Poor battery life – The description says battery will last up to 6 months. I have not had a battery last longer than 2 months. Sometime's they don't even make it a month. Also, I don't leave my data on 24/7, so when I do turn it on to sync the device - it is often several minutes of trying over and over before it actually syncs. I'm on my 3rd device as the… Read more

company keeps telling me it's a faulty one so they send a new one. Obviously, it's the design of the product. I would NOT ever buy this product again.

Discreet fitness tracker – Great lil fitness tracker that clips onto your belt or trousers and no one knows you're wearing it. Does the basics with counting steps and distance and calories burnt but doesn't track floors or sleep. Easy to lose as it's so small. Fitbit app on the phone is awesome and cool to use.  Show details

Works just a I want – So glad I changed from my other Fitbit which I wore on my wrist. Which was too hard to clip on to stay... Descrete it just clips onto your belt or trouser & off you go. Measures steps, distance, calories burned, clock. Sync's with my phone or PC. You can customize the screen. Bought one for my partner as I was soo happy with it. [weblink removed]  Show details

I couldn't even get the battery compartment open – The battery compartment was impossible to open so I could never actually use it. I looked on line and it seems to be a common fault. The thing is made of cheap plastic and by the time I finished trying the battery hatch was damaged beyond repair. Two more words to bring it to 50  Show details

Poor performer – I bought this to replace a lost fitbit - I was hoping for something that would be accurate and not have to sit on my wrist. This was OK but the accuracy was really off and you always risk leaving it on your clothes that go in the wash! It didn't sync well and I had to sync it often to see what was happening. I also missed having the sleep feature. I ended up replacing this with the Alta.  Show details

Good, but wristbands are better – I received this as a gift - but personally, I believe wearables are just a gimmick and don't have much to offer. In terms of tracking fitness goals, it's obviously not as good as the other Fitbit devices but it tracks steps well enough. For the price paid, however, it's better to just spend a little extra for the wristbands. There's not much that… Read more

the zip can offer - the compactness of it is my favourite thing about it but other than that it's honestly just a novelty.

great little gadget – I got given a Fitbit zip 18 months ago as a gift, it is a great incentive, I did have a couple of problems with it losing my steps but Fitbit were great to deal with and changed it over for a new one no questions asked. It does what I want it for and won't hesitate when it comes time to upgrade.  Show details

Simple – I initially had no problems with this Fitbit but it started to misbehave within a few months. It would die quite suddenly. I replaced the battery but the problem got worse. It would reset to 0 after a few hours of wear, sometimes more than once in a day, so I would lose all my steps. I contacted Fitbit (very slow response) and they sent me an… Read more

impossible to see diagram of the inside of the device and suggested I adjust the battery holder to secure it better and maintain contact. After two attempts I was successful and it has worked fine ever since. Fitbit need to work on quality control and improve customer support. An email shouldn't take more than a week to answer.

Great – Fantastic device, I don't leave home without it. Only problem is that you have to replace the battery. That was my fault for not reading the package properly though. Thankfully the battery has usually lasted me at least 3 to 4 weeks before needing to be replaced. Overall great device  Show details

Handy little device – Started using the fitbit zip about a week ago. I find it good for counting steps and i use the fitbit app to log my food intake, which is good. The only thing i miss is the heart rate monitor but this is such a handy little device which you can clip securely to anything. I don't like wearing a fitbit watch as i like my jewelry but this device is easy to conceal under your clothes. Worth a try.  Show details

Luv it but my one was faulty – This has definitely got me off my coffee perch and moving, moving, moving. It's great fun to go against others using the online app. Only bad thing is mine was faulty. Was very difficult to open and slide onto my clothing. Less than 2months of using and a piece has come off the clip. Now near impossible to use. Rang JB and it's not a problem to exchange as it was purchased as Xmas. Currently waiting for it to be transferred to my local store.  Show details

Great product – I've had my fit bit zip for around 6 months and love it. The discreet size and basic functions are great, it's easy to clip onto clothing and go. Teamed with the app where you can track progress and other features. For someone who doesn't want the wrist style tracker this is a great alternative.  Show details

Piece of rubbish – Spent more time fixing it's problems than it actually working! Frustrating and annoying! First dashboard doesn't show steps then zip stops working altogether when I updated the app. Contacted help by email, tried everything they suggested and still nothing. For the price it should work properly. Never again, surely there's a better product available

Good idea. No "how to" information – Manual very difficult to find online and with little to no useful information when I did find it. The device adds steps that I hadn't taken ie. at breakfast it will show 1000 steps and I can't edit that wrong data so for the rest of the day the data analysis of calories in/out is inaccurate. I am mostly frustrated that there is no help in… Read more

navigating the "dashboard" where data is logged and that data can be logged inaccurately with no manual override. I will be looking for a better version made by a company who want you to know how to use their product.
