer should be out of pocket to fix a faulty product that is under warranty. With quotes to have the van shipped back anywhere from 5k to 10k. We asked that as our consumer rights state that were are able to have repairs done here in Darwin and cost forwarded to ezytrail this too was knocked back by head office, this would save us $5000 minimum. Every option we legally have available to us has been denied by head office. When we asked the Caboolture store who will be completing the repairs we were advised that they out source the repairs to another company. When we asked the Caboolture store manager what is the difference to you out sourcing or us having the repairs completed here, he told us there is no difference it is just what head office want. We then asked had the initial problem been repaired when we initially made ezytrail aware 12 months ago this would have been an easy fix of less than $1000 the manager agreed. He advised would have just had the window removed and resealed. We feel that they got $53000 from us and now they don't want to know us. Why should we be forced to be out of pocket more money to repair a van that was delivered to us was a faulty product. Once delivery is taken there is little to no after sales service as none ever calls back and when you do speak to someone they are not helpful. When you call someone their response is always "we were just about to call you" This has just been a drama from the start. We have used the van only a handful of times, the toilet and shower has never been used. This whole experience has been really upsetting and wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. It leaves us little trust in the whole caravan industry as we have heard of similar issues from people with other brands. This industry needs a shake up to protect the consumer more because this should never be allowed to happen. Just please be aware that if something happens other than where you purchased the van from this company will make you pay out of your pocket to send back for repairs.

Go elsewhere – A dual fold camper has been good for us as a family with 2 kids but if I had my time again I would buy a different brand. Warranty claims and disgusting customer service has me regretting our purchase often. With little difference between brands, I would spend my money where they appreciate your business, and that has not been my experience with Ezytrail. Show details

Parkes 13 – Have had our Parkes 13 for a few months now and have had no problems at all. Easy to setup and everything works as it should. We found Tamara and the crew easy to deal with and our van arrived a week earlier than scheduled. Show details

Ideal for our needs – We purchased a Parkes 15 two berth from Tamara. After doing a large amount of research, travelling through Queensland and into NSW we found our ideal caravan. Thank you. Tony Show details
