DO NOT BUY!!! We have had this dishwasher for just under 4 years and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Just after 2 years (right as warranty ended) surprise, surprise the dishwasher was not draining and throwing error codes at us. It flooded our kitchen. We booked a service and someone came to fix it. As it was only 1-2 months out of warranty… Read more
the person on the phone said that it would be covered for us. It turns out that a part was broken (pretty sure it was the pump) and it was fixed under warranty. Within 1.5 years we are having the exact same problem. Customer service have not been willing to help us and have told us that we will need to pay for a service person to come out and the pay for the possible new part. We have done everything they have suggested and it is still not draining from time to time (could be cycle after cycle or be fine for 10 cycles and then not drain again). We are so disappointed with the service and product as we should not have to buy an appliance after 4 years to replace an expensive appliance.
This dishwasher is an absolute disaster. There are so many faults, I could write 6,000 words and still not cover them all. I moved into my new apartment in Canberra, excited to settle in, only to discover within a week that this appliance was leaking, skipping cycles, or refusing to start altogether. When I reached out to Fisher & Paykel, I was… Read more
stunned to be told that they had nothing to do with it and that I should contact the builder. The builder, in turn, refused to honour the warranty because the three-month defect period had expired—despite the fact that the issue surfaced almost immediately after I moved in. Now I’m stuck with an expensive metal box that does absolutely nothing it was designed to do. It’s not just the product that’s flawed—it’s the entire customer experience. The lack of accountability and support from both the manufacturer and the builder is appalling. My advice: Steer clear of products—and companies—that show no interest in supporting their customers or earning future business. This has been a costly and frustrating lesson in what happens when after-sales service is treated as an afterthought.
Don’t waste your money – Don’t waste your money. We have been so disappointed with this dishwasher. Unless you are an avid rinser and rinse your dishes until they are clean, you’ll forever be re-cleaning dishes. The middle rack isn’t so bad but the bottom rack is useless, especially if you don’t leave a gap between plates. Show details

So Damn Frustrating!!! – Bought and installed 3 days ago. Used twice so far and I cannot give a good review of the performance at all. Either I don't know how to work it or it is a dud but there is so much water on all the items in the machine when the dishwasher is finished. I thought it was because I need to choose extra dry setting but no, still has the same issue.… Read more
Worst of all is the cutlery in the drawer is saturated and has so much beading of water surrounding it. See pic. I have to physically dry the drawer or the water beading just sits permanently. The handle on the drawer fills up with water and it constantly drips and wets my hand when I clasp it to pull the drawer out. I was excited to have this cutlery drawer instead of a basket but it's a huge let down. Don't buy it, don't put yourself through the anxiety of having to dry everything in the dishwasher. I didn't want another cheap Euro brand but so far much better than Fisher & Paykel!

Good value, quiet, water efficient – The F & P dishwasher was on sale and we got it for a really good price. I wanted this model over the other F & P range due to the additional wash options such as Sanitise etc. Overall product works without issue and cleans dishes very well. The machine is water efficient, quiet and the spikes are adaptable to various dishes, pots and pans etc. I like the clean lines and no handle to bump into given the position in our kitchen. Find out how to fit normal dinner plates – Best feature, fast wash. My new 26.5cm dishes didn't fit so could only use it for small things and saucepans. Went to buy new dishwasher and found out how to raise the top shelf so normal size dinner plates fit. Saved us from buying a new one. Didn't clean dirty dishes well, had to scrape dishes first. So always rinse first. Show details
Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher – My Dishwasher packed it in ,so I replaced it with a new Fisher & Paykel, I was using the longest cycle but then I decided to try the 30 min cycle and all the dishes com out clean and dry I didn't notice any difference between the two cycles, what a like about this model from my last Fisher & Paykel dishwasher is the cutlery section with this… Read more
model you don't use a basket you use a tray which enables you to separate each item on the tray which I believe give the cutlery a better clean, the machine is quiet, I think it is important with any dishwasher is to use a good quality dish washing tablets and also use rinse aid this also improves the cleaning process.Excellent value for money
Negative reviews
Cheap junk – Does the job but it is designed to fail just out of warranty, the main motor has soft graphite bushes instead of bearings so after 2 years the bushes wear out far enough that the motor won’t spin anymore and anyone that thinks this is not intentional is delusional. Show details
3 years life span - leaks all the time to dangerous to have in a 2 story dwelling – utter garbage - only good for land fill at the dump!! waste of money, after 3 years the machine is at end of life. kitchen is on 2nd floor = major flooding potential as it continues to fill up with water by itself, the stop valve lets water in, need to keep it turned off at tap to avoid flooding. F30 error means your kitchen will be flooded and… Read more
you have to pull out the machine each time, tilt each time and re install each time. all the other reviews on here are the same and everyone is giving the same feedback. Its too dangerous to have in our home. Cant wait to get it out and cut it up with the angle grinder and put it where it belongs - the rubbish tip!!
