Really poort build quality and no support – My experience with flexiglass: Bought 2 fleet vehicles with flexiglass sport canopy's from the dealer, really poor fit from the start, back door has 4 finger size air gaps on each side that dust just poors in, after 1 year none of the locks on the side windows sprung back anymore even when soaked in crc or greased, so you have to manually push all… Read more

4 latches back so the windows will even latch on both canopies, annoying but we just dealt with it, sold one vehicle after 1 year, now after 3 years on the remaining vehicle the plastic along the back window has completely cracked and separated from the silicone and the pins for the side window locks had fallen out, no help or alternative given by them to fix the back door so I have to pay for the whole back window replacement because its out of warranty, when asked if they could do any discount to help out on the replacement of there poor quality rear door and latch @$850 they simply replied no sorry they have a fixed price. Left a bad taste in my mouth when I have 8 other fleet vehicles with competitors canopies in great shape after 6 years so I decided instead of paying $850 to fix a poorly constructed canopy that will break again in 3 years I would cut my losses ordered a different brand that I know is good and will unfortunately have to bin the flexiglass.

Flexiglass canopy rear window plastic surround cracking up – I purchased a Flexiglass Flexisports canopy when purchasing my new vehicle. 3 years later the rear window lower plastic moulding that holds the locking mechanism has numerous cracks along the length of the black moulding. The vehicle has never been off road and not subject to adverse conditions like corrugations or undulating road… Read more

conditions....bitumen only. After numerous correspondence with the supplier I have decided to replace the canopy with another brand so I don't need to worry about the potential of a rear window replacement in three years or less, especially once the vehicle heads off road.

Very disappointed

Cheap and nasty components used, obsolete after 6 years – Contacted flexiglass for rear replacement hinges for VF canopy. Told they are obsolete and all parts and canopies are made in China now so no spare parts. I would recommend to never buy a flexiglass canopy unless you only want it to last 5 years. With a broken rear hinges my $3500 canopy is a trip to the tip. Can't find replacement on eBay… Read more

and flexiglass couldn't give a toss about after sales service. No wonder they have been taken over. If I could rate minus in a review... they would get one. I will now look for an ARB canopy, which I should have fitted, at least they sell spare parts.

CRAP!! – This piece of crap doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Rather by a tarp and saving yourself the headache for having to deal with these monkeys.

Absolute rubbish – I’ve had to replace the rear window twice since the brittle plastic had cracked and the window locks fell out. Also, the plastic at the bottom of the rear window cracks. The paint is shocking, my car has been parked in the shade in a car port and the clear coat has flaked off. I contacted Flexiglass in Perth and initially had a good response, then ghosted. Would not answer emails of phone calls. The product is rubbish, don’t buy it or trust them. Show details

Misinformation – Checked catalog for canopy for ford pk ranger, indicated flexsport canopy was available for pk ranger. When I phoned Tullamarine branch I was told that model had been discontinued. If that is the case remove it from the catalog. Waste of time chasing it up.

Terrible customer service – Ordered a canopy in July. They made the wrong one. Now still waiting for new one. So being a trade can’t even work out of my new car as I can’t carry ladders without it.

Don’t use this company – Do not use this company, they don't even deserve one star. I bought a flexiglass canopy through Aeroklas Brendale. The order was placed incorrectly by them requiring the window to be reordered which took months and months. Once installed the window leaked everytime it rained. I received no response from them about having it replaced even though… Read more

it was within months of it being installed. The gas struts also rusted and the brake light had water in it. I had to go through the office of fair trading to get a reply from them about fixing the problems. The second window also leaked and had to be replaced again. The struts have rusted again and continuously come off their ball bearing, meaning the back window wont stay up. It is impossible to get an email reply or a phone call answered by their office and i have had to go back to the office of fair trading about them.

I have never regretted buying off a company as much as i do this company.

Ordered Keys for Our New Company Ute - Never got them!! – This has been the worst service I have EVER had. We ordered keys for our new company vehicle and paid for them to be express posted, we were advised that they would be sent in 2 days. 2 weeks later the keys had not arrived. I called and was told that they were not sent as we had not paid our invoice. I sent the receipt and upon further… Read more

investigation we were told the reason they could not see the paid invoice was because we had entered an incorrect reference number - Mind you, it was the reference number that was on the quote...

