One star doesn't deserve it! Booked for 8am, rocked up at 8pm, charged $800 for a small food delivery truck size 1km round the corner. Don't finish the job and have ghosted me! Wouldn't unload without payment. They moved 3 mattresses, 1 king bed base, 2 fridges, 2 bbq"s and a buffet unit only! Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Absolutely poor poor service.

house was packed up and ready for them to be removed and waiting on them.
Upon arrival they sent a medium truck after I had ordered a large truck knowing a large truck would have fit everything we needed to move. I have emails to prove this. I told the driver to get his boss on the phone I would like to speak with him.
I was told that the large truck was some where else been used for other job that they needed. So to start with they sent the wrong truck from the start, after what had booked for. My house is all packed up at this point, so I move half of my house with this meduim truck to new home.
After moving half a load to new house I speak with the movers boss again and his words we will be back tomorrow at 11am-12pm to move the rest of the house and I wont charge you depot to depot. Not even giving nothing off my current bill for not evening providing the right truck we needed to do just one load now am paying for two loads, and it gets better...
Next day we go back to our house in gold coast 1 hour away from were live now waiting for them to turn up, time passes its 1230 I call the number I received from the moves the day before to ask what time will you be here? The boss on the phone couldn't even give me a ETA on how long he would be let alone even if the job would be done today. At that point I made a decision to get someone else in to move the rest.
I find this very disappointing and disrespectful in the way that this was handled from this business, your time management and communication were so poor. Definitely to not recommend using this business to move your house. The amount of money and time we spend making up for your poor service makes me sick. doing half a job is unacceptable and made our exciting moving day frustrating to say the least.

truck until we paid $1700. We questioned hat happens if it doesn't cost this. Told we can "ask for our money back". The job worked out to be $1200. I have emailed 3 times, called several times and no one is responding or 'calling me back' like I have been promised. We are owed $500 from this company and it looks like they will get away with it! I am considering lodging a police report as it is theft and small claims court as they will do this over and over again. We were not provided with a receipt or timeline of our move. These guys will rip you off for money and you wont see it again!! We moved literally one suburb over. My husband and a friend had to help unload the truck as the movers were trying to drag out the time to unload. We just want our money owed refunded.

This company is atrocious, in brief, two young guys turned up 2 hours late in an old truck with no logo. Both were 'cowboys' and literally dragged my beautiful furniture to & from the truck. marks/dents in the walls and much more. They held my furniture hostage and would not offload until they received over $1,200.00 more than originally quoted. The brazen younger guy advised they charge more for friday removals (which was news to me) and when asked for an itemised account and receipt, he refused to provide one saying 'the office' will follow this up. When attempting to contact the manager to request an itemised account and to inform of the damage done to my furniture, he (Sam) rudely made excuses and terminated the call and blocked my number. This company is a complete scam who employ cowboy removalist resulting in damaged property and loss of monies. If I could give zero stars I would. My advice would be to stay clear of this company if you do not want to be scammed and taken for a ride!

truck had broken down(I don’t even think they have big trucks reading all the other reviews) and they asked if I could reschedule. I explained I had already taken the day off work and agreed to wait for a delayed 1pm start instead. I was assured I would be updated and that a team would come as soon as they finished their morning jobs. From that point on, it was nothing but excuses, no communication, and being completely ignored. 1.15pm I sent a text asking for an ETA. I tried to ring head office and no answer. I think they are dodging my calls. I get a phone call saying who ever finishes their jobs will head to mine first. I was assured not to worry the move will happen today. 3.30pm I msg asking for an ETA. No response. I txt again asking for an update, no response. Call 1300 number no answer ever! Call 1300 again.. still no answer! I asked my mum to call the 1300 Number on another phone, omg they answered!!! She asks what’s going on with my booking. Sam Kelly says I need to ring the logistics manager. No updates, again! 4.30pm I ring the logistics manager to ask for an update he said I’ll call the guys and see how their jobs are going they should be there soon. No call back…. I try 1300 again, no answer!!! My mum try’s the 1300 number again on a different number and shock horror they answer! Sam was rude, told her lies, the logistics manager was sorting it out, the removalist were on the way and said he didn’t have the capacity to deal with this today. 5.49pm I text the logistics manager AGAIN. Asking for a clear update so I can sort out where my family will be sleeping seeing as I have packed up our whole life into boxes ready to be moved! An hour later I receive a response, “has the driver reached out to you?” I respond no, nothing and it’s almost dark outside can I please get a clear update! And what happens next… CRICKETS!!! Nothing! No update, no apology!!! If you can’t fulfil a booking, just be honest instead of making people wait all day with false promises. This is not how you run a business. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect is appalling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. I LOST A DAYS INCOME WAITING FOR THEM TO TURN UP! I’m a single mum, I can’t afford to be doing that! “Sam Kelly” is rude, dismissive, and gave conflicting information. The logistics manager also bad!! Just he honest!!!
I ended up finding someone else to come last minute for the next day. So if you want someone realiable, I suggest Groove Moovers on the GC.

