bad card – I got the the sim before traveling and it worked for 6 days only. no warning. I wrote to the Flexiroam and ask for money back, but they didn't agree to return any money back instead they offer me more data which was after i got back home. also I think it was very expensive. my partner bought sim card with data and phone calls for 20$ AU. Don't waste time and money on such rubbish – Brought Flexiroam esim 5gb package. Activate and log in network perfectly . The little trouble is the esim is 3g network data only. Only 113kb consumed in half hour. So it is totally useless. Show details

A total scam – The product is a scam. They have a list of included countries and then AFTER you buy the product they remove some of the countries . This is effectively stealing if you need to use for one of the removed countries . And when you complain - they don’t care - say their T&C’s allow them to do that. It’s outrageous . DO NOT buy this product - it is a total scam Show details

Avoid at all costs – Horrible. Wasted an hour of my holiday trying to get this connected in the UK. They will not refund me. Avoid at all costs. Show details
Finally, they agreed to refund me after i threatened to go to the Department of Consumer Affairs. Refund will take 14 days!
No customer service. What a joke! – Tried to activate plan while overseas. Was asked for endless verification documents which was originally submitted when purchased. After submitting these through chatbot, no response.... Ended up purchasing data from local. I never use Flexiroam again! Show details
I was contacted by support and plan was eventually activated.
Buy traditional data packages to save money and stress – Bought on Emirates flight so that I had data ad soon as I arrived. After fighting with it I have up on the offered free started data and bought a package. Big problem is that you need to buy roaming data to download the app 26mb before you can install. I did find the option to scan the barcode but the code was not recognised, nor when typed in. … Read more
In some of the registration pages it wants you to read a QR code which is not helpful when you only have a mobile that you are trying to install it on. The alternative is an email link which does something but not sure what although you will get the emails a few hours taking you back to the not recognised code problem.
I emailed support but 24h on there is no response.
I think the app is running an esim with paid for data and the 60USD physical sim in the phone is doing nothing.
I am only travelling for 3 days so would have saved about 100usd and a lot of stress by just buying the UK EE daily data packages.
Most upsetting is that Emirates are peddling this, at best very poor product and more emotionally more like a scam.

Illegal refund policies – They outright lie in regards to their coverage in certain countries. Flexiroam is a Malaysian company and their refund policy is in direct violation of Malaysian costumer protection laws. According to the "Malaysia's Consumer Protection Act 1999" you are entitled to a full refund regardless of what they say. Don't settle for 'in-app credit' that… Read more
you will never use. That is how the get to keep your money. If this happens to you tell them you fill file a CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) complaint. You will get your money back. Also please do file the complaint. If enough people file them the Malaysian authorities will fine them and force them to change their illegal refund policies.

Actually pretty good – I signed up from the app, which was a simple process. The data rates are way cheaper than my global roaming plan with Telstra. Installing the eSIM on my Google Pixel was a seamless process and I'm looking forward to using it more while I travel. Show details · 1

Great customer service – I needed help getting my Sim. Contacted customer service through the app. They were super quick and helpful with getting me set up. Really satisfied
No issues with flexi roam – Used Europe region in Cyprus and Greece no issues. Like how u can transfer data to other members of the family which is a great plus. Also used the global whilst stop over in Doha and worked seamlessly Always sending deals so recommend to buy at least 20% discount to maximise price. Would use again Show details
Reliable and Essential Travel Service – I recently used this service during my trip to New Zealand, and it was fantastic! The service was seamless, and everything worked perfectly, just like it did when I used it in Thailand, the UK, and France. Terrible Experience. Be careful! – Terrible experience with this app.be careful!! I used this a few months before and it took a lot of time to make it work. This time, I paid for 3GB ahead of my trip as data to use on my 5 day vacation. Got there, surprised it didn't work. Contacted them, they kept escalating to some "technical team" that never contacted me. I kept contacting… Read more
everyday until I got back from vacation. All they said was its not our problem you didn't use it, we can refund to your wallet. Never using this again. Update: They finally refunded my amount to my card after I told them I will write a review minus a service charge. Still wont use them ever again.

