Credit card fraud has occurred two out of two occassions dealing with the Fort Knox storage facility located in Scoresby. Fort Knox managment asserts that their credit card facility is encrypted and therefore it cannot the culprit. If this is true, then it means one of thier employees is manually using the card details to commit fraud, or thier… Read more

server is bveing hacked. Either way it should be investigated. However, Fort Knox refuse to investigate the matter, even though credit card fraud was attempted on our credit card within days of transcacting with Fort Knox on two (from two - 100%) occassions; fraud was attempted on the 26th of May four days after the 22nd transaction, and on the 5th July, the day after the 4th July transaction!

Additionally, in the second transaction we noted that the credit card details were taken three times and input on differing systems. This is extremely unprofessional, as one merchant system should be used for all transactions, including borrowing of the van deposit. I will note that a business violates merchant payment systems (Visa/ M/C) contracts to keep unencrypted credit card details on site, which could easily be occurring if credit card details are taken down again and again. We noted afterward that we should keep an eye open over the next few days for fraud. Little did we actually expect that THE NEXT DAY we were contacted by the bank for a fraudulent transaction.

Credit card fraud has occurred for us twice in the previous 15 years, and now twice in a couple of months, within days of dealing with Fort Knox Scoresby to borrow thier van! Yet Fort Knox management absurdly claims this is only a coincidence and refuses to investigate.

Attempted credit card fraud is extremely time consuming and inconvenient as one has to wait a week for a new card and then all direct debit providers have to be recontacted and reapplied to the new card. Insurances, registrations and health cover payments are stopped and extra fees apply, all because a thief want to buy a $29.99 shirt from Gymatt.

One of the reasons we signed up with Fort Knox was for free use of the onsite van to move items in and out of storage. However, if borrowing the van results in credit card fraud on each occassion, then this ends up being very costly, time consuming, and inconvenient.

Think twice before dealing with Fort Knox, especially to borrow their van.
