Garage Doors 4U

My rolladoor required a service just before Christmas 2025. I found a company - Garage Doors 4 U - through yellow pages. When I booked the service, I was told there was no call-out fee and that the technician would quote a price for the repairs before commencing work. He did NOT do this and charged $1402.00 - almost 3 times the amount a local repairer would have charged.

I costed the parts replaced online and found I could have bought them for around $200.00. I contacted a local repairer who said he would have charged around the $500.00 mark.

When I tried to contact the Company, I could not get past the Call Centre of their mother company Everserve. I took the matter to Fair Trading, who also could not speak to any manager personally. I was extremely disappointed with their after-sales service.

This company provides a prompt efficient repair service. If that is what you need and cost isn’t an issue, go ahead. I give them a rating of 1 star simply because that is NOT my situation. If they had quoted the price beforehand, I would have simply told them to not continue.
