Buyer beware – My order was placed November 19th 2018..I am still waiting for the paint by number to show up..Was given a tracking number after 6 weeks...my picture is in China I guess?? I can't seem to get any updates from tracking number..I been emailing customer service, sent another email..it is now 15weeks...still no package and or response...
Disappointed with the product – I'm quite disappointed with this product. The packaging is poor: Just 2 plastic sachets inside a bubble wrap envelope, with zero explanatory material with the cake nozzles (I would have at least expected a recommended icing recipe and possibly some assembly instructions; sure I can manage on my own but this packaging seems just so cheap and… Read more
basic to me).
The nozzles themselves are quite large and I'm not sure how effective they are going to be for fine decorating purposes because the patterns seem quite cheaply stamped out of the nozzles, but I haven't tested them yet.
Delivery time was fine: they announced 3-5 weeks. I ordered on January 4 and received January 21.
For the price I paid (20 USD) I'm not really sure that I've got value for money here and I don't think I would reorder again from this site.
Slick marketing, with a not so slick product behind it.
Cheap products, badly packaged. Don't fall for the hype – Ordered 3 of the star projectors. They actually showed up within a decent time but terribly packed in a thin poly post satchel, inside a loose unsealed bubble wrap layer. Two of the three boxes were burst open and the third dented. On top of that the products themselves aren't anything like expected. Inflated prices along with some sneaky baiting marketing and misleading stock counters on their website. I fell for it. Don't do the same.
A con – I ordered some very expensive cake decorating nozzles and waited 9 weeks for delivery. At the 6 week mark I asked for a refund as the event I ordered them for had been and gone. I was told via email that the website gave a 3-5 week delivery warning and they were on their way. I tried to obtain a refund numerous times in numerous ways to no avail.… Read more
In the end they arrived and were poor quality - they were not even packaged properly. Don't buy from this expensive, terrible business.
Shoddy cheap yet over-priced products – Products are of cheap quality and fall apart easily. Clearly mass-exported from China. The Magellan night sky projector that set me back 60 AUD is available on eBay for AUD 10.55!!! Be warned - you do NOT get what you pay for!
Don't waste your time and money with this company – Ordered a toy which never arrived and despite getting in touch with company was continuously told to be patient and that the postage was held up. I never received the goods nor was my money refunded. Today (8/01/18) this company sent me an email wishing me a happy new year and offering 40% off as I have been such a good customer? Yes, they… Read more
can get in touch when they think it will be advantageous to them but contacting customers about their orders or rectifying orders that never arrive is too much trouble for them.
Truly terrible customer service after misleading advertising – Placed an order for a star projector and it was clear that it would take 3-5 weeks to get to me. Fine. Then, after a couple of weeks, I still hadn't been told that it had been sent, so I sent them an email - they don't provide a phone number presumedly for reasons that'll soon be clear to you. The email I sent acknowledged the 3-5 weeks but… Read more
asked for despatch date. [name removed] response proved they don't read your emails and just said that she hoped I saw the warnings about it being 3-5 weeks on their site. I replied asking for clarity and all I could get were smarmy little one liner copy and paste jobs that blatantly refused to answer my question about despatch date, instead offering an answer along the lines of we'll get to it when we can be bothered.
I then saw all the library of negative reviews and this mixed with the disgusting customer service, I decided to cancel.
In [name removed] defence - her abhorrent customer service skills aside, she does reply promptly and did organise refund when I requested the cancellation. (Later, after I called my bank to confirm receipt of refund, I noticed that even though I was seeing items charged in AUD, she charged me the same amount in USD. Had I not asked for a refund, I'd've paid $51,75 after agreeing to pay $38,70 for something worth around $7,00. Lucky I had such a negative experience.)
If only they had advertised TRUE timeframes and weren't such a strop in their emails, they may have actually kept me as a customer.
Highly inflated prices, non-existent service, don't get sucked in – The Faraday Science Shop has a slick website which sells many cool "sciency" items and gadgets. They offer free delivery on many items, which take 4-5 weeks to arrive. My experience has been there is absolutely no after sales service if you have a query or would like to return an item. Now, nearly every item that is sold on this website is also… Read more
available at 20%-40% of the price or less on Ali Express (aliexpress.com). For example, a pack of gold foil playing cards (with certificate) retails on the site for AUD$123.34, but is "on special" for AUD$31.13 (https://faradayscienceshop.com/products/24k-gold-foil-playing-cards-with-certificate-pre-order). The SAME cards are available on Ali Express (http://bit.ly/2fhCxZJ - had to shorten the URL) for US$7.50 delivered in 4-5 weeks (hmmm, same time as Faraday....).
The street address listed is a private apartment which is also home to other online businesses such as www.sugarandcotton.com which sells UnicHorn makeup brushes (registered at the same address). Trust Pilot give sugarandcotton a single star rating https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sugarandcotton.com, as well as faradayscienceshop.com a single star https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.faradayscienceshop.com.
For this review when I looked up the Gold playing cards, there "only 7 left in stock" and under 50 minutes left to buy at this incredible (inflated) price, which coincidentally was what sugarandcotton.com said exactly about the UnicHorn makeup brushes. The reviews overall elsewhere are very negative. Suggestion to you is to stay away from them.
