No refunds, no honor – Trash company. I made a preorder and a few hours later changed my mind and politely asked for a refund and they refused.
Modbury heights are great – As it's a franchise owned by a small family i'd love to give a great review to the location at modbury heights. Con was great and I managed to find some big box PC games there and at very decent prices unlike the crooks at Cash Converters Modbury. I know some of the other game traders franchises can be dodgy but this store had that old school… Read more
feeling and being served by the owner who showed a genuine passion for games and seeing someone come in with expensive games and given fair prices for them considering they had to resale is pretty rare.
Will keep coming back and supporting this great family.
Watch out when selling items to game traders – Game traders if very friendly and have moderate to good prices. But before you sell them old consoles and old game. Look up how much it's worth. Game traders gave me $30 for my old Atari with 10 games. Plus I now know 2 of the games were worth over $800.
CLICKY! – When I asked the manager if they were hiring, he just told me that "ah we only hire people that know the people working here..." Not diverse at all for job seekers if they aren't apart of a clique.
Great! Wonderful customer service – My local store has great customer service, always remember a persons name and go out of their way to help a customer. At one stage they refused to sell a parent Cards against humanity when they realised it was for her 7 year old son. Recommend to everyone!
over and above the call of duty – Went in after a terrible experience with another store and they guys were very helpful. More than happy to try and order something and if they could not access it were very happy to refer you to someone who could. Would recommend this store to anyone.
Always look here first – I love the range of retro games these guys carry. My local store is generally the only games store I go into. Their staff are always happy to help and are very opinionated on upcoming games/consoles etc. They are also the only games store I know of that trades for cash instead of having to trade for other games, and G card holders get discounts on… Read more
every game they buy. The only downfall is they can get very busy and as they only have two registers it can sometimes take longer to have the sale put through than look for what you want. Staff are great, range is excellent, members recieve discounts Can get very busy, retro stuff (especially N64) can be dearer than expected
Game On! – I have only recently discovered Game traders at marion as my children are now into nintendo games and often like to go and look to see what's new. To my amazement this store not only features games but a lot of memorabilia relating to the games like toys and clothing. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and seem to know everything there… Read more
is about all the games. From Glee to Mario Brothers there is something in the store for everyone.
They have a loyalty program which is free to join with instant discounts on purchases. They will also price match to other stores.
They feature a facebook page with all their latest updates and new game releases. Competitions, giveaways and direct connection on the facebook page to anyone with questions.
This store also has interactive theme's and workshops from 'how to play' new beginners to the more advanced tournament players.
So for a great deal with friendly knowledgeable staff and a great deal. Head on down to Game Traders Marion. Even in busy times they seem to make sure everyone is seen. I am often in there with young children and I fastly get attention from someone just seeing if I need any help with anything. It can be very busy at times, because it is so popular but with a little patience you will be served.
