I don't think this company receives the credit it's really due! Amazed with the lifetime warranty and care taken by the guys onsite. I know there are cheap sole traders out there, but I would rather pay for the care Fix n Flow have taken. Thanks guys

This firm should be regarded as predatory and treated with healthy skepticism. There are 2 sides of a coin here. [Name Removed] was competent, capable, knowledgeable, well spoken, patient, good communication. He is the sole reason I elected to go with FixNFlo. My outdoor pump for my water tank was non-functional. I was quoted $3300 for total… Read more

replacement of pump and controller or $2100 for controller replacement and hope the pump was still operational. I was shocked at the cost but elected for the controller replacement. I assumed the pump was absurdly expensive and the controller to suit. My first mistake. The pump was not receiving any power and [Name Removed] thought the controller was the likely culprit. I don't have time to learn about plumbing, so went with his judgement and paid for the replacement.

Next side of the coin

The new controller was installed in 1-2 hours max with easy access to the pump. The 2 plumbers who have completed the install (not [Name Removed]9) then inform me the pump cannot be made operational without manually closing the valve for mains water. I'm given the option of manually operating valves outdoors whenever I wish to switch between mains and tank water rather than the automatic function it used to have. Its absurd. I'm questioned repeatedly whether the pump ever worked at all (it did), have it stated repeatedly to me that it shouldn't be possible for it to work, and now requires additional pipework and a rains2main valve. I'm beyond confused at this stage. I question whether it’s possible the pump has that valve technology within it and am told it’s not possible. Escalates to an Operations manager informing me now I need new works at additional cost of $1200.

Plumbers leave and I contact the tech support of the wholesaler for the pump (Maxijet in Melbourne). They spend 3 minutes with me on the phone and assist me getting the pump operational (reducing pressure over the controller via the regulator valve adjustment) and automatic as it used to be prior to replacement. Keep in mind I know nothing about plumbing yet can get it operational.

As I am now involved, I examine the cost of the pump. $550 for the pump AND controller max, much less for the controller alone (around $250). I understand profit margins but holy Jesus. That's 7 times the value to leave me with a non operational unit, and then quoted for additional works. And it turns out the Italian pump (Zeno, ZHR series, ZPS-800) has that equivalent valve technology already in the controller as I suspected.

From the Instruction manual "The Zenox pump, ZHR series has an internal pressure controller which automatically starts the pump when there is demand for water supply. The pressure controller will only operate if tank water is available. It will automatically switch to mains water when tank water is empty and in case of power failure".

I can't figure out whether I'm dealing with wild incompetence or a scam to extract maximum funds. I referred it to Fair trading.

Our usual plumber was overseas and we found fix n flow on google. Had a leaking shower head and was quoted $700 to fix it, but then he said he didn’t think he could, and wanted to drill through the outside of our house to fix it at a cost of $4000?! We advised there was no way we were going to pay it, and he said he would talk to his manger and… Read more

the price dropped to $550. (He didn’t speak to anyone) He changed a small metal object, in about 10 mins and left. We’ve been told by our regular plumber, that the price should have been no more than $400. Would never recommend to anyone, they did a follow up call about the service and we told them everything, and that they will get back to us but never did. Extremely disappointed.

The team provided the best and affordable options, with payment plans offered. All the staff who were involved were great and respectful. Excellent job with our burst pipes, and finished the job very neat and tidy. Highly recommended

Excellent service from the team. They were professional, punctual, and completed the work to a high standard. Communication was clear throughout the whole process and everything was left clean and tidy once finished. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

Fix n Flow charged more than $4000 for a job they didn't fix. They became aggressive when asked to visit the site again to actually fix it. Claimed they did the job so anything else would be a new job for which they would charge full rates for.… Read more

Given their customer service is non-existent, I got another plumber who saw the issue immediately and charged less than $1000, which in the end I didn't pay because it was a strata responsibility to fix. So no, it wasn't the hot water unit that was faulty, it was the outlet pipe that was cracked and causing the leaks. Sent issue to Dept of Fair Trading and now it is with the Building Commission. Tried before to come to a negotiated agreement for reimbursement of the hot water unit (not labour) but no-go from them. I feel the company has lots of good social media without the skills or customer service to back it up.

Follow-up  · After the matter was referred from the Dept of Fair Trading to the NSW Building Commission, prompt action was taken by Fix n Flow and a full refund was received soon afterwards. I feel it was my willingness to ask for a partial refund in the first instance and my scrupulous record keeping that helped get this resolved.

He charged $600 to just come out to my place. My family spent an hour bucketing water from my room while we waited for him to arrive. Just before he arrived, the rain died down so the water stopped coming in, and we found out where the issue was likely coming from. So the guy arrived and he was the most clueless person I have ever met. He asked… Read more

no relevant questions and had to be force fed information. He then went and sat in his car for 20 minutes before coming back to tell us he wanted $850 MORE to just LOOK at where the issue might be before wanting to charge us MORE if there was anything to be done. He couldn't tell us how much, I guess he would just figure out how much he could milk the desperate situation. I have never been so price gouged in my life. I told him to leave so the guy did literally nothing for $600, just sat around for half an hour. I suspect he was so tight lipped because if anything he said would have suggested a solution he couldn't have gotten his $850. I have never done plumbing in my life and I was so disgusted I went out to check the drain, it was not a hard job. They were just debating the maximum they could charge me to do nothing. Utter scam.

Called to enquire on a pool leak. Someone named Joey came out. I was not under the impression that this call out was not to do testing as I was told over the phone. Joey came out took a photo of my pool then asked for $100. Not sure why he was sent out he did nothing but take a photo which I could’ve simply sent myself, then he went onto to tell… Read more

me if I wanted it tested it would be $1500. This was new information to me. Literally cost me money for someone to come out and take a lousy photo which I believe he did just to prove he came here and that’s about it. Won’t be referring this company to anyone and will not be using them again. I was not given the correct information when I made the call and pretty much just got a smug guy come out who patronized me and left. Thanks for nothing.

Hi I just wish to commend the professionalism in the way Joey explained the reasoning behind the pressure situation that I have. On his advice I have removed the restriction in the shower head and so far, it seems to have fixed the problem.

Highly recommend FIX ‘N’ FLOW PLUMBING and will definitely be using them for all future plumbing requirements. This company is professional and reliable! Our hot water died after 10yrs of service. what type of unit would provide our needs and then considered the best option. The types offered were electrical hot water single or twin unit, continuous hot water system or gas hot water system. We booked them in to conduct the works due to Fix n flow’s transparency and ability to answer all of our many questions. Initially we weren’t sure whether to repair, replace and replace with which type of unit. We decided to remove and replace from indoor upstairs laundry to outside, on the side of the house. They provided everything required including the unit, plumbing, electrical and gas. The total job took under 4hrs for capping and redirecting copper pipe work for water and gas. A slab for the hot water unit, junction for the previous electrical wiring, allowing us the option to use in the future if required. Removal of the old unit and unlimited knowledge of everything involved/required for works and maintenance. Amazing dealing with them regarding customer service, clear and concise communication, understanding urgency and competitively priced. Everyone that I have spoken to prior and during the service created an assuring feeling and made us feel like we made the right choice in choosing them, even with a slight complication of supplying the unit we initially chose, provided us with an alternative almost immediately and with a discount. High communication, involving notifications upon distance from attendance and unlimited knowledge of what they were doing, when and why. Well put together company with obvious experience of how to provide a remarkable service all round.
