Thieves and scammer – I hired the company in November 2016, received a request for payment in full on Dec 28 2016 for pick up 5th Jan 2017. Paid $4550 and then they never showed up for my interstate move from Melbourne to Sunshine Coast! After more than 50 phone calls and god knows how many emails they advised me they were not coming and "good luck on getting your… Read more

money back"!

I reported them to ASIC and took them to VCAT, where they never showed up and I was awarded a full refund which they have not paid. Am now on the process of getting a Magistrates Order so the Sheriff will go collect my money or repossess items to the value of what they owe me!

Save yourself a lot of heart ache and take your business elsewhere.

They rip you off deposit and wont deliver the service – Paid 300 deposit to move interstate, day before moving they cancelled the booking of 50 cubic meters saying the truck is broken, the agent wasn't even apologetic and said its your problem and now we can only do this a week later. For someone who is moving whole house interstate and has to leave the rental property and join work they have no… Read more

humanity leave apart any business sense. They will lure you to pay deposit with their sweet talk but rip you off later. Please do not give a dollar to these cheats.

Report to ACCC – They never respond calls or Emails. They broke one of my items and of course, they do not care of handling my claim (insured with them). I placed a complaint with ACCC. Do it too. Do not let them fool you.

DO NOT USE – Same experience to other unfortunate customers. Lost $300 deposit and had to cancel my card to prevent them from taking further money out. We booked our move in the end of December for a move in the end of Jan. The one time I did get through to speak to Sally, she reassured me the negative reviews on delays etc were because of the high number… Read more

of jobs during the peak season, and to "have faith in them." We decided to stick with them.

Weeks later when we tried to call and email to confirm the move, no answer from either her mobile, the 1300#, her colleague's mobile does not work, and no replies to our emails.

As a result we had to reschedule to another removalist at short notice with limited options in terms of price and timing.

Unethical business or a business that has collapsed.

SCAM. Exists only to loot money – Never responded to me with my pick up time until EOD previous day. Never picked up my 30+ calls and 10+ emails. Responds only to take money. Lost my deposit of 300 AUD. Now they are asking for an additional 300 AUD because they didn't turn up. Reporting to Ombudsman.

STAY AWAY. The Worst Removalist Company – A week after the expected delivery they can't tell us where our entire household contents are. Apparently they owe the subcontractors that are doing the entire job and they won't deliver until they get paid over $40k that they are owed by Ezzy. Do not use these guys.

NOPE. JUST DON'T – Just another voice confirming that this mob are a sham and DO NOT book with them, no matter what you do. As someone else has said, they should be reported to the ACCC. Booked about 6 weeks ago for pickup morning of the 15th in sydney and next day delivery to Geelong. Got a call this week asking for final payment (before my stuff was delivered)… Read more

and telling me they'd pick it up between 2-5 on sunday afternoon and deliver TWO days later.

15th rolls around, no show, no answering calls, found this page of reviews and had my fears confirmed. Still no one picking up the phones on Monday morning and no truck. I went through the same charade dealing with a Sally who got quite defensive when I was annoyed my stuff was going to be picked up and delivered at a later time than I was originally told. Just DO NOT go with this company, the saving is not worth not actually being able to move on the day you organised because they appear to be either a pyramid scheme or just comprehensively incompetent.

Have had to cop the deposit and go with another company who'll pick my stuff up tomorrow morning and deliver it on a Thursday. Costing way more but at this point worth it.

Worst ever company, 2 days later and still waiting for our stuff to be picked up – Don't ever use them. If you're considering it. Just don't. The savings in cost is not worth it. Trust me. Just don't do it. Our stuff was due to be picked up yesterday, we organised for the house to be packed up, took days off work etc and no on showed. No call, no email, nothing. We tried for several hours to contact someone, after some… Read more

investigating we managed to get a hold of some of the drivers and they said they would have the fleet manager call us. Today we finally got a hold of the fleet manager after harassing the poor driver to pass on our message. He told us to stop calling otherwise our stuff wouldn't be picked up. He then told us that our stuff is getting picked up on Monday. We told him it wasn't good enough as our lease was ending and we had to be out of the building. Clearly he had no customer service experience and when asking for other options just kept repeating that he would have it picked up on Monday. I got his number and told him I would call him personally to confirm this would be done.

We then had a call from the office and a girl called Rebecca said there was no reason as to why it wasn't picked up yesterday. And if it wasn't picked up then it should be today. She said she would speak to the depot manager and give us a call back. After 2 hours we called back again and she said she would call back before the end of the day. We left several messages and no one has called us back. We still do not know when our stuff is being picked up and we are left stranded.

Never use this company. They will take your money and then they will let you down in every aspect. No communication, no customer service and no respect for the clients time or money.

