My Fisher & Paykel FabricSmart WA1068P1 10 kg is just turn on and off itself, can you help me for that problem?
Hi I no longer have this heap of rubbish. I will not touch Fisher Paykel for any product. I bought a Samsung top loader and so far after 4 months if great and totally new technology and reliable. Cannot fault it yet. Do what I did - cut your losses and take the F P to the dump. They rust, they break down, suspensions arms do not last, and F K blame it all on the consumer. I am sorry I cannot help and P K will want you to sell your house to fix it.
Hi update I purchased a new lid locking mechanism as was suggested . which did fixed the lid open error. Now I have a new error coming up on D03 code 49. any help would be much appreciated. Hi we have had a FabricSmart WA1068P1 which has suddenly stops working after the water level is reached. The timer still counts down. I Checked D03 for fault and it shows 0 can you help please
Hi Keith I cannot help with the code and no doubt F P will want a million dollars to rectify it. Do doubt it is out of warranty and only good as a boat anchor. They are absolute rubbish as the 10 kg we had had a rusted cabinet within which was evidently in the warranty period but only located to be so when i had to put in the 4 replacement shocks as the piece of rubbish shook so violently. Not worth the scrap metal. Fisher Paykel will not honor known faults, and I never now buy any Fisher Paykel product whatsoever.
I ended up buying a bit larger Samsung WA12A8376GW and it on 6 months has been excellent. No centre piece to rip your clothes apart which the F P did as the plastic agitator was crappy plastic as was my daughters same model FP 8.5, I bought my daughter a replacement machine.
Get FP out after warranty was a nightmare and very expensive. They also use Fallon who are rip of merchants. E.g. I got a Mit4 Kw Air system fitted by Harvey Norman and a contractor all up for $1500 back-to-back but Fallon for the exact product wanted over $3,600.
I can advise to never buy F P as they are now owned by the Chinese electronics and home appliances company Haier Group Corporation owns Fisher & Paykel. The Chinese are making good products now but this piece of sh.t is not typical. No building in Ozz anymore.

HI I have a WA1068P model machine. When I select regular wash it will default everytime to 11 on the display which is rinse and does not do the whole wash cycle. Seems it is stuck at 11. Can you please help
The machine is filling up and it sporadically beeps 3-4 times, no error code both hot and cold water is on. It doesn’t stop the machine from working - I have reset, given a super duper clean out. Any ideas?
Contact the service number in the booklet provided. Unfortunately I hate my new machine so can't give any proper advice. I don't recommend this model.
This is a really bad machine - have issues and mine is only 2 years old. Fisher & Paykel have zero customer service and do not care what is wrong and take NO responsibility for their dodgy workmanship. I will never purchase another Fisher & Paykel - complete rubbish - riding on false good name!! Also warning machine rust from the inside out - not designed to interact with water - which is ridiculous given it is a WASHING MACHINE!!

Our machine gets down to 10 mins, stops then continues to fill with water? Any ideas?
My machine makes continual light thumping noises when it is filling. (as well as draining and spinning) Is this normal? The outer tub moves slightly with each thump too.
My machine is WA1068P (10kg) There is no number 1 after the p. The problem I’m having is my regular wash cycle is going a bit haywire. Is 30 minutes only all of a sudden for no reason and is draining out what it fills on starting. All other cycles (heavy, delicate etc) are functioning normally. Can I do a reset to rectify this, and if so, how? Thank you

The motor for the washing machine is it ac or dc
I believe F/P motors are brushless DC. Not totally sure. Suggest you direct that to Fisher Paykel or google it.
Hi, I just recently purchased a FP 8.5kg top loader WM and I love it, it does what I need it to do but does it have a lint filter please? I forgot to ask sales person about it :-)
No it doesn’t Liz. You can buy an after market device that you fit into the central agitator column. F&P claim their machine doesn’t need this as ‘it self cleans the lint out during the rinse/ spin cycles’. I can tell you that I clean my after market lint bag after every 3 or 4 washes and it catches a great deal of lint. The cost seems to range from $25 to $45 and you can buy on EBay. Get the model with the lint bag. You fit it by removing the central water softness cup and pushing the lint filter as far down as you can push. Put the softener cap back on after you install the filter. Don’t worry it has a handle on top for easy retrieval & installation. I get a lot of satisfaction seeing how much lint is trapped and no longer on my clothes (I have Gypsy the cat)

Hi John, Power on the washer, select Quick wash for a shorter spin or regular wash for a longer spin. Now go to the far right selection button- wash/ rinse/ spin. Press button till spin is highlighted. Press start. Similar for a rinse and spin. Cheers Sylvia

Hi Gayle, I can’t answer your question but you can find out by going to Fisher & Paykel manuals online and download your model. There should be a description of the functions etc. They also have a downloadable manual outlining the parts of your washer should you need to replace them. external link This link should help.

hi i have a fisher and paykel 10kg WL1068P1 and keep getting the code 40 i have pulled it apartand cant seem to work out what the problem is It does not spin as it should (spins very very slowly) any help would be great
Can anyone tell me if the FIsher and Paykel WA856OE1 washing machine allows you to do a spin cycle on its own? I do a lot of handwashing in the laundry sink and only need to spin them. Had different information supplied by Fisher and Paykel themselves and am looking for someone who has just bought one recently. Thanks.

Hi not sure if there’s any point reposting the same question that didn’t get answers above but our washing machine has worked well for 4 years and now just is out of balance every wash. Doesn’t spin dry. Every time I manually rebalance it seems to add more water and time to the cycle and never finishes. I’ve checked the machine level. Seems fine. Stabiliser rods don’t seem worn. Can’t find the balance sensor anywhere. Any help would be appreciated to save a waste of a trip from a technician if the repair will be close to the same cost as a new machine
How to fix the imbalance in the WL1068P1?
spin cycle not working goes out of balance. if i empty the bowl it spins fine.
perhaps the wrong level but worth getting a service call if still under warranty. I was advised long ago that picking the correct love is important and placing in as even as you can. hope that helps