The guy on the phone said that it happens all the time as it's a generic reference number!!! He's exact words were "It's not the first time it's happened and it won't be the last" What the?.... If it happens all the time, then FIX IT!

Once the invoice problem was rectified, I asked the guy if he could please send the keys asap as we can't lock our work Ute which has all the tools in it, only to be told that the keys have now been LOST!!!

They did offer to get the barrels changed but as they over an hour away this meant that we would waste half a day getting there and having this sorted out as they were not willing to drive to us considering they have now lost the last 4 keys they had.

Today I called to advise that one of our technicians would go on Friday to get the barrels done only to be told that they have found the keys and sent them last Wednesday! Thanks for the call to let us know!

It is now Tuesday (5 days since they supposedly express posted them) and the keys have not arrived. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Flexiglass Flexisport Premium canopy – I asked my Ford dealer for a canopy with central locking to all windows (something like the ARB Ascent was my exact words) when I purchased my new Ford Ranger Wildtrak earlier this year thinking it would probably be like the Ford branded one on display in the dealership at the time. Instead, this is the heap of junk I ended up with. The Flexiglass… Read more

Flexisport canopy has been nothing but trouble from day one. On delivery I noticed a poorly fitting rear tailgate hatch, but was assured by the dealer the rubbers just needed to settle in. Three months later the rear tailgate hatch still fits so poorly that rodents can easily get in through the massive gap between the Ute tailgate and canopy tailgate, it seems the rubbers are merely for decoration as they don't even come close to meeting to do anything important like perhaps letting water, dust or a small dog in.

I can literally see the cars following me through the gaps in my rear-view mirror, I can't wash the car without everything inside the tub getting wet and the amount of dust that gets in through those rodent sized gaps is ludicrous.... It's like someone is following me with a wheelbarrow and shoveling dirt into the tub.

After complaining to the company my ford dealer used to supply and fit the canopy (TJM) about this obvious shortcoming, the company assures me they are all like this.... Although I have photos of the same canopy fitted to an Amarok that has an almost identical profile tub tailgate that suggests otherwise- No gaps!

You'd think this would be the biggest flaw of this canopy design, but no, the best is yet to come. The rear tailgate lock is complete garbage. After several days of enjoying my new vehicle (and a tub full of stray dogs that snuck in through the gaps) I discovered the rear tailgate no longer locked. Not with the car key fob, or using the actual key in the lock barrel.

The issue is apparently with a brass pin in the mechanism jamming and preventing the lock from working. I've now had it fixed five times, and with the exception of the fourth attempt where the whole mechanism was replaced which worked for two whole weeks, none of the fixes have lasted more than 10 hours.... Every time, the very next day after being “fixed” it’s already stopped working again.

In the three months the canopy has been on my Ute, I've been able to lock it for just over two weeks. Awesome. In all honesty, a tarp with holes in will provide far more security and dust and water proofing than this canopy. The fifth attempt at fixing it occurred just yesterday, by this morning it again refused to lock.

If it weren’t for the fact that it usually takes 1-2 weeks to get it booked in for repairs it could have easily been fixed 70+ times by now. Tomorrow I'm demanding my dealer take it off and replace it with a different brand that can be locked (for more than 10 hours at a time, before a two week wait to get it fixed again), and without rodent sized holes between it's rubbers.

In summary, do not buy a Flexiglass Flexisport canopy if you value your time and sanity. 1 star is being generous, but there's no option to go lower.

Good Aussie company – Recently had a canopy fitted to my Navara NP300, took about 2 hrs. Staff were friendly and professional. One thing I noticed in the strut size on the windows, way too small guys.. I'm about 5,10 and when i open the side windows its perfect forehead height, not too good when camping. I replaced the struts with some after market ones, raised the… Read more

windows by about 50 mm. no dramas.. you should consider some longer ones in your design as the existing is pretty ordinary. Overall, doesn't leak, looks good, demister is all ok..
