When I arrived back, the washing machine was downstairs ( unit on 2nd floor) & a large potted tree also left downstairs. My Partner told me the guys said it wouldn’t fit. She also overheard then chuckling & making comments on how ‘easy’ that job was overall. I was 4 months post surgery from having a hip replacement & I’m 59 years old. I grabbed a friend who was a 16 year old kid really & him & I managed to get both items up the stairs & into their respective Locations. It wasn’t easy but 59 & 16 year olds…… what would you expect.? Some minor paintwork scuffing & wall damages were thrown in for free as well. Tell me what the F*#k is wrong with this picture??? They were paid professionals to do a professional job. I was ticked off she actually paid them after their disgraceful efforts. Expect a good review then do what you are paid to do & don’t take advantage of Women especially because that’s exactly what they did.

considered to be a reasonable monthly rate. I returned today intending to rent a unit and was surprised to be told that the price was now approximately $60 per month higher. What disappointed me just as much as the price increase was the customer service. I found the staff member at the front counter unfriendly and dismissive of my concerns about such a significant increase in only five weeks. His response was essentially that this is how it is. I then called National Storage's head office to clarify the situation. I was told that their storage arrangements are on a month-to-month basis, that the rate is not locked in, and, when I specifically asked about future increases, I was not given any assurance that there was a limit on how much the monthly rate could increase. Based on what I was told, I decided not to proceed with renting a unit. I was particularly concerned because someone could potentially be overseas or otherwise unable to easily move their belongings if their storage costs increased substantially. I have since contacted two other storage providers. One offered to lock in the quoted rate for 12 months and another local provider offered a six-month fixed rate. Everyone can make their own decision, but based on my experience and the contractual terms explained to me, I would not use National Storage. I strongly recommend that anyone considering renting a unit asks specifically how long the quoted rate is guaranteed for and what protection, if any, they have against future price increases before signing up.

the cost had gone up $50 a month. The email sent to announce this increase was exactly the same every time; increase in running costs. You cannot look at your goods easily, 48 hours notice is required and you can only go between 9-5 during the week and 9-11 Saturdays. If you do choose to use this service, cover everything well as the containers are just wooden crates and are very dirty. There are no contracts, they take debit card details for initial collection payment but then continue to use this rather than setting up a direct debit (that you control). I was told it would cost $500 to have my goods returned, which I refused to pay and collected my filthy goods myself one Saturday morning. No help from any of the men who were hanging around at the end of the warehouse. The containers were placed outside on a patch of dirt so lucky it did not rain. By the time i removed my goods the price had gone from $89 per month to $189 per month. For a wooden crate at the back of a wooden warehouse. The crates were locked with a cheap padlock that you could probably pull off with a hard yank. No security that I could see. I am glad I got my belongings back but I wasted a lot of money and now have to make sure no other charges are taken, as I spoke to the bank and all they can do is query any amount once it’s come out. I think Product Review should make it very obvious when a company has a high rating that is due to paid reviews. If you need to store goods, pay a bit more for a reputable company and have peace of mind and security.

A special mention also goes to our driver, Jenny, who made what could have been a very stressful moving experience feel effortless. She was patient, understanding, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Many companies in this industry seem focused on charging customers for every minute and treating the process as purely transactional. Rent A Space Bella Vista was the complete opposite. They genuinely cared about helping me, reducing the stress of the move, and finding solutions that worked for my situation.

What stood out most was that every interaction felt personal. Everyone always had a smile on their face, treated me with respect, and made me feel valued as a customer rather than just another number. It’s clear that this team prioritises customer experience over simply maximising revenue, which is something that has become increasingly rare.

This is the standard of service that competitors should be striving for, but in my experience, they don’t even come close.

Kennards customer for more than half a decade in both South Australia and New South Wales, with storage in two different states. I don't give reviews unless I genuinely mean it, and I carefully observe people.

Ms Kerry and Mr Daniel are true leaders who have courage to do the RIGHT thing. From the first time I met them, they both had a natural aura of authority — you behave properly, with respect. They have a natural boss presence, but what touched my heart most was their humanity.

At the time, I was running away from a domestic-violence partner who left me in a kiosk; I was emotionally in pain and needed to move all my things. It was a very hard situation. Mr Daniel approached me on the day I was moving my things and personally asked me if I was okay. He has a naturally compassionate heart — when he asked, I knew he meant it. I was crying inside because I knew someone genuinely cared, as in shared humanity.

On a day when I couldn't see anything good in my life and was thinking of ending my life, Ms Kerry, who was in the elevator, smiled at me, said, "Hey, how are you?" called my name, and told me I am a lovely person. On that day, she had no idea she saved me.

