Rubber Seal – The rubber seal of my front loader washing machine Fisher and Paykel WH80F60W1 gets mouldy after use. I have made many attempts in removing the mould but have not succeeded. i even wipe dry the rubber seal after every use. My clothes get stained with the mould which cannot be removed. Can I replace the rubber seal? Show details
Are front loaders and issue. My 4 year old machine stopped working – My 4 year old machine stopped working. Yes it should have lasted 10 years. Then the more I read the more it seems that Front Loaders can be more problematic. I contacted Fisher and Paykel and they were..........great. They listened, understood and resolved my issues. I am very happy with the outcome. I have now purchased a Top Loader Fisher and Paykel
Awesome Machine – We have recently purchased this machine for our new home recently purchased. After washing several loads in the new machine we are happy with our new purchase. We believe that the clothes come out nice and clean, better than the top loaders to be honest. The machine is very quite whilst washing. Can highly recommend
Worst company ever – We bought a washing machine 4 years ago. Couple months after it stopped working so we replaced it under warranty. The new one has so many problems and we keep fixing it so often. I don't recommend anyone on buying this brand nor dealing with this company cause they never solve a thing.
A frustrating machine! – I've had the 8kg WH80F60W1 for just over 3 years now and am ready to replace it. I've had technicians out at least 6 times over the first 2 years or so but have given up now. I think it's just badly designed!! Initially I was having problems with it not spinning at the end of the "Daily" cycle. Then I was unable to select the "Drain and Spin"… Read more
cycle. Still unable to spin small loads - I just hang hand-washing out to drip dry! The thing that annoys me the most now is the puddle of water that is in the bottom of the seal after every load. I always sponge it out and leave the door open to dry it out, but scum still builds up all around the seal. The technician replaced the seal after about 2 years and I've ben extra vigilant with wiping out since, but scum still builds up. This periodically leaves a brown smear on white towels or sheets or other pale items. Probably also on dark items but not as noticable! I won't buy another F&P product in a hurry - a shame as I have a F&P fridge, dishwasher and dryer that are all great! Do all front loaders have water left in the seal after every load where mould or scum builds up?? Technician was reliable but unable to fix some problems, due to poor design Spin doesn't always work, scum builds up in seal and leaves marks on clothes etc
Terrible – Disappointing. I did my research and Choice recommended this machine. I was looking for a good rinse feature but dudded out on this heap! Good wash. quiet. WH80F60W1 bought a year ago, and since then, our clothes have become harder and harder. I now have to throw out the towels because we can't use them. I suspect the machine is not rinsing… Read more
properly and note another reviewer's comments that the soap powder was not releasing till the rinse cycle - must check that. Can't believe sheets/towels take 2 hrs 40 mins on cotton 30 setting Bitterly disappointed - hopeless customer service via call centre in New Zealand that they mistakenly call "Customer Care". Fast cycle does not spin water out properly.
Good – The Set-up guys somehow misplaced a box underneath the machine which causes it to tilt. This also makes the spin cycle uncompleted. So before we found this we called the Cust Service,n the answer is swift and they are about to send a technician out the next day when we found the misplaced box underneath. It hasn't been a prob since. My fave… Read more
function is 'time delay'. I normally put on 6 or 9 hours time delay to start the washing. So by the time I wake up it's actually in rinse cycle and clothes are ready to hang by the time I finish breakfast. So far I'm more happy than not so can't complain too much!! I have the 8Kg WH80F60W1 for 2 weeks now. It washes more quietly than the previous top loader fr the same brand. Easy to operate and looked good. Govt rebate-$150 for its water saving efficency 4 1/2 stars. Bought it fr Domayne for $900ish. And if my previous top loader was any indication it should be a very tough machine to last a long time but I buy the total 5 yrs warranty for peace of mind. Oh..customer service is one of the best I ever deal with. It washes white 'less well' than the top loader. Somehow it's not as bright. Spin isn't as quiet as I expected. Boy it takes 1 1/2 hr just to finish the normal wash. Time deay is misleading it's 1,2,3, then 3 hours skip till 24 hours is reached.
