tighten the screws it's still squeaky. The head board is flimsy and you can not lean on it.

I contacted Customer Service, sent a video, explained the back pain. Advised I changed the frame to a different base and I no longer have back pain.

The Head Office response: "Unfortunately the warranty was unsuccessful, Step 12 and step 14 on the instruction ( photo attached ) the areas affected just needed tightening. The video shows proof of being loose. If you can rebuild the bed and tighten the areas to be tight and send more videos we can look into in the future. Sorry there is nothing more I can do on the matter other than look at new evidence."

I have emailed back with some reviews and the health concern.

The response was unsatisfactory, no concern for my back issues, just wanted more photos of the squeaky bed!!

I purchased mine around 6 months ago. I agree it has some issues, my main concern is the flimsy bedhead. It is very annoying as I like to setup to read etc. Some mild squeaking but to date it's not that bad. Love my slimboys though they draws do standout a little. Cheap furniture alright! – We bought the Havana bed suite (double bed/side dresser/chest of draws) and it is so cheap i would not recommend buying this! The bed has a wood outline to it so you always knock your shins on it especially my toddler who jumps up onto the bed. The draws have also broken and come off the wheels etc. I'll be making some good fire wood out of it when we upgrade! Show details

Won’t be buying – Well unfortunately after reading all these reviews, I’m glad I came across this as was only good things on the other site. I won’t be buying this bed. Not worth it if it’s only going to make noise and break don’t want to take my chances

has so many pieces and nuts and bolts and screws, I have a nice looking CREAKY bed. No matter how much I tighten the incredibly difficult to reach screws, it still creaks. All you have to do, is just slightly lean against it and it creaks! I cannot tightness it up any more!

A really nice looking creaky bed that took an entire afternoon to piece together. Deep regret.

The purchase and service process however was simple, easy and quick.

find it strange that the reviews in fantastic furniture’s website don’t mention this problem!

After a month of sleeping on the most creaky bed of all time, we ended up buying a Zinus metal bed base online. My husband removed the slats and middle supports and the metal base fit perfectly within the bed frame, which is now basically just a box to house the new base! It also has raised the mattress up a bit, which I think looks better too. And… not one creak!

We got the whole Havana bedroom suite on sale and it is a cheap set, so we aren’t completely shocked that the quality wasn’t amazing. But I’m glad we now finally have a solution!

Havanna queen bedroom frame – Very squeaky tried everything wd40 tightening screws and bolts nothing worked then I found a solution by removing the slats and putting a bed base under mattress finally a goodnight night sleep absolutely no squeaking at all and now so happily dreaming please share with others having this problem would like to help them

Oh so squeaky! – I’ve had the bed frame for just over a month now & it’s oh so noisy. I’ve tried tightening the many nuts & bolts that hold the bed together & also tried spraying lubricant on it but it’s still so squeaky. I feel like it could break at any moment. No chance of any quiet shenanigans happening on this bed I’m sure the neighbours would definitely hear it!!

the bed slump in the middle. The plastic things that hold them in place seem to just snap eventually and its just a repeating cycle of fix..break...fix...break. You need to buy new ones and replace the wood. I've now just got random boxes underneath to stop them falling out again. The head board thing has come apart from the top of the frame and now when we move around whilst sitting up, it clamps down on your hair and rips it out which sucks. it's also cracked down the middle. It's not visible but still annoying.

The plain wood on the back is obviously preference. I'd recommend something with padding if you have the choice as it hurts your neck when watching movies.

On the bright side, it's cheap. If you can fix things easy and have a low budget, get it. If you have a bit more of a budget definitely look around for a more sturdy frame. If you do purchase it, I've just seen that you can get separate drawers for this model to go underneath. Haven't got any but would be handy if you haven't seen them.

2/10 recommend.

floor. The slats are an ill-fit and have a tendency to fall out of the plastic (flimsy) brackets, causing the mattress to fall through. One of them had broken completely, others have split for the most part. Most of this occurred in the first 6 months, and it takes constantly rescrewing at angles and realigning the slats to make it usable. About to move and it’s not coming with me.

Just set the bed up... Wow is all I can say about the cheap quality – So I received the bed today, just set it up, and I'm honestly shocked at how cheaply made this bed is. For anyone reading the comments, believe all the reviews. I saw all the reviews right after ordering, I was concerned, I just hoped that my experience may be different. I'm yet to use it so I'm also hoping my little weight may keep away any creaks, cracks or breaks as is common in others experiences. Guess time will tell of how bad things gets, doesn't look good so far though.

Squeaky even with the slightest movement – After being OK for a couple of months, the bed started squeaking, and it progressively got worse and worse up to a point where even the slightest movement causes squeaking. tried to straighten the legs again and tighten the bolts but nothing seems to work. It was not cheap either :( The bed is just so squeaky and support legs are not supportive at all!

Rip offff – I’m a uni student and cannot afford to throw away $300 on a bed that is the worst in the first 2 months. first few nights but slowly the bed has started to squeak. It will squeak with the slightest movement, like making the bed or putting on a fitted sheet. The squeaking is unbearable and has forced me to buy another bed. Something you should not have to do after 6 months. I have tried to tighten up the bolts and have tried the trusty WD-40 but nothing seems to work. This is a terrible bed which seems to be flimsy and cheaply made.
