Easy to use, Plenty of space and the Ice maker is pretty awesome – Has plenty of space to organise your groceries etc. the deep freezer is pretty good with 3 trays which all come in handy. I mostly store Flat breads in the middle one. The ice maker is always full and have plenty of ice all the year round. The plumbed function makes it all easy to get filtered and cold water. Show details

Just purchased, enjoying the features of the fridge bar one aspect – just purchased this fridge, for its capacity and features its size is super efficient. so far everything works great, i've been logging internal temps and it is very well regulated. I noticed they no longer use panasonic compressors like in their old fridge but a brand im not familiar with. we purchased particularly for the chilled water and ice… Read more

feature, ice works great but one thing to note with the water, i find the first 250ml or so comes out room temp as its sitting in the pipe line between the dispenser and the reservoir , i would have thought they would run the pipe within the refrigerated section to prevent this but no.

so pretty much have to fill a cup and pour it down the drain then fill another for cold water. a bit silly.

Bought One, on to my Thrid already – Bought these swanky silver F&P fridges... and within a couple of months, it needed to be replaced... few months later more issues with the replacement... and then the technician came out, made errors during the service - cut the wire too short.. and then cut the wrong one at the back... killing the fridge..... it needed to be replaced again... now… Read more

after a few more months... then the new new fridge is noisy.... solution.. turn it off when it happens for 30 mins...

In between F&P didnt want to compensate me for my losses of time, food, take out. These fridges have cost me hundreds for not working... on top of the initial purchase cost.

Apparently they sent a couple of gift cards as a token effort, that I have never received but it doesnt even cover all of the food loss costs anyway (no compensation for the stuffing around) ... since I have been in communication with their customer service, but they are yet to respond back after a few weeks...

Customer service is terrible at F&P, Fridge is ok, if you can get one to work and stay working... I bought three F&P fridges in the past four years and ALL have had issues... the two silver ones have both been replaced - one mentioned above twice, the other once.... , the other third white fridge has been making noise for over 6 months... and has to be turned off to stop it...

They just dont make fridges like they use to.

Given my experience and the incurred ongoing costs of time loss, etc. I would advise on walking past this brand for all of their products.

Works perfectly... if you don't mind a pipe constantly rattling – This fridge/ freezer is great at keeping food and drinks chilled or frozen. The stainless is great to clean (we have never had a stainless fridge before so as you could guess we were hesitant with the young kids). They seem to manage all sorts of finger prints and marks...they wipe off with a wet cloth. The only issue we had with the stainless was… Read more

when we had fridge magnets and our 5 year old was moving a magnet which in turn put a large scratch down the fridge door. I asked if i could purchase a new door skin as the mark wont buff out... we need to purchase a new door as they dont sell the skins and it is worth as much as a new fridge... not happy considering the fridge is less than a year old. The only other issue is with a compressor pipe around the rear which keeps unclipping itself making an awful rattling noise. The service tech has been out and just clipped it back in... a week later it was loose again. Not a very secure bracket. All things considering we are pretty happy with the fridge.

Behind the closed or more rightfully 'ajar' door that counts – Overall very good product with Lots of plusses with a couple of silly minuses. I'm quite a fan of Fisher and Paykel products, there technology and ideas are there but it seems that cost cutting and design faults have made there way into there products more and more with the merger with Haier or lack of testing. If anyone asked me what fridge to… Read more

buy, only Fisher and Paykel or Westinghouse come to mind.

So the good

- looks great and quality stainless steel used

- no issues with cooling efficiency seems to be spot on most of the time. Never change the temp settings

- smart electronics. Probably the most important purchase factor. They really do make a noticeable difference.

- relatively quiet

- well lit interior

- logical spacious interior layout

- controls on door easy to access and use

- water dispenser smart use of space

- materials internally seem sturdy, quality and will wear well

- no silly gimmicks or unnecessary features

Not so good

- the bloody doors! How did a plastic clip make it out into production to serve the most used component of a fridge. The self closing feature has broken twice. Why they haven't improved or superceded the design is beyond me. Poor form F & P! Door wil not self close and will stay ajar just off close position without trigging door alarm.

- the water dispenser is a little slow to dispense and limited amount of cold water supplied

- surprisingly no Celsius graduation for temp adjust or real time temp display seems at odds with F&P tech.

- compressor and fans make themselves heard sometimes and not because they are working at max capacity

- glass shelves don't extend all the way to back wall so small items can fall between wall and shelve

- fold away or split shelve would be handy as interior height in fridge not great compared to top mounts

- I purchased extended warranty at purchase due to the nature and complexity these days. Well worth it as already used for door hinge issue which I need to make another warranty claim again for same issue.