The following day, when Ms Kerry saw me in my storage, she probably saw me organising my storage and crying. She said very politely, "I am doing my rounds — are you okay?" She has no idea she didn't just save me once, she saved me twice.

Both Mr Daniel and Ms Kerry gave me dignity at the worst look of myself. They both look so professional and strong, and yet they both saw me and gave me respect that no one else did.

Mr Stuart, who was previously Manager, also touched my heart, but he is not there anymore. I was very surprised to learn Ms Kerry is only Assistant Manager — when I asked her, she told me for all 3 previous jobs she was actually the Manager. I told her personally that I am truly amazed how she remembered my name. She told me she naturally remembers faces and names, and I told her that I truly genuinely value the day she called me by my name by the elevator. I hope Kennards Storage management sees the great leadership of Ms Kerry, who saved me that day, and Mr Daniel, who showed leadership with a combination of intelligence and a compassionate heart — confident leaders with good hearts, authority with kindness.

Mr Stuart is gone — before he left, he said I will love Ms Kerry, he was the one who did the interview for her. I hope God is guiding Mr Stuart and now Mr Stuart is not working in Kennards anymore, I hope while Ms Kerry and Mr Daniel are still working in Kennards Storage, I truly hope the management will give the recognition that Ms Kerry and Mr Daniel both deserve, before is too late.

They are the leaders at Kennards Storage Parramatta who save lives — reasonable, intelligent, with great human kindness and a compassionate heart. They run the centre day-to-day with ownership, they make reasonable and fair decisions; they give respect and dignity equally to everyone and help make you feel valued and seen. They deserve to be Managers and to train many other leaders from different branches — they already act like it, and I wish all Kennards Storage leaders would follow their life-changing leadership.

The truth is, since Mr Stuart was gone I was aiming to close my storage, but since Ms Kerry and Mr Daniel treated me with dignity and saved me, not only did I decide to continue, I also recommended Kennards to a few of my friends who have now opened storage units with the help of Ms Kerry.

The truth is, all the time I have been thinking, without the help of Ms Kerry and Mr Daniel at the time I was in a hopeless situation and I didn't know what to do, when the minute I passed by Ms Kerry at the elevator, all the time I have been thinking I don't know what could have happened to me that time.

Now, I am getting better, getting help from a private mental health facility and slowly getting back to myself — as a reminder from Ms Kerry, in time things will get better and if I truly want to change myself for the better I have to learn that no one will do it for me, I have to learn how to love and help myself as no one will do it for me.

While I was having a life-changing conversation yesterday with Ms Kerry, to personally thank her with Ms Kerry's wisdom and life-changing advice, at the back of my mind she doesn't know that she and Mr Daniel are leaders that save lives.

joke. I tried to cancel my father’s storage as he has gone into a nursing home and does not want storage anymore as all his money goes to the nursing home. I have enduring power of attorney for my father but they refused to look at it or cancel it. I said I’d bring my father in & that wasn’t good enough either. They want a letter from the home to say he’s gone in there & an email from my dad’s email account saying he wants to cancel. Unfortunately my dad does not remember his email details & hasn’t been able to use his account for years, & I told them this . I said the email would come from my email address as that’s the only one we use for dad as I receive all correspondence to me. I’ve had no problem with using my power of attorney anywhere else including the nursing home. My father is not in a state to deal with this so it has to be done by me. I am the only one to handle all my dad’s affairs. I now have to contact the nursing home & ask them to write a letter stating dad is in a home, then, I can only send an email from my account so it is in writing & hope this will be enough to cancel it!

a delivery drivers was fine, everything went smoothly, I really like how the designated dates of pick up and drop off accurate, Clearly communicated to you, and not unpredictable. The only downside, which is understandable due to the large distance being travelled, is that you have to figure out what to do for two weeks without furniture, because despite their best efforts to give you accurate pick up and drop off dates, it’s still doesn’t address your personal need for a place to stay and furniture/bedding in the meantime whilst you wait for your POD to arrive at your destination. Bear in mind, this was for Brisbane to Adelaide, quite a far interstate move. It may be a shorter wait time for short distances. Long story short, I would definitely recommend PODS, The only issue you need to figure out is whether or not you should book an Airbnb/hotel/stay with family/friends in the interim! Oh, almost forgot to mention, the cost saving that you get. I imagine is because they don’t help you load or secure the stuff in the pod at all. So make sure you have some muscle/elbow grease/friends/family ready to help you pack heavy stuff like fridges and couches, etc.
