Love our Falmec Milano 90 rangehood. It has been amazing with low noise and 1140m2 air extraction! Show reply
REGRETTABLE PURCHASE... The salesperson at Harvey Norman convinced us to buy the FALMEC Plane Black NRS canopy with a demonstration a NRS version in store. Having previously owned QASAIR and WHISPAIR range hoods, I can now confirm that the FALMEC range hood is absolute garbage in comparison. Following installation we were disappointed to note… Read more
that the internal motor causes significant vibration throughout the canopy which becomes increasingly audible as the fan speed increases. We reported the issue under warranty and had to follow-up twice to get a technician on site who also confirmed a vibration and that a repair or replacement would be arranged. Following another two weeks of silence from FALMEC, we had to again follow-up ourselves. It's now a month since the fault was first reported and 1 week out from Christmas, so can only assume we will be waiting another month in limbo before a repair which has held up the completion of our kitchen in the process ☹️.
In addition to the NRS canopy being significantly noisier than demonstrated in-store or compared to our previous WHISPAIR & QASAIR range-hoods, the suction is underwhelming. We mounted it 70cm above the cooktop which is 5cm lower than past installations and on the highest setting it still doesn't capture all steam & smoke.
In short, so far I come to the conclusion that FALMEC range hoods are certainly not a premium product and regret not buying another WHISPAIR. Frankly, I wish they'd just take its back so we can buy something that lives up to the salespersons hype.
I bought a Falmec Rangehood with a Noise Reduction System because I wanted the quietest one possible. The Rangehood that was delivered and installed was exactly the same Model Number as the one in the shop but was completely different. They have modified the NRS massively but kept the same model number which in my opinion is fraudulent. It is much… Read more
much louder than the one in the shop. In the end I got mine swapped for the one in the store. Beware - you may not be buying what is on display!
Falmec - steer clear of this brand – Our Falmec kitchen stovetop rangehood has broken down a few times and experienced leakages with heavy rain. It is only 2 years old and has been out of action for months because we are not getting a response from their customer service centre. We bought this product thinking it was high quality and have been very disappointed, primarily with the after sales support.

The Rangehood is Great but the Ducting is now Confetti ! – We purchased a premium Falmec Range Hood and for several years have been very happy with the unit as it was quiet and removed all cooking odors efficiently and then suddenly it stopped working two weeks ago. So as it was still under warranty we contacted Falmec to have this rectified and while waiting for their Service to eventually get back to… Read more
us we did a little more investigation. We found that the paper thin ducting had been turned to confetti by rats which had gained access via the external Motor Cowl. We now have to spend $200+ and a days cleanup and installation to replace and protect our house from further rodent intrusion. The outside Roof Exhaust Unit should have been properly protected with Rodent Mesh and with an appropriate thickness ducting instead of the useless minimal thickness ducting material supplied in the first place. After calling Falmec again and describing the mess we're left with all they offered was another length of the totally useless Ducting they supplied in the first place. Definitely not a product to put in again and suffer the same fate remembering that Rat urine is responsible for the spread of Leptospirosis, which can result in liver and kidney damage. It can also be contracted through handling or inhalation of scat (feces or urine). So our clean up is not without risk.
Great range hood with excellent extraction – Great range hood with excellent extraction. Installed with extraction outside, can be a little loud due to power but due to design can be attenuated easily. Show reply
Falmec Gruppo Incaso - Faulty and Noisy – Tried them all at Winnings, they were perfectly almost the quietest product there. Was installed by kitchen manufacturer, and it's the loudest thing i've ever heard. it only works on high, and doesn't seem to work or suck any fumes up at all. i have sent 2 emails via your website, and have had no replies at all from them. i hope to hear from them soon now that i've had to go down this path