Looking at the the gradual model updates not much has changed at all with interior design and tech as their already onto a good thing. Rightfully so there technology was ahead of its time when they introduced active smart many years ago. The door mechanisms seem to have improved also due to the ongoing issues but bit too late. They should offer an upgraded design to the door mechanism when repairing, not just fit the same old dis functional part.

The size is perfect – The size of the fridge just fits my small kitchen and I really like the simple design of it. It maintain a consistence temperature and the fridge is easy to open and close Actually nothing is that special, it’s just like a normal fridge. Show details

Works great, keeps good temperature – This fridge is excellent, the shelves are a good size, the cold water dispenser works well the ice maker is good. The only downside is drawers in the freezer tend to lose things but having said that its better being able to see everything that's in the fridge instead. The LED lighting inside works well and keeps everything nice and visible. The… Read more

only issue I have with it is that it dents very easily. We had a Samsung before this one for about 5 years that didn't have a mark on it, we have had this fridge for about 18 months now and already has two significant dents on it

Great fridge, highly recommended – We bought this fridge for a holiday home and I have to say it is very spacious, modern looking and fits smaller spaces than a double door fridge. I haven't connected the water yet, however. The glass shelves are easy to clean. The only annoying this is the crisper drawer opens all the drawers, as in you cannot open each one independently.  Show details

Stylish & Spacious - But unreliable & buggy with poor freezer performance – Purchased recently after a house move. The quality and finish of the fridge was superb and the stainless is easy to clean. Temperatures seem consistent and with 3 unrelated people sharing this fridge (everyone has their own food) there is plenty of room and finally we have enough freezer space. The first thing I noticed was the motor seems to… Read more

run a lot more often than my previous F&P Fridge, you definitely notice it kick into high gear after the door has been open.

Updated June 2019 Unfortunately once we got into the warmer months the freezer compartment performed very poorly and the technican advised the fridge likely didnt have a full gas charge.

F&P replaced the fridge with a new one which didn't cool properly & threw multiple fault codes when the technician visited. They sent a third fridge which was better than the first but still didnt freeze ice cream properly in hot summer temps, the technician claimed that freezers arent that cold anymore??

Over the next few months the fridge developed a loud clunking noise and the door light started to fail intermittently. Adding to that the main door developed a 3mm twist top to bottom

Update 3: The fridge was replaced again and the new one arrived with a dent in the door, so back it went. Another new fridge was sent out and yet another dent in the door. This time they convinced me to keep it, they would replace the door. This was Fridge Number 5.

The replacement door arrived and the technician came out and fitted it (incorrectly) The door didnt seal properly and there was condensation forming along the top near the seal. Another technician came out a couple of weeks later, blasted the first technician and sorted it out. The 2 doors had a different finish and I wasnt happy about thatand then after much poking around I realised it still had a protective factory plastic stuck on it! They had removed one coating when it was initially fitted but it still had a second one in place so I removed it.

Fast forward to 2024. The Fridge is still working ok but the freezer is not great. It has a tendency to freeze items on the fridge shelves on really hot days and the freezer door is leaking again. Did it ever stop? .

One of my housemates splashed a curry dish on the fridge and it stained the stainless which was both annoying & disappointing.

Overall this has been a really bad experience - 5 fridges later and I still have a fridge where the freezer door doesnt seal properly.

rubbish – this fridge looks 60 years old after 6 years. door is staining because the plastic coating is failing over the metal. seals are crap. handle is loosing its chrome. no good. lots of dings because the metal on door is so soft. our old fridge had no dings in 25 years of use. door was hard to open so tech cut holes in seals, now the little hole he made is about 6cm. long. very disappointed.  Show details

Poor Fridge, pathetic customer service – We bought Fisher and Paykel fridge in December 2017. Within 2 months the smart active system failed. F&P sent a repairer, still not fixed. We now have spent three months dealing with F&P and still do not have a replacement or a refund. Avoid F&P if at all possible. Bad fridge, even worse customer service.  Show details

Absolutley love it – I purchased this fridge and was a bit hesitant about the bottom mount freezer but after trying it I absolutely loved it. It adapts itself when new stuff were put into the shelves/ drawers by decreasing the temp. and then go back to normal after a few minutes. The ice maker works well and keeps the ice nice and full. A bit noisy but robust – I looked at quite a few fridges before selecting this one and so far I'm very happy with it. There are some smart features that I don't care much for. It's roomy (for a family of 3 that regularly entertains), I like the number if shelf settings and it feels robust. It's a bit noisy but you get used to it. However, the proof will be in its longevity as that's what really matters.  Show details

Great looking fridge – I love this look of this fridge, the design and the water dispenser - we drink a lot more water nowadays. I prefer the fridge at the top, as we use this section more often than the freezer and it saves bending down to see fridge contents - which is what we had to do a lot with the previous fridge that had the freezer at the top. The drawers in the freezer are a little awkward to use and a bit loose - overall very happy so far with the fridge.  Show details
