I've been with Flow Power for 3 months and I'm STILL waiting on a meter upgrade so that my solar exports can be tracked. I have not been able to contact Flow Power by phone or e-mail. I also can't get in touch with their meter installation team "Green Metering", who answer the phone with a terrible GenAI bot. When I did manage to get through to… Read more

Flow Power, they tell me they don't know when they can install the meter. I have been kept perpetually waiting with no way to access their advertised solar feed-in tariff (which I'm sure is the only thing anyone looking to join Flow Power is interested in).

Even when I reached out to the ombudsman, Flow Power ignored their request to contact me. The only reason I'm still staying around is to wait for the outcome of the ombudsman investigation (who have a backlog of 6-8 weeks). If you need help from the ombudsman, not that it's not going to happen anytime soon.

If you already have solar + battery + smart meter set up, you'll still have to deal with contacting Flow Power to pay out the feed-in tariff. All in all, they can get away with these poor practices because our ombudsman and regulators are too disinterested to punish them. Avoid Flow Power.

Tried to ring to get an understanding of how their rates compare to amber and what my specific bill would look like after signing up, given that I have an energy efficient house, an EV and a battery, and they dont even take phone enquiries. It is not good customer service to provide a complicated product with multiple options and then have no one to talk to about it. But maybe it makes them cheaper - I guess I won't find out. Show details

The CUSTOMER SERVICE of Flow Power is NON EXISTENT. Maybe its run by BOTS or AI. I've tried calling Flow Power many times for further information and clarity on the service they are claiming to offer and have left many messages for a call back. No one bothers to have the decency of getting back to me and guess what. YOU CAN STICK YOUR BUSINESS, YOU KNOW WHERE. Show details

I/we were connected to Energy Australia for both electricity and gas to our home and based on a suggestion/advice I received we reviewed then decided to switch to Flow Power (who do NOT offer gas supply rates) as our electricity provider regarding potential savings on the three main pricing categories which were I felt significantly cheaper… Read more

overall comparing the two offers eg : 1 the daily service charge, 2 the peak power rate cost, 3 the off peak power rate plus we received a $150 sign on bonus for a $50 discount for the first three bills paid monthly by direct debit so I urge other people to review and compare the prices on these three cost areas. I found the daily service charge to our home with Energy Australia was listed at $$1:403600 per day, the peak usage rate was $0.4184620 per kw hour and the daily off peak $0.2451570

Therefore I suggest anyone reviewing power supplies to your home should review and compare the daily supply charge and the peak and off peak kw per hour costs as there are savings to be had

I compared the Energy Australia rate to the one offered by Flow Power for $0.9708 for the daily supply charge (so immediate savings) and $0.31.70 cents per kw h during the entire off peak hours with no off peak variation charge higher/lower as we considered when the differences were monitored the price of electricity overall was lower and as we are concession card holders received applicable discounts related to the benefits we received plus the company is Australian. Our first monthly bill was $97 plus cents, the second bill was $32 plus cents including concession discounts so we believe we are saving money already

A current review and check on the current offer (8 April 2026) from Flow Power shows an offer of $300 as a sign on offer deducted monthly from the electricity bill deducted over 12 months

Should anyone consider changing electricity providers and considering Flow Power, sign on is electronic via an app forwarded to you and customers sign on electronically, it is seamless and I found a good company to deal with

As the owner of solar panels and a battery, I was interested in having Flow Power as my energy provider. Their rates looked very competitive and they have an excellent feed-in tariff in the evening, so I could charge my battery during the day and export power at night. I had several questions that I wanted to ask before signing up, so I tried… Read more

using the chat facility on Flow's website. Despite typing in several messages over the course of an hour, then trying again a couple of hours later, not one of my messages was responded to.

So I then filled in the contact form on their website and posed my questions there. I did receive an email back from them, but it was automated and simply asked me to use the chat facility on their website if I had any questions. As I knew the chat facility wasn't being manned, that didn't help. They gave one other option - reply to that email with any questions I had. So I did that, but upon hitting Send I got a non-delivery notice as the email address they used was invalid.

As I can't get any answers to my questions, I won't be joining them. In addition, according to their website, if you want to be paid any credit that you have on your electricity account (earned through solar exports,) then you simply need to use the website chat facility to ask for payment to be sent to you. Given that the chat doesn't work, I fear that you may never get paid any credit owed to you.

I emailed Flow to get more information early on- no reply. Signed up because of the 45c fit. Emailed twice about meter upgrade - no reply. 5 weeks after signing up I've left. Amber was the same - customer service is non-existent. Sorry, that's not good enough. BTW I also learned these guys will charge you to export off-peak based with their… Read more

pricing model and given the lack of curtailment that will cost you. I'd avoid this provider until they improve on a multiple fronts

Very complex pricing (I am still trying to understand it) I understand energy prices have risen steeply of late, but since moving to flow power my August bill rose by nearly $20 from 2024, and by more than $20 on the September bill. Their plug in device they supply to give you live coverage of your power usage no longer works. To top it off, their… Read more

sales team contacted me trying to sell me a battery. It was competently priced so I asked for more details. Now about 6 weeks on they have still failed to act on my enquiry. One of the most incompetent companies I have ever dealt with, and will be moving on from them very quickly

You can enter in your details and your query but there is NO submit button to send yuour query to the company. I don't think this is normal. When you press the Enter Key in text box the cursor goes the next line. Either the company does not want spam questions over the weekend or they forgot to design the Submit button. I'm hoping its the former.
