Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch HR

Useless smart watch! – Fossil say the watch syncs with the phone as long it's within 10 meter range. Since I bought it, it only syncs when the phone is in my hand. Called fossil who said there need to be absolutely no parries between the watch and phone, not even a wall for it to sync. What a shame!!!
Purchased in for $130.
Hi Alexandra,
If you read my review up there you will notice that I have already contacted customer care team and my feedback is what they told me.
Hi Raf, If you would like to provide your case number with our Team we would like to review the notes so that we look into this further.
There was no case number given, it was one call and the agent gave me the answer in the phone and hang up
Hi Raf, on the understanding that you do not have a 'case number', we would need either your phone number or email to look up the details regarding your conversation with our Team. We would be happy to look into this for you if you would like to email these details to customercare.au@fossil.com
Not So Smart Watch – Regular smart watches display blank screens, when not in use. For lovers of old style analogue watches, this is boring! Hybrid smart watches combine regular analogue watch hands with screens which normally have to be turned on by tapping the screen or rotating your wrist & only stay on for a few seconds, to save battery power. The Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch HR uses a different type of monochrome screen (E paper display) which uses little power when not updating the information on display. This allows the 'digital display' to always stay on & has really great visibility in bright sunlight. The faces can be changed using the Fossil app that can be downloaded from the playstore. My version of the watch is the Collider Smoke HR & is a dark stainless steel color with a matching stainless steel band. I must say that this version look very smart & feels very substantial on my wrist. There are many styles for Men or Women available.
You can configure the watch to show 4 pieces of information such as day/date, steps, heart rate, weather etc. These are picked up via bluetooth from your smartphone. The watch can vibrate to inform you of notifications, phone calls etc. The top & bottom buttons can be configured to show calendar events, reminders, messages etc. I don't find these very useful as my old eyes find it hard to read the small fonts on the screen! Battery life is very good at over 7 days & the watch will charge in about 1 hour, using the supplied usb charging dock.
For someone like me, who only needs the basic smartphone functions Heart Rate, Steps, Weather, day/date etc. & likes a great looking conventional analogue watch looks, this is a great compromise. I have generally 'fallen out of love' fairly quickly with smart watches, but this one makes me happy every time I look at it!
Hi Kev, Thank you for leaving your review of the Fossil HR Collider in Smoke ! you have pretty much summed up all the great features incorporated into the Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch which suits those who prefer the look of an analogue watch with some smart capabilities.