I can't say it enough... never use them.

Still waiting for my refund – I booked a date with them months in advance. A few weeks before the move date they ring to say they can't do that date anymore and asked to reschedule. I told them the other options weren't great. They said they'd ring me back the next day. They didn't. I rang them and they said they're still sorting it out and haven't forgotten about me. A… Read more

few days later, I rang them for an update. Their response was, "Oh had no one rung you to say we've cancelled your job entirely?" Fair enough, mistakes happen. But they promised to refund my deposit.

1 week later, still no refund processed on my credit card. I emailed them to make sure they haven't forgotten to process it the way they had forgotten to ring me back. They said wait 10 working days. 10 working days later, still no refund so I emailed again. This time no answer.

Very troublesome dealing with this company. I'll never book them again.

Heaven help us if this is what professional means to them – My daughter booked these, I'll be polite and call them people, a few days after Christmas. They insisted she pay in full up front. They picked their preferred date for pick up and chose the 29th of December. The 29th came.....and went. No truck. Nothing. No phone calls from them to let us know the whereabouts of the truck or what was going on or… Read more

an apology for that matter that we had waited all day for nothing. We had to ring them and when we did we were met with excuses, with no intention of solving the missing truck mystery.

So the 30th did arrive, it was a very hot day. Now all going well we would have expected a call...... "hey, sorry about that truck not turning up yesterday, but you'll be happy to know it is on its way and will be there within the hour" . I think though the heat must have gone to our heads when we expected a courteous call like this one from this company. So, we rang them ....again .....only to be told a myriad of reasons as to why the truck didn't show, and they had no idea when it would show, just stay home all day just in case they get here, or be around and they'll call when they're an hour away. Now we had plans. Journeying further than the "hour away" radius that we would need to be in in order to get back to meet the hallowed truck. So this being a problem, I told, let's call her "R" this and her response was, wait for it..... It's worth waiting for......you'll love it......that I should go out and leave a key somewhere so the removalists, strangers that I don't know, can let themselves in and they can go wandering through my house themselves, alone. CAN YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT!!!! I almost for a brief second thought to look around the house for the camera that was surely filming me being pranked.

If it wasn't so stupid and she wasn't so serious I would have to laugh at the absurdity of what she thought was an acceptable thing to do. Dummy. It's no wonder customers don't get anywhere with this company with these girls as their face.

So as it stands, no truck now for two days, no communication voluntarily forthcoming from them, only ducking and weaving, smoke and mirrors, when they finally answer the phone. And they have been paid. Oh and they are perfectly willing for me to go to Consumer Affairs cause apparently their conditions cover them, so they say.

So for all I know the truck could be on a ferry to Tasmania via New Zealand, and I would I'm sure get the furniture to Melbourne quicker by dragging it with my teeth. I'm thinking I need to put out an APB on them.

And for the record, I'm not a competitor trying to sully their name like they think all negative reviews are and if I could take the star off I would.

No star for you!

To be continued ...... Sadly

Avoid! Terrible Company! – Ezzy Interstate Removalists is the worst company I have ever interacted with. I have reported them to Consumer Affairs Victoria and the ACCC and will be pursuing legal action against them (I encourage everyone on this site to do the same). Take the negative reviews on this site seriously and run as far away as you can. Our experience with them: … Read more

- Said they were going to pickup on the 14th. No show. We called (of course, they didn't call us). Apparently their truck broke down and they will now come the next day at 6am. No apologies.

- Truck shows up on the 15th, hours late (near 10am). But the truck is the wrong size and they can only load half of our items - we paid for 35 cubic metres but they only load 19 cubic metres (we measured and took photos of the truck proving this). They leave many of our items behind and we had to scramble to organize temporary storage immediately at great cost.

When calling to have them fix the situation and organize to pickup the remaining items (which we of course have already paid for) they deny any wrongdoing despite documented, photographed evidence. Company is now unresponsive to email and phone calls. Phone staff (Sally?) is childish and unprofessional.

I encourage everyone to report this business to have them shut down.

WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! – I booked this company to move 2 new sofas from Melbourne to our house in Bowral NSW. I specified in 2 confirmation emails and a phone call that they had to be picked up before 1pm as that's when the factory closed. They got there at 5.30. Pick up was then arranged for the following Monday. That was missed. They were finally picked up on the… Read more

Tuesday and I was told they would arrive the next day. Four days passed with no sign of the sofas. When I spoke to Rebecca (on the rare times she answered my many messages) she could not tell me where they were or why they were held up. I was then told that the truck had broken down and they would be delivered by 6pm Chrismas Eve. This was problematic as I had ordered the sofas specifically for the xmas period as I had 15 family members coming for Xmas eve with nowhere to sit. Unsurprisingly, they didn't arrive. They eventually arrived without notice at 7.30pm on 27th December. The drivers drove the truck over our lawn and damaged our driveway. I was extremely relieved however as I was about to report the sofas as having been stolen.