booked it, it was stated this would be an easy & quick shift, much easier than shifting a house! He said my guys are very quick. Everything was boxed & ready in our Storage Unit. They said it would take 5 hours, & if we go over the 5 hours there would be extra cost. The 2 guys worked like snails trying to make small talk with me, very frustrating, my husband & myself-tried to avoid them but the young one was very annoying, always trying anything not to work! We even ended up having to help them move stuff outside to their moving truck but then we had to load up our own small rented Ute, both have bad backs, because they were ridiculously slow. Often on their phones chatting to whomever. When they arrived at our new address they had called in another guy to help them, he actually worked faster than the other 2. The young guy came to speak to us & said it looks like we are going over the 5 hours so there is going to be another charge. When we started to question him, he became very defensive and somewhat aggressive. On top of all of this, he walked out & then came back in & said we now had to also pay extra. What shocked my husband was when that little whipper snapper snapped after my wife had told him he was working very slowly. He became so aggressive. He said I’m now going to charge you an extra $400 odd dollars. We had had enough by this time, said we were not paying any extra, he then said you have the choice, pay the$400 odd dollars or we leave it on the curb! We said leave it we will move it. They then unloaded in 15mins and buggered off. Don't believe their website or any sales pitches - all a load of misleading-nonsense! These cowboys should not be in business. The absolute worst. Consumer affairs should be notified.

alone, not much stuff) We had to do 2 trips to the new house = twice as long. The inexperienced guys meant it took 11.5 hours to move a small 2 bed apartment (let’s not Forget I moved all the small boxes and clothes myself the day before) I repeatedly tried to call the office and main guy from 10am all throughout the day, got hold of someone once, they were very rude and told me to calm down and someone would call me back. No one ever called. Finally after almost 12 hours of moving I get hit with a $2k bill. Outrageous and the main guy is so rude, absolute coward couldn’t even answer my calls just used the backpackers as his messenger. Turns out I’m not the only person to be ripped off by these cowboys. I won’t even get into the damage to my belongings due to inexperience. Oh and they forgot to pack half my stuff in the garage including a bike that i couldn’t fit in my car and a small wine fridge. 0/10 do not recommend. Have lodged a report with fair trading.

they were ridiculously slow. On their phones in the back of the truck, laughing. I met them at the new house only 10 mins away, they arrived and said I had to pay $1400. All the furniture was on the back of the truck. Holding me to ransom to get my stuff. I was expecting to pay around $600 and [Name Removed] the owner knew I had quotes for $800 but he would be a lot cheaper he said. The $1400 included 2 hours to unload. They then unloaded in 30mins and buggered off. They charge another hour back to the depot afterwards. I tried to contact [Name Removed] but of course no reply. Can’t actually give a zero - just awful in every way. Over charged me 2.5 hours @ $89 per 30 mins, broke 15 glasses and my laptop. The packers who could hardly speak English were beyond clueless. Southport to Robina for all the breakage. Yet moved from NZ to Australia 18 months ago and not a single breakage. The worst of the worst
Don't use, rocked up 2 hours late in a truck that wouldn't fit a dinning table in it, said they couldn't do the job. Tried calling the office to speak to a manager but just got a rude receptionist that hangs up on you and tells you to relax. By far the worse company i have dealt with. All in all despite taking a deposit they never did the job and left us stranded on move day.