Local SIMs Cheaper And With More Benefits – Purchased a Flexiroam sim because of its promise to cover the six countries I needed on a recent holiday. I could not get it to work in any country I visited despite re-trying the simple instructions several times. I found purchasing a sim locally in a country when required was the best and worked out cheaper buying several local sims for the… Read more
price of the Flexiroam sim. Not only were the local sims totally cheaper, but they came with huge data capacity and several minutes of free telephone calls which was a great bonus. From now on I will be buying local sims.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM FLEXIROAM – If I could give negative stars I would. Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! I bought an eSIM, it did not work, customer service is atrocious beginning with a terrible chatbot who takes hours to reply and then when you don’t reply within a few seconds they close the chat. Then it will take you 50+ emails to request a refund, only for… Read more
them to muck you around and tell you that “its been processed” (which I highly doubt as no refund has come through weeks later). Terrible product, terrible service. Buy something else.
Avoid flexiroam – Was issued a free 3GB sim from mastercard. For use in Europe. Didn't work when installed, didn't activate. After 3 hours on the chat service, it said it was active and working. But no it never worked, total waste of time. Would recommend never using flexiroam. Show details

Remember LTE - I do because that's FlexiRoam's service in Vietnam – I spent a week in Vietnam for work. I had a free FlexiRoam from Mastercard so thought to give it a fair trial. iPhone 14. Others have mentioned the app. Getting actually connected was more complex than it should have been but after several attempts I got it working. Then to find the best network I could get in Hai Phong (Vietnam's 3rd city) was… Read more
LTE was shocking.
LTE - I googled it and there are claims it is "3.95G" more like 3.05G.
If that's all they have it is not even worth a free trial.

It has been great so far – I have a few that I purchased. 3 eSims and 2 normal sims. Just a couple of months ago my elderly mother went to Bali for a week with family and had no issues at all. My son is in Europe at the moment and hasn't finished his holiday as yet as he is planning on staying not just in Europe but wherever the wind takes him. So we originally got… Read more
global data to be safe and once he decides to stay in a certain country he has the option to buy data just for that country hes at as it works out cheaper in many cases.
The good thing was when he arrived in Netherlands for example, he bought 5 GB of data for that country. I was worried that Flexiroam would use the dearer than Netherlands data first, but it doesn't. It picked up the Netherlands one and put that in front of the Global Data and if he accidently ran out before topping up more of the Country hes at, it will use the Global Data ensuring that you never run out unless you have no data of any kind.
So he's been to four or five now and not a problem.
I for one have not used mine as of yet. Oh, as I have quite a few GB's ready to go on the Global Data (doesn't expire until 1 year, or for example you havent used it for 6 months, you can top up a GB or two and it will extend to a year from that purchase you just made) I can transfer mine to my sons instantly on the app FlexiroamX which is fantastic in my opinion. As long as you have the other persons account number and name, you can transfer it to anyone you want.
Can't wait to test ours out soon and Im confident that all will be good.

A travel essential, good online support – I have been using Flexiroam for several years. I have used it in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and in Singapore, Dubai, Chile, Equador, Peru and Japan. been quite surprised to see so many negative reviews. I would suggest that it is not that easy for someone who isn’t a bit tech savvy to work out how to use it and set it up. But the help channel, and the instructions online are good. It’s quite expensive, but I’ve had a great experience overall on my travels. I would love it if it were possible to make calls, but I understand that it is a data only service at this time.
Difficult connection no service in Chile – Purchased a S America eSim, making sure it covered Argentina and Chile where I was visiting. When I got back into Argentina I did not get a service. Was provided with… Read more
another esim and spent quite a while getting it activated. I would definitely NOT use this product again. The price was not my concern, just the difficulty in activating a service. I'm sure there are far better options.

Terrible connectivity and service – Tried to use the eSIM in Mexico and it was useless. Poor connectivity – The first experience of using a FlexiRoam eSIM while travelling around Spain was very poor. The internet connectivity on Movistar was extremely patchy and kept disconnecting even in major cities like Barcelona and San Sebastian that should supposedly have strong coverage. Thankfully I also had a global AirALO eSIM which worked perfectly every time when/where FlexiRoam fell on its face. No second chance for FlexiRoam. Uninstall. Show details

really poor experience – tried flexiroam as a result of the 1gb promotion for mastercard world elite members. the app seems like it was made in 2013 its not user friendly. the steps to activate and the details of the promotion are nowhere so you just keep continuing on the steps to realize that the sim is already activated and expires in just 3 days. my trip is next week.… Read more
find it very misleading and deceptive for this company to advertise but essentially ensuring the person is going to end up wasting the 1gb by leading the customer to activate upon signing up. really poor experience will go with airalo and pay for their services instead what a waste of my time!
