This is good product – Although, 2nd year, milk & egg were frozen after moved home. The fridge was under warranty within 3 years. After fixed, using until now. I can't believe it is 16 years old. Inside design is smart temperature and good storage. Outside is so slim and smart out look. That moment, bottom mount wasn't popular. Not much choice. F & P have done a good… Read more

Great buy – Perfect sized fridge for a small family. Various compartments makes squeezing any item with ease with plenty of space to spare. Temperature is consistent throughout freezer though do find top compartment in fridge to be coldest and sometimes freezes items so have fridge temperature on lowest setting but still very good cooling through lower… Read more

compartments.

Quiet, and efficient in energy consumption.

Easily cleaned as all compartments and parts are removable.

Glass shelves are of great quality.

Be very cautious of the service offered – While i hve generally been happy with my fridge i recently had a very bad experience with an F& P service call. The fridge was working and cooling well but the sensor alarm kept going off. The chap they sent was arrogant and very rough wit how he handled the fridge. As aresult not the fridge component of the unit completley stopped working… Read more

within a few hours of him completing the call at a cost of $13.. the serviceman gleefully told me the fridge was too old to repair. So now i am having to purchaes A new fridge much sooner than planned. It definitley will not be a fisher & paykel as a neighboutr told me she have a similar very poor experience with a washing machine - may have been the same service ma.. Doubt i would buy a Fisher & paykel afterthat experience as it cost me e service call and the urgent purchase of a small bar fridge to ensure food did not have to be thrown out

Quiet and roomy – Had the fridge for 4 weeks. VERY happy. No noise. was concerned about this as lots of reviews complain about it....mine is totally quiet. Lots of shelf space. Spacious crispers keep veges fresh. The freezer drawers are large. make sure you push doors closed properly. Serial number is on side panel at back, low down, so make sure you record this b4… Read more

the fridge is pushed into place. You need it for the warranty. So far I love my fridge. shelf layout and spacious. freezer below. very quiet. the handle should be a bit higher as the space in the toppart of the handle is a bit narrow.

Never really been happy with it – E442B: now 8 years old. has always been sporadically noisy as thermostat adjusts and makes sounds as if ice is dropping within.when set on recommended temp for cold foods, leafy vegies and fruit freeze. cracks appeared in shelves not long after purchase and have finally broken so cannot be repaired again. will use this fridge till it gives up the ghost and will buy replacement shelves. Wouldn't buy another FP product.

Good Fridge – We bought the fridge a year ago and we were looking for a reliable fridge that would fit in the space we have, one that would cater well for our family. Our previous fridge was a Samsung and we had no end problems with it's cheap plastic bins, shelves that snapped in half & the fact that the fridge froze everything in the lower back third of the… Read more

entire fridge. so glad to have a fridge without those problems. Roomy, strong & durable, and even temperature through fridge. Bought it expecting chilled water from dispenser - paid plumber $600 to instal it and then find out it only dispenses 'coolish' water not much different to tap water, the only feature being that it's filtered. You have a fridge you expect chilled water, this was not explained to us at all plus I rang the store twice ot get the manual never received it.

reasonable fridge – bought february 2011 for $1370. has been working well so far. have noticed a decrease in electricity bill. former fridge was a f&p 514 litre which lasted 15 years before getting ice build up. Nice looker in white it makes noises like someone with a digestive problem but are not too intrusive.vegies don't seem to last long in the crispers - there… Read more

are humidity control slides to help. freezer is good with sliding drawers. we watch what we buy now because big items or leftovers do not fit in the freezer but there is lots of room for smaller stuff.a family would need more space but its good for the 2 of us. compact, nice design, no wasted space, sturdy shelving egg holders only hold 10 eggs so have 2 over.

Bad – Absolute rubbish! Don't ever buy one. They are over priced and will give you grief. Very dissappointed with this product and feel a little cheated as it was so expensive. Lovely to look at. Nice setup inside. Wipe it down with water and cloth. Very easy to clean. Almost everything!!!! Apart from the above. It has been nothing but trouble. The… Read more

door was too hard to open when we received it and I couldn't get anyone out to fix it. The kids couldn't open it at all. Then one day I opened it with the usual heave-ho and something plastic broke off the door and went flying across the room. Unfixable! We have had it for three years and occassionally it beeps, even waking us up in the night. But it wasn't happening all the time so we couldn't pin point anything, just thinking that the door had come unstuck. Now it doesn't stop beeping and we have resorted to turning it off and using our wine fridge. Hopefully the service man will not take too long to get to us!