Terrible dishwasher, waste of money – Terrible dishwasher. The lower spinner arm becomes unbalanced and hits the bottom rack and results in unwashed dishes. The motor died after 14 months and it was replaced under warranty. The new motor has died at 14 months and is now out of warranty and to replace it (with parts and labour) costs nearly as much as a new one. Show details

Difficult to repair – My dishwasher is only about 4 years old, over the past year it had episodes when it would alarm and stop and there would be water in the base of the dishwasher. This would only happen every few months or so, so was easy to deal with. Eventually it was happening quite often and we had it checked by a repairman . They have replaced the motor and an… Read more
electrical board and now the dishwasher works but the water doesn’t get hot. The repairmen have been back several times and have been quite helpful and they have also contacted fisher and paykel about it. I just don’t understand how any company would think a product is satisfactory that stops working after 4 years
Wont last more than 3.5yrs, FCO Motor Faulty – One of our friend recommend Fisher & Paykel and told us this is a good brand. We bought washer which last for 4 yrs only with 3 in home call services. 1 in out of warranty and paid $250. And this dishwasher DW60FC6X1 wont last 3 yrs too. The FCO code (Motor faulty) comes after 3yrs and we paid $250 for labour (technician came from F&P) with 1yr… Read more
warranty for the motor which last only 13months and again its the same issue. I do not recommend this piece of crap. Fisher & Paykel not a good brand believe me.
faulty design – This dishwasher's design is really bad。It has 3 layers but actually not enough space for 3 layers. Even a smallest dinner plate (26cm) will touch the spray arm, also not clean and dry properly. After being tortured for 2 months, I decided to buy a new curtley basket to replace the curtley tray, higher the other tray to make more room for dinner plate, now everything works fine. I wonder if they ever test the design before releasing the product.

Cheap and nasty – Can’t fit modern plates and long wine glasses Low quality clean needing re-wash Dishes etc. not dry at end of cycle Failed display and main board controller Terrible post sale support took 4 weeks Show details
Do not buy this dishwasher! – I bought this dishwasher in 2020 and just paid $150 to have a handyman tell me the motor has failed. Way too expensive to replace (Just saw this seems to be a problem that other customers have had) and now am shopping for a new dishwasher. I will get a cheap brand as it looks like you can only replace instead of repair - which is not great for the… Read more
environment!! Maybe the government should look at how bad appliance companies are for creating landfill!!
Does not dry dishes – Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Paid $1000 for it. Thought that spending that sort of money would get a decent machine. WRONG. It is a dishwasher that does not dry even on extra dry setting. DO NOT BY THIS MODEL. Very disappointing. I will never by F&P again. Show details
Absolute garbage – This dishwasher is absolute rubbish it does not clean dishes well and leaves food on plates, cutlery and cups I wish I had never bought it. My old Dishlex did a much better job and was an much old machine. Show details
Worst dishwasher ever – This is the worst dishwasher I have ever purchased. Nothing dries even using the extra dry function. I ended up buying a cultlery box because the cutlery tray does not clean the cutlery. Had to take out one of the cutlery trays to fit the glasses in the glass rack as I had to lift the first drawer as the plates don't fit in the bottom drawer. The… Read more
tablet dispenser doesn't open if anything is packed near it. Whoever designed this has never packed a dishwasher. I cant wait for it to break so I can get rid of it. Never again will I purchase a F&P product. If I could give it zero stars I would.
