Excellent customer service – After a terrible experience with one of the two well known carpet installers. Our deposit was returned so we could start the process again and fowlers had carpet installed within a week of us paying a deposit. Clare was great to deal with and we would happily use them again. Our flooring looks abysmal – The photos attached are what our "luxury" vinyl planks installed by Fowler's look like. These gaps are Perhaps I am unreasonable, but this doesn't look very luxury to me. flooring, but these gaps are continuing to occur.
Between Karndean, Fowler's (the installer) and the builder Midstate Homes no-one will take ownership of this defect, now the general consensus between them appears to be that flooring like this is acceptable and we just have to accept it as it's "within tolerances" (despite these tolerances not being produced in any way shape or form).
This issue has been ongoing for nearly two years now and it has not been resolved satisfactorily. We've been patient and given them all ample opportunity for it to be fixed, and it hasn't been, and now it appears to be all too hard for Karndean / Fowler's / Midstate Homes to deal with so they're throwing their hands up and telling us to live with it.
So with that being the case, i'm involving Fair Trading and then NCAT and we'll see how that plays out, but in the meantime, I'd advise you be very careful if you're thinking about engaging with any of the above vendors.
Very happy with installation and product – We have just had Karndean Laminate flooring panels put down in our house. They look very nice and the showroom had a great selection of colours and different brands as well. and he's done a really good job and it looks very professional. Our floor was very damaged after pulling up the old tiles and he came a few days in advance to pour a levelling solution over it. He then puts boards down and the laminate over that. In our house the installation took just over 1 day. It's way too early to comment on how the flooring wears but so far we are very happy and would recommend the company and this product to anyone. It's much better than the click to fit wooden boards I have previously installed in another area.
Good service and products – Bought laminate floor covering. Got excellent product, 12 mm thick for only $29.90 per square meter. Organized an good installer and within a week we had old carpets removed and laminate floting floor installed. They have a extensive stock with a good range vinyl, bambo and laminate floor covering as well as carpets Good service
