I do find that the manual is poorly written, hard to follow, lacks details and generally lets the product down. I am still finding month after buying functionality I didn't know that was there! Would I buy another Garmin, mostly definitely. Also a tip, while they do say waterproof, which I have found they are, note that the buttons do not like salt water and tend to stick and can become inoperable. I have returned one watch (within 30days of purchase) due to a button being stuck and becaming inoperable. So, be careful, run under water to clear out the salt water.
