GC Tooth Mousse Plus

Wow! A significant and immediate improvement. Like a secret weapon. I wish the dentist had told me about this! – I have started using GC Tooth Mousse Plus for myself for enamel wear and protection and on my 7 year old some who has enamel hypomineralisation on his molars and incisors (MIH). For myself, the effect was absolutely amazing and I think it was enhanced by me applying it at night after having had my usual unbuffered ascorbic acid (vitamin c) powder solution - I found afterwards in some scientific studies how they had used phosphoric acid prior to applying the same CPP-ACP product and how it enhanced the results, so maybe that's why I had such an amazing effect: my teeth were suddenly smoother on my tongue and also visibly so, the scratches and rough bits suddenly smooth; the crack in my front tooth feels smooth and doesn't catch my fingernail when I scratch it now which is amazing and it's harder to see now; they feel much much stronger and harder, like completely different teeth; and they're much whiter and prettier. I am really amazed at how great my teeth are and how immediately they changed. For my son, I have noticed his incisors are smoother and a little bit whiter already after only three applications, although I have not used the ascorbic acid on him and won't do so in case it hurts his already-hypomineralised enamel. In terms of the whitening effect on myself, it's really impressive and I would recommend it to someone considering whitening treatments before they try professional bleaching because in my case, my enamel wear and erosion was making my teeth appear less white because of the dentin visible underneath, so with the remineralisation the enamel is much less transparent and I can't see the yellow of the dentin so much and they just look like healthy, white teeth now. The whitening looks natural too not like the unnaturally overly white and damaged appearance that some people have when they get their teeth whitened. The Tooth Mousse Plus just makes them a perfect tooth white - and I drink a lot of black coffee but they're still white! I am really happy and I think we will always use and recommend Tooth Mousse. I am so grateful that it's available from the supermarket and pharmacy and that it's so cheap compared to dental treatments - prevention being much better, healthier, and cheaper than a cure. I know someone above had complained about the price but from my perspective, this is cheap and really worth the sacrifice; if I have to go without a lunch out each week for me and my kids to have healthier teeth then that's a great price to me. I am much more hopeful for my son's dental health now, having seen how the Tooth Mousse Plus had already helped his enamel because I was very worried about preventing erosion (we had educated him in how to rinse his mouth after eating even apples and we would time anything sugary for close to teeth brushing time) and I was already planning for how we would save up to afford his dental care when he is older and worrying about how his yellow, rough incisors would affect how he feels and worrying about when we would get him implants or what we would do to help him and worrying about potential problems and infections if things go wrong. Now, however, I feel we can actually do something to really protect and build up his own tooth enamel every day and hopefully we can protect his teeth and he can keep them. Thank you GC! I am really hopeful now. I am also hopeful that it will save us a lot of money over the years in preventing caries in all our teeth. Of course we will still go to the dentist but I think it'll be just for check ups and cleans now.

I am angry that the dentist didn't tell me about tooth mousse for "chalk teeth" when I asked her on several occasions what we could do to help him because I now remember over ten years ago a dental hygienist told me about Tooth Mousse for enamel wear, so it's not as though it's a secret or a new product. All they told me was that I could use some sensodyne to help his sensitivity on the affected teeth and that I needed to be using a fluoride toothpaste. I can only imagine how much money and worry families could save if they knew about Tooth Mousse Plus. I have reviewed the scientific literature on this product and others and it all looks very promising for MIH and I will be using it for my son alongside some fancy Japanese hydroxyapatite toothpaste and some Recaldent chewing gum as well to provide a range of remineralising approaches at home and at school so we can really fix his enamel problem.

My son is lactose intolerant but he has no gut reaction with this product. I usually react to lactose and soy but am not having any problems with this product.

I am writing this because I am just so amazed at the results and so very grateful for this product and I hope that it can help you and your kids too. I will now be that pushy Mum giving unsolicited advice at the shops or school pickup to any parent who hears it, it's such a relief to have this power to help our kids' teeth. I am also thrilled about my pretty, white, strong teeth now and maybe I'll be able to be one of those rare old ladies who keep their own teeth now! I hope it can also help someone to get naturally white teeth before they wreck their natural, beautiful smile with bleaching.

Two years later, report on my son's MIH - twice daily use of Tooth Mousse Plus and using Recaldent gum at school after morning tea and lunch has saved his molar! X-rays showed the enamel looked good and had no holes so the treatment worked. The dentist was amazed that the tooth had lasted so well. He had lost a chunk off a point of the tooth but the rest of the tooth was okay. The dentist applied a Hall Crown over the hypomineralised molar to protect and keep it. So far, the Hall Crown is going well. I still use Tooth Mousse Plus for him and myself and still highly recommend it.

Works well – I have been using this product for years after being recommended it by my dentist die to the amount of enamel wear on my teeth. The tube is small and expensive so I don't use daily but every now and then and particularly on days I know my teeth will be sensitive to acid wear. Seems to be working but I would use it more often if it was more affordable.