from Sam saying I had committed a criminal offence. When he finally answered my call I asked him to give me the correct total of invoice there was a $300 difference. The exact reason I didn't pay at completion. Moving is stressful and using this company added to the stress. The 2 guys who did the moving were polite and hard-working.
AVOID this 'company'!! Was booked in for 7am, they turned up 4 hours later. I was also misquoted and over charged on the day. Not so much as an apology, somehow it was my fault. This is also on their website - Our 100% On Time Guarantee which is False. Scammers!! Sam is rude and unhelpful.

of my move and requested another $507 13 August - I paid the extra requested 13 August - received email from Donna at GC Removalists that people make mistakes (re the incorrect amount originally requested) and advising the trolley had been dropped off —— I checked…. It has not been dropped off Donna suggested I forgive the mistake and “”left it to me to decide before … smearing their reputation on line I have to say … I accept people make mistakes I accept the trolley was taken in error I have given up ALL hope or ever seeing my trolley again I leave it up to you to decide on your Removalist

This is a scam and I've reported them to Department of Fair Trading and the Queensland Police. Be sure to hire an actual removal company for your next move, not a scam built on a series of lies. They don't have business premises or trucks or any intention to build a reputable business.
They confirmed the day before because we called them to check. Then on the day didn’t show up, heard nothing from them and unable to contact them. AVOID
I will use you guys again! – I have a 5 star experience with gc removalists. from the time of the booking to the moment the staff placed down the last piece of furniture it was a very smooth and thorough process.
Unreliable – Booked in no worries for a 8am removal, however i was rang at 7am by Sam to postpone this on the day of the move and recieved a revised time of 930 onsite. At 1030 Sam said 1.5 to 2 hours with 45 minutes notice after I requested an update as i had heard nothing. 1pm I still have not heard any updates. Have cancelled and booked with an alternate. Company is not reliable and i have been waiting around all day for nothing

Time wasters they’ll let you down on the day of your move – Arranged for GC Removalists to move us and they cancelled on us one hour before their schedule time of arrival on the agreed moving date. They weren’t apologetic and had the audacity to call us rude when we stated our dissatisfaction at the way they just didn’t seem to care about leaving us without movers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! What’s even more lazy is that they use the same fake profiles to write nice reviews on their businesses making it very easy to find all the other ones.
I have had to report to ATO and file in small claims regarding these people due to over charging and damage.
Would not answer a single email about being overcharged, not a peep, and when advised I no longer will settle and take it to court they replied “go for it”. Essentially admitting to it in writing.
They only do cash and refuse to provide a receipt. Only provided me with a receipt after I got ATO involved. Their “ABN” on their invoice doesn’t link to their companies at all and their company names aren’t registered.
Total [Content Removed] ring happening.

Took the stress right out of my move – Moving Day can be stressful but GC Removalists took that right out their helpful team were so lovely and happily helped with anything and everything. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and they had me all moved within 5 hours and that includes going up 3 flights on stairs at my Burleigh apartment.
Had an awesome move with GC Removalists! – I was really impressed with these guys... the service I got was amazing, the office was nice and the boys on the day were tops. Nothing was too hard for them, all done with a smile too.
Do not use this company. Absolutely terrible – Received a phone called 10 mins after scheduled pick up time of 11am on Thursday 8th December cancelling pick up. My 2 brothers and sister in law took a day off work to help our elderly mother move to a retirement village. This added enormously to an already stressful time. Overpayment & AWFUL customer service – After numerous emails confirming the prices and there is no fixed cost for depot to depot, at the end of moving the subcontractors required payment. It is stressful moving, so I paid straight away, thinking I would receive an invoice or receipt soon after. Also they kept changing the times of the move even though I was stressed enough and had dual settlement.
Never pitched up despite a confirmed e mail booking two weeks earlier – I booked them two weeks before the full-service pack move and unpack. They never showed up. When I called they said they would get back to me. They never did despite numerous calls which they never answered. Eventually, at 12 pm I got an email There has been an oversite and this has come up as cancelled in our system. I am entirely sorry, are we able to reschedule, please? Moving is always traumatic companies like this make it more so.