The company is the most unprofessional I have ever come across. They take payment without consent BEFORE your goods are delivered so you have no security or assurance when or if they arrive. I have reported them to the ACCC - hopefully they can do something about them being able to continue to operate in this manner.

Atrocious company - should not be allowed to operate – Trip: Brisbane to Melbourne A few pointers: - don't trust the Ezzy Interstate Removalist website. but you get what you pay for.

- we prepared an inventory list but they still lost our items

- the movers are not trained to pack and move your possessions, they are just small sub-contractors

- they have too many customers, more than they can handle to earn as much as they can. Not service-orientated at all.

Pick up: We arranged for them to come on Saturday, 17 December, to which they said they would arrive between 11am and 6pm. We had waited the entire day and they did not turn up until Sunday, 18 December (they were 1 day late). The two movers were quite pleasant, helped us to shift our things into the truck. Please note that we had everything packed and ready to go, all in boxes and bubble wrap. However, we did waste an entire day just waiting at home for these people to turn up and also called multiple times with no replies.

Drop off: We had specifically told them that we would only be arriving on Tuesday, 20 December. However, they told us that they had arrived on Monday, 19 December. After some negotiating, they decided to keep it in store and deliver it to us on Wednesday, 21 December. We waited all day and called, they then said "either today or tomorrow." We again waited the whole day on Thursday, 22 December and they arrived at 11.00pm!! The movers helped us to shift our furniture in, but they left us to shift our boxes ourselves. We are thankful that we got everything intact (in piece, not in pieces), however we are missing 2 items. Contacted them and said they would check on our missing items, but still no replies.

tl;dr horrible, disorganised, unprofessional company that will lose your things and cannot give you a specific time of when they will arrive. It is really not worth the stress and sleepless nights.

Disappointing, rude and unprofessional – My daughter has paid for the services of this company to move her things from Sydney to Melbourne on 16th December 2016. following day.

I find it extremely rude and unprofessional for EZZY Removalist not to give my daughter or myself a courtesy call to advise that they were unable to pick up as per agreement. We made several calls, emails and follow ups with no replies. My daughter ended up sleeping on the floor on her new place on Saturday with no mattress or duvet on a freezing 10degree cold in Melbourne, no fridge to store the food and all the inconveniences she and I suffered due to this unprofessional conduct of a removalist who purported to be reliable on the website yet were so unreliable. They had the nerve to re-schedule today, 19th Dec, the moving to take place on Wednesday, 21st December 2016, 6 days after, with no assurance of a definite time to pick up. Hey, its almost Christmas and we don't want to be stranded by false promises. Sally, Rebecca and whoever was manning this company were bunch of people who failed to deliver. This was the first and the worst kind of a removalist we had ever encountered.

Rude and Unprofessional – We were told to expect our furniture on the Saturday but had no correspondence all day. by. An hour and 45 minutes later they finally turned up. It was completely inappropriate and unsafe to deliver a truck load of furniture at almost midnight (they probably woke up the whole street). The removalists then told us that some of our furniture was too heavy and they were going to leave it in the garage, we had to beg them to put our couch in the living room. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate.

Woeful service – Happy to provide a quote and take my deposit before stipulating via email that there were specific weight requirements I would need to advise them of. Remove this Removalist! – Ezzy Removalists were contracted to provide a backload service from Canberra to Sydney on 12 Dec. comprised of 6m3 of furniture and boxes. They were called in the morning of the 12th to confirm collection and we were told that it was going ahead and that it should be between 11:00am and 7:00pm (a generous eight hours), and that the driver would contact us one (1) hour before arrival. My parents remained at the collection point until 6:30am on Tuesday 13 December when they left to travel interstate.

Apart from us contacting them there was no contact from the driver or the company on Monday 12th December at any point.

At 10:45am on Tuesday 13th December a driver contacted me saying he would be at the collection point in 15 minutes. I told him he was too late, and there was no-one there.

This morning (13th December) I tried to ring the company to arrange collection on Wednesday afternoon 14th December when my parents would be briefly back in Canberra. Initially Sally, who answered, apologised for the situation and said she would see what she could do. When I rang back later to find out what was going on I was connected to Rebecca, the so-called customer relations person. She was rude and abrupt and basically blamed me for not being there this morning. She made it abundantly clear that I should extend whatever ‘flexibility’ her organisation required. I dispute that I did not offer most generous flexibility and was brought to tears by the way I was handled by Rebecca.

If at all possible avoid this organisation. Their prices might be cheap but they do NOT deliver, they are disorganised and rude!