Failed after 2.5years – Never mind the wire racks rusting and falling apart after 2.5years it has a dead short and tripping the breaker. Electrician proved electrical circuits fine. That being said when it did work it was not very good. Tried so many different washing powders and always struggled to clear the trap. Pretty disappointed. Show details
Motor Fault twice - Do not buy this – Bought the dishwasher for $850. After 9 months, the dishwasher motor failed. Again failed after 13 months. Cost of getting a new part plus installation charge is high. If it breaks every year, you will be spending money equivalent to a brand new one :D. Reason I bought it because of the design and flexible space for dishes. What's the point of… Read more
these features, if the motor breaks every year.
Very disappointed with the product. This was my first and will be last product with F&P.
Terrible dishwasher – I have had this dishwasher for 2 weeks, and hate it. Everything about it is terrible.... the Layout is impractical. Have to raise the top basket to fit the dishes in the lower basket and then the glasses don't fit in the top basket. Have broken a couple of glasses already. Have to use the heavy cycle with extra dry, for anything to dry. Even then… Read more
there is still dampness on the dishes. Any lesser cycle does not dry at all. And lots of still dirty dishes after the heavy wash. DO NOT buy this dishwasher. I now have to suffer through until it dies. Not Happy, at all
Poor quality dishwasher & horrible service! – Within 3.5 years of buying this dishwasher stopped working! Had to pay $140 callout fee as only comes with 2 year warranty. made 3rd booking & this time no one turned up at all!. after I called customer service, had to wait 1 hour, then got advised advised the technician will call later today to rebook a 4th appointment!"Again! No one called! Best to avoid buying anything from fisher & paykel as if things break down you'll be doing circles thanks to their technician incompetent!! After more than a month I'm still waiting!

Do not buy – Ok dishwasher however didn't live for very long. FCO motor fault at just over 2 years. For the cost, one would expect it to last longer than 2 years. Never again. Show details
Motor Fault at 3 years, 2 months - completely useless – About a year ago one of the buttons fell of the control panel. Last night had an FCO error which is motor fault. Purchased only 3 years ago for $800 - what a complete waste of money. My first ever F&P product - never again! Show details
Failed within 8 months - F30 error – Bought from The Good Guys in Pakenham early August-2020, and has failed in May-2021 with a F30 error. I removed the dishwasher and tilted up and heaps of water ran onto the floor from the bottom drip tray and then after 2 more washes and another F30 error. Put in a warranty claim with Fisher & Paykel and a (really good) technician came out and… Read more
looked at it, but failed again with a F30 error message, this time it started dripping water out onto the floor.
In general the dishwasher did a (barely) ok job of washing, and terrible job of drying.
Its been around 6 weeks, and the technician said he'd have to try 2-3 more times to fix it before Fisher & Paykel would replace / refund the dishwasher, which could take another month or two. I now have to fight with Fisher & Paykel to try to get my money back - i don't trust this dishwasher not to flood my house.
simply doesn't work – I didn't know that it was possible to hate an appliance. Usually the dishes are dirty, they are never dry and I have given up on the detergent dispenser - it almost never opens. I will never buy another Fisher & Paykel product. Saving up to replace it even though it still 'works'. Massive waste of money... Show details
This 'dishwasher' is not fit for purpose – This is by far the worst dishwasher I have ever used. I scrape, but don't rinse, before loading. Very often the dishes are still dirty and its common for the cutlery tray to have collected the bits of food that have been removed from the dishes in the lower part of the machine. Tablet dispenser door frequently doesn't open. I'm always shocked when… Read more
a load comes out dry, despite selecting extra dry every time, it works approx 5% of the time. Plastics NEVER dry. At the 2.5 year mark it stopped working completely. The pump died and it was going to cost more to repair than we paid for the original purchase. Thanks to 2 year warranty this is now a very expensive piece of absolute garbage.