Warning - Falmec Siena 900+ – WARNING - READ BEFORE PURCHASING A FALMEC SIENA 900+ I purchased the Falmec Siena 900+. Installation was centred over a SMEG induction cooktop at a height of 650mm and in 400mm deep cabinetry. Our benchtop is 650mm deep. I implore anyone buying this unit to consider your purchase as my experience with the product and the staff at Falmec has… Read more
been distressing to say the least, and I have been brought to tears on a number of occasions. The Falmec Siena DID NOT work satisfactorily when boiling a pot of water, for say pasta or boiled eggs. The steam ran up the face of the cabinetry within 60 seconds to the point of the cabinet doors being wet to the ceiling and the water dripping off the control panel of the rangehood. I contacted Falmec who sent a technician. The first technician advised that I needed deeper cabinetry to cover the surface of the cooking surface. Another 8cm deeper was recommended. This obviously is not practical as you would be bumping your head on overdeep cabinetry. I rang Falmec to advise that the unit was not ‘fit for purpose’ as it didn’t do the job intended, ie suction steam from the cooking surface, a reasonable expectation of a rangehood from a company that specialises in just rangehoods at a cost of nearly $2000. Falmec response was it functions properly it is a design issue however agreed to send another technician as I was so distressed. Their second technician, [Name Removed] from HiTech identified we had the wrong vent size and replaced the vent and ducting at a cost of $250. The unit was then tested, and same thing, steam up the front face of the cabinet doors and wet within 60 seconds. Later that day I spoke to Falmec’s technician [Name Removed] again to try and understand how this could happen. Is it my cabinets? Was I sold the wrong rangehood for an induction cooktop? He was incredibly rude to me and said I chose the wrong rangehood and to stop trying to point the finger at people. He added my cabinets should have been 700mm high, which is contrary to the email received from Falmec direct. In short, I chose a reputable longstanding high street kitchen company who has installed a beautiful kitchen, and more than meets the requirements of building code regarding position, height and depth of building code. I purchased from Winnings and asked about 3 different rangehoods I liked and at no point was told that a Falmec Siena would not function over an induction cooktop or that there were any special instructions for installation. The bottom line is that the Falmec Siena in my kitchen doesn’t copy with steam and would destroy my cabinets within weeks. I spoke to the Office of Fair Trading who said there were a number of factors relevant to me – price to quality relationship and the expectations of a $1900 product is reasonable that you would expect it to suction steam and that it would not run up the face of a cabinet. Secondly there was a question of fitness for purpose. Clearly not fit for the purpose of removing steam when cooking. Then the Office of Fair Trading suggested that there may also be deceptive and misleading conduct as when you purchase a product – which was purchased through Winnings, but results in a direct purchase from Falmec, that you should be provided with any specific installation instructions. My kitchen installers and myself checked the installation booklet which states 600mm min. height (and ours is 650mm height) and Falmec’s diagram in the installation booklet when looking at the scale of the diagram one would infer that the cabinet would be nearer a 330mm depth maximum size cabinet. I contacted Falmec a 3rd time over this as I am facing thousands of dollars in removing the Falmec, modifications to cabinetry then reinstallation costs for another rangehood. They stood firm in their view that their unit functions properly and in the email stated that it was a deisgn issue and that I needed to centre the unit over the cooking surface and have it a minimum of 600mm above the cooking surface. Both these points were met. I have subsequently found an alternative through Peter at Sydney Rangehood, and spoke with Tristan at Whispair who suggested a 900 Monte Carlo which extracts at a rate of 1690 cubic metres (as opposed to 950 cubic metres with the Falmec Siena) and Whispair provided me with a written guarantee if it didn’t work they would swap the unit out at their cost providing me with peace of mind. The Whispair DOES WORK. So no need to remove and raise cabinets, or rebuild and deepen wall cabinets as suggested by the Falmec technicians. The only error in design choice in my opinion was selecting the Falmec Siena. This mistake has cost me about $1500 to date, so I would suggest anyone considering a Falmec Siena to get in writing installation requirements as you will get no customer service post purchase. After receiving such conflicting feedback from Falmec and there being no clear instructions in the installation booklet, I contacted Falmec a 4th time requesting they provide detailed installation instructions so no other customer goes through what I have. I did not receive a reply to this request. Handbook limited in instructions as can be seen in screenshots.
same noise issue here – we were told by winning appliances that this is a good rangehood, Roma 90, external motor. All what they wanted was to get rid of their old stock. The noise is unbearable, partly because of the baffle filter. Never will I buy Falmec again.

Falmac- Poor service and poor product – We purchased Falmac 90cm external motor range hood upon checking the same installed at Winning appliances in Northmead, Sydney. First the delivery was delayed with no communication there by delaying usage of kitchen. Once installed and used, it keeps making a lot of noise and shuts itself off. When contacted for warranty, the service is poor and… Read more
they come up with a range of excuses.
1) external range hood motor is installed at 2m horizontally and 3.5m vertically from range hood matching the specifications required. Falmac say that it should be 4m horizontally when they have not mentioned that and had provided 6m duct along with product.
2) When the power to motor cuts off automatically, it needs to be shut off at the power point for min 20 minutes and try multiple times. Falmac say that power supply is not constant. I have a 3phase supply along with pool and none of the motors have this issues
3) Filter alarm stays on consistently that was checked by Sydney range hood technicians. they tried to shut the main power and still it did not reset. Falmac say this is not a p[problem.
4) i have shown the video of the machine making such loud noise and even Winning appliance salesman have compared against one installed at their showroom and told me that we have recewived a faulty product. Falmac say our product is not faulty.
We have lodged complaint with fair trading. Do not buy this produce. Their service is poor and from second time onwards, they make any excuse to not sort out the issue.

Falmec F9NV90s1 Nuvola 90 cm cassette – Great stuff. My husband is so fussy about electrical appliances and this is really amazing awesome stuff. Looks neat, not overpowering in the kitchen, works real good and quiet. Thanks Ranee Monaghan from Winning Appliances Narellan for all your help. Show reply
Falmec Latina 90cm works great but noisy outside – We use Qasair before renovation but found that it is very difficult to install in the new position. We are skeptical of the Falmec but found that it works as well or better than the Qasair. It is baffle design and has a reminder of cleaning the baffle. It works very well. Con The exhaust is very noisy outside (external motor). The max exhaust would drop to the next setting after a while. Pro A lot easier/flexible to install by the builder Show reply