Excellent – We have had this fridge freezer for almost 3 years and it has worked perfectly - no temperature issues, no loud buzzing, no breakdowns. Would recommend this fridge based on our experience. I particularly like the layout of the fridge, and of course it is much more convenient having the freezer on the bottom. Great machine. Good sized fridge… Read more

freezer. Attractive design - looks great in a modern kitchen. Like the transparent tubs in the freezer, I really prefer these to the wire shelves in other fridges as it stops mess spreading throughout the freezer. Beeps when you leave it open to remind you to close the door. We have not had any problems with it beeping constantly like previous reviewers have complained about. Other great features include the egg holders, wine rack and ice drawer. Easy to clean. Nil to date.

Good – I have found this to be an excellent fridge. One of the best features is that it beeps when you leave a door of the fridge or freezer open so you know to go back and close it. I also like the wine rack that it comes with, and it has egg compartments to fit 20 eggs. I am happy with this model. My fridge was bought three years ago, and I’ve had no… Read more

problems with it. Has the fridge up top, which is where you access it most, and the freezer lower down. This means you don’t need to bend down to get to what it usually in the bottom of a fridge (eg. fruit and vegetable compartments). I have had no problems with this model

Love this fridge! – Bought a F&P E442BRXFDU in Nov 2010 from TGG's for $1,889 which was a bit expensive but the dimensions suited our built-in space. Requirement was also for a fridge with cold water and ice so the choice of brands was very limited. Love the fact that you don't need to bend over for access to most items. Freezer is accessed less frequently than main… Read more

compartment and has drawers for easier access.

Very quiet fridge except for occasional noises from the ice maker. This is not an issue as it is just so nice to have heaps of ice on hand. F&P even supply a small ice scoop. Cold water from the front door is fabulous. Water filter was plumbed outside house rather than in adjacent cupboard for easier access. Quiet operation, easy access to main compartment, plenty of ice and cold water, square lines and stainless steel appearance. Door panels are easily dented. Finger prints on SS was an issue until we discovered cleaning wipes for SS appliances which work a treat.

Bad – Sold as Stainless Steel "look" Paid as if Stainless Steel, got it home and it is aluminium and so soft any slight bump and it dented, Wife went totally nuts over the finger prints overall not a good experience as with other F and P products I have purchased Looks nice, upside down design is good, adjustable shelving good. Terrible – Disgraceful. A bloody expensive product that instead of surprising a delighting ends up disappointing and frustrating. youre too scared to open the fridge in case it starts the buzzing noise looks nice be prepared for the buzzing. be prepared to sit around waiting for a repairman to come fix your brand new fridge !!!

Terrible – If this was a sub $1000 fridge (E$$2B), then I wouldn't be expecting too much, but for over $1500 (I think that what I paid a year ago) then it's really rubbish. I've had F&P laundry products before and as an engineer have taken them apart at the end of their useful life. Was quite impressed by what I saw. The fridges however are lemons.… Read more

Customer support seemed to be trained very well in calming down irate callers and fobbing off it's faults as "that's the way it is with modern fridges".

Overall...Rubbish Get your act together F&P - you can do better Well designed for space use. Easy Access. Looks good. Noisy. Very noisy. Whirring fans, gurgling noises, loud electrical motors starting and stopping. Really annoying

Thermostat seems to do nothing. Set it to either extreme, the fridge temp stays the same.

Excellent – The fridge has survived two moves and a renovation and done everything well. We haven't had a fault in two years and have recommended to others who have bought one and are equally happy. Excellent – We've had this for around six months and not had a problem. We love the fridge and F&P customer support has actually been more than helpful. We'd purchased a factory second with a few scratches for $850. The water filtration kit was not included with our purchase and F&P were more than happy to send one out for free. It looks great, our food… Read more

is keeping really well and we love the water and ice functionality at the price we paid. Ours runs whisper quiet and all works as it should so we're extremely happy with our purchase for the price we paid. Well thought out design, manage to fit a lot in for a fridge of this capacity. Looks great and keeps food fresh. Nothing yet.

