Brilliant Customer Service...!!!
I made an email enquiry to Fanco last night about their fans. First thing this morning I got a message that the fan I was after had been discontinued but gave me detailed options as to what my work well for me. The lady in question was Eleni who is obviously The Queen Bee of Sales and an absolute soopahstar in my firmament! This is old-fashioned customer service out of the the top drawer and many thanks to the Queen Bee...!!!
Worst best fans i have ever known.
These fans seem good on almost every way except the way they are mounted in there cradle is very poor design. I purchased 5 of these fan, installed by electrician and they were quiet for a day or 2. The main problem is the cradle they sit in to allow them in slanted roof, add the slightest vibration that is all but impossible to remove with counter weights and you get a horrible ticking sound. Add the circular metal hub that hides the cradle and power box that is too small and that creates ticking/rubbing sound. There are 3 issues
Very quiet fan, shame about the super bright light.
Fan arrived within 2 days. Installed by an electrician, seemed straight forward. Very quiet as advertised. We had a noising fan previously which kept us awake, so we were very happy so far. We agree that the light is too bright, so we try avoid using it. Should lose half a star for the brightness of the light

Fan arrived within 2 days of ordering. Very quiet on the lowest setting. Was invaluable during recent hot smoky conditions when evaporative cooling was not an option. Light very bright.
Very quiet not silent
I bought 4 fans but have only installed one in the bedroom so far. We have only run it all night once and found it to be very quiet on setting 1 with enough air movement to keep us comfortable all night . The fan is very stable with no noticeable movement on all speeds and the light is very bright especially in the middle of the night, it would be nice to have a dimmer function as well . I am very happy with both the purchase process and the product. I will update this review when all fans are installed and working

Excellent fan, just as advertised.
The fan was easily installed by my electrician. The fan is silent, really good air flow, easy to use remote and really bright light. The fan arrived within 2 business days after I purchased it on line, excellent service.
I purchased 7 fans, the purchasing process was simple and delivery was quick considering it was over the Xmas break. Only down point was that 4 (larger) fans were initially delivered, wasn’t until I made contact that I was informed that they were out of stock of the smaller fans which were no longer being manufactured. I selected an alternative which were subsequently delivered very quickly. All installed and work well. Very quiet and move a lot of air. Once I made contact communication was great and some money refunded quickly. Would happily recommend.

Works as well as we expected!!
The Eco Silent fans we purchased have been installed in our bed rooms and are indeed very quiet. The remote control functionality works well, I really like the reverse button. The bed rooms are standard double bed size and the fan moves the air easily on the 3 setting during the day and we only need 1 at night. The light in the fan is excellent and easily fills the room. It is perhaps a bit too bright when you turn the light on during the night, but, during the day its excellent. The fan did not need the balancing kit that came with it, there was no rocking or rolling once it was installed and tested.
Fanco Eco Not Silent At All
We bought 6 Fanco Eco Silent DC fans based on extensive research reading reviews on this site and others one year ago. The ordering process went smooth enough from Fanco but when one fan arrived broken it took 3 months to get a replacement resolved. Fanco refused to take ownership of the problem and passed me on to Beacon Lighting who actually produce/import these fans. It was a complete run around for a few months but after constant prompting to both parties and a conversation with Beacon Lighting state manager the warranty was finally hono...ured. The problem wasn't just the broken fan on arrival but 3 of the remaining 5 fans installed were all noisy - either grinding sound from motor or wobbly with subsequent rocking. Three were replaced in total. 12 months later and I can report they all are quite noisy at various settings. I find the lowest fan setting which we use at night and the time when you want the fan to be quietest is actually when its noisiest. There's one rattling above my head right now as I type this. I do question the quality control and components used. My other comment to be wary of is, the amount of air actually circulated by these fans is not great. I ordered the correct size fans for the appropriate room size, but they struggle to effectively move air. Would I get them again? NO. Would I order through Fanco again? NO. Would I purchase through Beacon Lighting? NO. However I'm not sure if any of the other electrical companies would be any better. It's just a consequence of products being mass produced cheaply overseas so that products can be sold here more cheaply in Australia. At least they're all still spinning
Excellent fan and excellent service
Excellent fan and excellent service by Brilliant Lighting. We had 2 fans installed, the Eco Silent ones. On installation one was perfect and the other was noisy and had a wobble. The after sales service by Brilliant was fantastic, great communication and very prompt service and turnaround to replacing the fan. Very happy customer!
Eco silent ceiling fan
A great choice for a second bedroom - cant believe how quiet it is and the choice of settings allows a gentle air movement without it being too cold - as is the case with other fans I have experienced in bedrooms at night!

Great operation but light too bright
This fan works well from the remote and is quiet as advertised. However the light is retina-burning bright, waayyy too much for a bedroom with an 8' ceiling IMHO. We can't do anything about that, so bedside lamps are the preference. Next purchase (another bedroom) will be dimmable light with warm light.
We are very happy with our Eco Silent fan. It is quiet and has just the air movement settings we require. We like the look of the fan, it is modern and sleek.
The purchase of the fan was hassle free and delivery was prompt.
Had electrician install fan but unable to fix the wobble due to faulty machining. Too much hassle to take it down and send back , and no guarrantee next wouldn’t have the same problem. Also got another brand and had installed with no wobble .

Great small DC Fan for smaller room
The fan is stylish, low profile, quiet and efficient. I am very happy with it after searching for a 48 inch DC fan. I am happy it’s stability and it’s power and air movement. I got the one without the LED light.

Are you able to replace the light globe manually or is it a sealed system

Hi Leigh, Noel is right - the LED light in the Eco Silent is integrated into the fan and can't be swapped out like an E27 globe or B22 globe can. Keep in mind though, LED lights have a much longer life expectancy than traditional globes, and the Eco Silent's light is covered by its own 12 month warranty. Otherwise, we have a couple of options in our range with light fittings which are easier to replace. The closest match would be the AC version of the Urban 2 - available with an E27 fitting. For something completely different, you could look at the Origin. Its light kit is available separately and can be added to the fan after installation, so you could buy a replacement light kit and swap it over if necessary. Hi, I notice there is feedback regarding poor installation instructions. You say you are looking into updating this. As I don't want to hire an electrician to install 4 ceiling fans that is going to be fiddly and take extra time (more costs to me), have you updated the instructions so that it is easier and simple for installers to follow, as I'm sure no one wants to be sitting on the phone asking questions, and if they have not yet been updated can you please advise when will this be done?

I'm not sure if you're asking specifically about the Eco Silent or our fans in general, because I could only find one Eco Silent review which mentions that the instructions could be improved. Each of our models has comes with its own specific instructions and we have made several updates to each of them based on feedback over the years. By our judgement, they're clear and easy to read, but of course were quite familiar with our fans! Thanks for your quick reply, and yes I was looking at your fans in general. I guess you can say I'm finding it hard having to replace all 4 of my fans that are working very slowly and only 3 years old (and have done this 3 times in 10yrs) including a hunter pacific that only works on winter mode after 5yrs (I live in Qld). I find the warranties with all companies are useless due to the run around with service departments and the cost to have an electrician point out the problems. I think its sad that it comes down to pot luck that you get a fan that will last. considering the cost and labour involved. I guess China and technology hasn't changed with fans. It would be nice to find a fan that will outdo its warranty period for more years to come rather than the 1-3yrs
