The worst dryer ever – I bought the 9kg dryer and it was the worst dryer ever , it actually wouldn’t dry my clothes, it also broke down after a week of use so after a lot of back and fourth they sent me a new one and the heat pump wouldn’t heat up

Zero stars - worst dryer ever – Purchased this dryer in April 2019 when moving into our own home. Was not working properly from the start, but due to us not owning a dryer before (just using different rental ones), we had no idea that drying a few shirts shouldn't take 2-3 hours. For almost two years, we were only drying a few shirts at once (one load of washing divided into 4-5… Read more

drying rounds) as otherwise the clothes needed around 4 hours to dry. Only after the lint stopped going into the filter and it started smelling of burnt, did we realise there's definitely something wrong. Can't complain over the service guys, super nice guys, but after 4 months of repairs, the dryer still hasn't been fixed. The servicemen are recommending a replacement. For the time being (as dryer still under warranty), they replaced it with DE50F56E1 model (which, BTW, doesn't have many stars either), and we got a shock of a lifetime when the whole load of washing was dry in half hour. Reflecting back, it really hurts knowing how much power was spent to dry the clothes in the shi&&^&%est dryer ever! Stay away, I wouldn't trust new models either. And yes, as other reviews stated - you cannot dry sheets or covers, goes into a ball after a few minutes. Seriously avoid!

Failed just outside warranty – I bought a Fisher and Paykel De7060G1 dryer, 2.5 years ago and guess what, the power module has failed just outside the warranty period. $180 to replace it. Disappointing poor quality. I Wouldn't touch this brand again.  Show details

Love this dryer – I bought a Fisher & Paykel DE7060G2 7kg dryer 6 weeks ago and it's fantastic. It has a great Auto function that works out how much is in there and how long it takes to dry. This means you don't have the dryer on as long as you normally would if you were guessing how long tio put it on for. It also has a delicate function which allowed me to dry a down sleeping bag in it without damaging it. So far, so good. Highly recommend. Show details

This is good~ – The washer is not loud, wash fast and clean. It's gentle to my clothes. There is a range of features and controls to play with. Make life easier, more efficient. Love it!

An awesome dryer - 5 stars – This dryer is fantastic and does a great job. Very happy with purchase. This machine is light years ahead of the old dryer we had. It has an Auto feature, which senses when your clothes are dry, it rotates back and forth so your clothes don't ball up, it switches between hot and cool air to dry more efficiently and stop your clothes wrinkling,… Read more

and it has a shoe rack so that you can wash and dry your gym shoes without them clanking around. etc etc. It's great! I actually borrowed a friends expensive Bosch Heat Pump dryer prior to purchasing this Fisher & Paykel Vented dryer, and this cheaper dryer was 1/3rd of the price but does a much, much better job at drying clothes - which is important in winter. It easily dries most loads, with the touch of a button, in about 1 hr, perfect.

Really poor service and product manufacture defect revealed in month 15 of usage – I purchased this dryer in 2019 and was happily using it until a warranty service repair was required. Thankfully there is a 24 month warranty to cover the fault, however my experience with the service team has been really, really poor. I booked a service for the next day, scheduled for between 7.00am to 11.59am. The next day I looked at the… Read more

estimated time of arrival and discovered this was scheduled for 11.30am to 12.30pm! Unfortunately for me, this is one of my fairly rare days off work and I am still sitting here at home waiting for the technician to arrive. I had also set up a load of washing to replicate the defect and this has been sitting in the laundry whilst I have been waiting. The time is 1.38pm. I had called earlier at 12.25pm and asked for an update and their "internal team" indicated that the technician was "running 25-30 minutes late". Clearly now at 1.38pm this was a poor estimate and I remain sitting here at home and on my day off waiting for the technician to arrive.

I am currently on the phone to the service team and I have been put on hold whilst the "technical team" figure out where exactly their technician is and the status.

I have been really frustrated with their level of service and feel disappointed in the team. I had set aside 5 hours of my morning to get the defect corrected. This has now increased to close to at least 7 hours, with no prospect of service. This warranty feels like a "no-warranty" with their next available service date more than 7 days away.