Terrible – Frankly, Fisher & Paykel need their a$$es kicked. Customer service is a joke; absolutely rude and inefficient. Their staff are very well trained in passing the buck and that's about all. Very functional and well-designed. An absolute lemon. The noise was unbearable from day one - enough to wake us in the night!. Given the royal runaround by Fisher… Read more

Terrible – I purchased a Fisher and Paykel Iridium E442BLM before the warranty period expired the plastic coating on the door started to peel away, Fisher and Paykel agreed to replace the door. peeling off.I was told the cause was enviromental and it must have been something I used to clean the fridge I stated I followed the instructions and only used warm water. They then said it must have been something on my hands etc. that caused the problem.I stated to them that I had paid a lot of money for this so called "new technology fridge" and should not have to worry about anything that may be on my hands,I was told they would fully investigate the problem and report back to me.I then received a letter to say that as the had replaced 3 doors(in fact it was 2)they were not prepared to replace another door and that was end of the matter. Buyers beware this product is absolute rubbish not only have I got a fridge with the plastic coating peeling of it, I have also had trouble with the thermostat. I asked for this case to be taken to a higher level and I have not heard anymore from them. I will not buy any Fisher Paykel products again because of the way this has been handled and I would not recomend the so called Iridium finish to anyone Jen12 None that I can see

Excellent – We bought this F&P fridge because 3 other people we know have the same fridge and haven't had any problems with it. person family, maybe for a 4 but I think any more and you might need a bigger fridge. Was a bit unsure about getting a bottom mount fridge but now that we have, I would not go back to a top mount! With the fridge being at the top, things are now at a height where we don't have to bend down like our fruits & vegs and drinks.

Like the glass shelves, the wine rack, the easy to pull out plastic baskets. Love the freezer design where it has 2 smaller plastic baskets at the top, an ice tray in the middle shelf and a bigger plastic basket at the bottom. This means people like me who love organising can separate things out in the freezer to prevent unnecessary smells! I put ice-cream and desserts in the top left basket, frozen foods like vegetables and chips in the top right basket and all meats in the bottom basket.

I also love how sleek it looks! Even though it is a true stainless steel (not those painted silver surfaces), it is still easy to clean. All you need is an old dry t-shirt and all marks wipe right off! Nothing so far but we have only had it for a week! We purchased a 5yr warranty which is well worth it in my opinion since our previous fridge broke down 3 times after 2yrs!

Excellent – I have to say I am extremely pleased with my purchase from day one. be searching for a new one.

Taken into account that I have relocated with this fridge around 6 times and there are still no strange noises/faults/flaws I would definitely buy fisher & Paykel again without hesitation. I have purchased other F&P items and again, never had any issues. Design, Practicality, Features From my experience, trying to find spare parts after breaking one of the vegetable bins seems endless as nobody knows what you are talking about.

Excellent – We've had this fridge for about 2 years, and has been great, has sufficient storage space, looks great in the kitchen, in fact the upside down feature is great, where the main fridge is at the top, makes it harder for our toddlers to reach for goodies. I'd definately recommend this fridge. The sleek, modern look was appealling, the size sufficient for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids.

Excellent – The house we moved into had this fridge built into the kitchen, so we had no choice but to use it! It's fantastic and has plenty of space in both fridge and freezer, including 2 large fruit and vegetable containers. Excellent – Had the fridge for 3 months now and our experience has been fantasic. Excellent internal layout, everything gets in there, and its great to have the upside down style finally. looks and feels cheap. Always wanted this fridge for its external design, definitely the iPod of refrigeration with it's simple, yet bold cube design, makes any kitchen look brilliant, tasteful and modern. I realized yesterday that we had never cleaned the outside of the fridge, with the iridium finish it always looks fresh and clean and shows up no finger marks whatsoever. If theres any negatives to say, it'd be the door alarm - gets a bit much when packing the fridge after a weekly shop. I also had some problems adjusting the feet to stop the door from slowly swinging out when opened but eventually got it correct. It would also make funny noises when not correctly level. But all in all, everything is great!

I would highly recommend this fridge. Aesthetic supremacy

Iridium finish

Layout if anything, door alarm can get slightly annoying
