Fotofriends

FotoFreinds – I bought a canon lens 24 - 105 mm from fotofriends in 2012. Cost about $990. The lens has just been repaired by canon for $470!!!. The lens was not covered by warranty as i have now found out it was a "grey" import. I had an extended warranty with a sydney camera repair company. When i contacted them i was told they were chasing (unsuccessfully) monies owed by fotofriends who now seemed to have disappeared. Buyer beware!!!

Fotofriends do not respond – I was going to buy a camera from them but they don't answer their phone or reply to email enquiries. Maybe they have closed down. If you don't live in Sydney and can't physicallt check if they are still operating, I suggest you do not pay any money until they respond. prices were very good for DSLRs they are not contactable