Aside from their really, really poor service the product works. I'd rate it as a below average score - it doesn't do very well on large and bulky items. Drying things on an extra dry and low setting still produces damp clothes. Not helpful for anybody who has children.

At 1.48pm I have received the update that "the technician did not realise he had to attend my appointment today" and in effect missed it. The technician said "s/he would try and fit it in at the end of the day" but still no commitment to get the work done.

Very disappointed.

Absolutely hate it – Can’t stand it. Won’t dry sheets, doona or towels properly without them constantly going into ball. Does this after about 5 minutes. Even bought dryer balls to see if this would help but nope. So frustrating and annoyed and wish I could get a refund! Have serious buyers regret :( Show details

Fisher and Paykel products now Chinese owned. Quality and service have gone – Fisher and Paykel are now owned by Haier China and the service is appalling. I tried to contact the service department and was told by robot-voice the average wait time to speak to someone was 1.5 HOURS! The call center is India based and service is non-existent. F&P never again. Show details

Great dryer but needs improvements – Quiet, efficient and dries well. I have put everything from delicates to jumpers to bedsheets, and it’s a saver in winter. But, it produces too much condensation and lint, leaving the laundry covered in dust and the walls wet. The lint is also difficult to remove from the bottom of the lint holder. Improvements of these 2 issues and the dryer would be near perfect. Show details

Easy to use dryer – I normally use this for shirts and undies which are pretty light clothing. During winter though, I used this to dry linens, bed sheets and doona. I'm satisfied with the AUTO setting in which this is the only setting I use. I haven't tried to play around with the settings yet. I can't personally say anything about delicates. and very handy when you have kids that wear white shoes and wash them a few times. Although it would be great to get a spare hook as we have lost ours and can’t seem to find a replacement. So simple and straight forward to use and very quiet which is great with our sensory sensitive toddler. Strong and sterdy door and lint basket too which is great when your kids like to help out. I love this product so much that Im keen to give their washing machine a try. Cannot recommend this enough it’s great. We’ve had it 1 1/2 yrs and no issues.

Awesome dryer - creates lots of condensation though – This is an awesome dryer. Pros: - Dries quickly - has no issues with larger more wet items - is quiet and takes in a lot of clothes Cons: - Creates A LOT of moisture in the air, so make sure you have really good ventilation - Otherwise everything will be dripping with water condensation - Smaller items can fall into the lint trap Show details

Complete dud, 8 weeks later still no drier – After having a F and P that worked beautifully for 10 years we replaced it with this model. It was fine for about 2 weeks (3 or 4 small loads) and then the fan came loose making a horrendous and terrifying noise. I contacted customer service and had to wait 2 weeks for service (metropolitan Sydney!). The technicians assured me it was a minor fix… Read more

and I’d have no more trouble. A few days later it rained and I used the drier, it lasted ten minutes before the fan came loose again. I have reported it again (24 hours ago) and was told I’d be contacted with another service date. Still waiting for that. I assume it will be another 2 week wait. What I want is a new machine that actually works, like I paid for. Instead I am trying to dry 5 peoples laundry inside due to the rain. Terrible terrible service.

Does the job – I use this machine sporadically when I cant air dry and have had no issues so far. Typically use with heavier items such as towels and sheets and takes about an hour to dry fully. It seems gentle and have no wear and tear. It's a quiet machine, we have it running near our entertainment unit and havent found it bothersome. Show details

Affordable and works well – Easy to use vented dryer. The only thing I don't like about this dryer is you cannot just put a timer on. It like to use its pre set settings. But I just set a timer on my phone to remind me to turn it off if I only want it on for 10 mins or so. I bought the matching washing machine also, so my laundry looks good as well as functions well. Show details

Love our dryer – This dryer works on it's own once you set it. It sensors the clothes moisture and runs until the clothes are dry which conserves power. It has several different settings which are easy to interpret. The lint filter is easily accessible, with ease of cleaning. I would definately recommend this product.  Show details