Should have listened to the reviews – Not much to say, except that I think F&P forgot the main aim of a dishwasher - actually wash dishes. Nothing ever comes out clean, even on the long heavy cycles. The cutlery tray is the worst - no point putting cutlery in here, it comes out just as filthy, and dripping wet (even on extra dry). $200 dishwasher provided by building company on my new build was better. Waste of $800. Show details
A terrible dish washer – This is a horrible dishwasher and all the review I read are correct The old LG was marvellous my wife just wanted a stainless steel look I wasn’t happy. Should have kept the old lg it was working fine
15 days wait time for warranty repairs – Pathetic company warranty timeframe to even contact me to address total power loss. Disappointed for disabled & e elderly reliant on this companies product. 15 days wait time to repair is appalling. I bought a new one from Bunnings now while waiting for F & P as they replace with better levels of service. Never a F & P product again! Show details
If you don’t have bowls and dinner plates it’s great – Worst design possible Cannot fit dinner plates on the bottom and small children’s bowls in the top draw I would love to illustrate how poorly this machine fits anything in a standard household to the CEO of fisher & paykel- they should be embarrassed to sell such useless appliances - surely there must be regulations to design? It’s around 30%… Read more
smaller internally than Siemens/Bosch dishwashers and none of the spots to put your dishes have a wide enough gap to fit bowls without them tipping over when you slide the draw. Do not buy this machine- I thought the reviews were exaggerating but no, spot on. Extremely disappointed- absolute waste of money
This is a useless dishwasher stay away from it – I bought this diswasher 2 years ago. I am beyond disappointed in this one, it is horrendous. The first issue is the interior design. ordinary sized plates do not fit in the bottom drawer unless the top drawer is in the raised position. If the top drawer is raised then we cannot even fit normal coffee mugs in without them hitting the cutlery… Read more
drawer. Very poor design cannot fit normal cups, plates, small bowels etc.
Cutlery drawer doesn't dry properly and always wet. And the drying function on this dishwasher is extremely poor. Half the time the dishes in the two drawers are not dry (the cutlery NEVER is) even in g extra dry feature is selected.
I rang customer service 3 time was on hold for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer and they were completely useless- they were reading the manual on the go (which I had already done) and had no idea about it at all. They told me to check the internet, and here I am.
Extremely disappointed in this dishwasher. Useless and F and P should train the people in customer service to assist in basic issues
Perfect dishwasher for Bilbo Baggins – Had this dishwasher for about 4 months and still cannot get over the slight space its provides. Cannot pack large coffee cups or mugs in the upper tray, cannot put dinner plates in front section of bottom tray (stops tablet dispenser door from opening). The adjustable rop tray is completely useless. I have to load cup and mugs where plates should… Read more
go. It is like playing tetris. Easier to hand wash. Have owned a number of dish washers over the years and this is by far the worse.
Got a lemon – I’ve had bought the dishwasher for 1 year, and had to call the service in 3x to fix the problem, E52 and F30 errors. Last few technicians couldn’t figure out what’s wrong with it, we just let it air for a few days and it started to work again. The last technician suggested that it could be a factory error, and suggested that I asked for a new… Read more
machine, if it happens again. And guess what, it happen again, and NO NEW MACHINE. I have to wait for a service person to come, and it’s not for another full week. I am will without a dishwasher for at least a full week! And god knows what will happen when technician comes.
I have a young family, dishwasher is fundamental to my day to day. I thought when we bought a Fisher and Paykel, we were buying into quality, reliable and trustworthy brand. I am frustrated beyond believe. Just take my lemon away and give me a working dishwasher.
Not happy with product – The dispenser doesn't open all the time, or if it does the tablet doesn't come out. (tried two brands). The top shelf for cutlery hardly washing everything. I'm in the process of waiting for the seller to get back to me as I have only had this appliance since June. Not happy. Show details
