Compact size, decent price, accurate tracking – The Garmin Forerunner 220 has become my daily running companion. I live in a rural area and it does take quite a while to pick up a signal. But with that out of the way, there is nothing else I can fault. It tracks my route quite accurately and I love how I can see the distance covered, time taken and pace on the split screen. I had always previously used an ordinary stopwatch but now I won't look back.

I use the Strava app every day to see where my friends have run and how far they've gone. The display could be a little bigger but I am happy to have the more compact and unobtrusive size of this over a larger display. I have also found the lap counter handy for when I am occasionally on the track. For the next model I would like to see an improvement in battery life. But, for now I am very pleased with my 220 and hope to continue using it for a few years yet!

Not expensive running watch – The battery on this watch lasts a long time. If you want to use the GPS mode, then it lasts about 7-8 hours. Just enough to finish marathon. I use this watch for run/walk interval during my marathon. The colour selection isn't much. Waterproof also. I have taken it to Spartan races, snorkelling, not diving yet.

great smart watch – while I realise Fitbit is not what I want, I got my new smart watch Garmin forerunner. The most important key about smart watch is the batter life. It lasts about a week without using GPS to navigate the activities but heart rate sensor all the time. I quite like it, as it is fashionable and light weight. I really don't feel anything while wearing on my wrist.

Excellent gadget for people who are serious about running – I purchased this watch because it offered a number of useful features such as GPS, vibrator and sound alerts, customised workouts, connectivity with Garmin's comprehensive web site, and a heart rate monitor. There are a numbers of good reviews of this watch online, and my experience has also been very positive. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in obtaining comprehensive stats about their runs and using that information to improve their fitness. GPS enabled, vibrating and sound alerts, connects with Garmin's comprehensive web site. A little on the expensive side, especially for casual runners.
