Very inept staff. They couldn’t open an uploaded PDF, They couldn’t recognise documents, They couldn’t speak English clearly. I literally cancelled my application out of frustration. I have used latitude products in the past and had a good opinion of the organisation, that is now gone. Show details

Unfortunately, I haven't had a good experience with Latitude Gem Visa. They're trying to find out how to take your money through different ways or even excuses. If you download the app and try to make a payment, they don't let you. Then you call them and they tell you to pay through BPAY, and they are charging or stealing your money. Be careful, guys! Open your eyes. Definitely not recommended at all.

trap. Please do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with this company or applying for any of its financial products. I have reported them to AFCA and will update on the outcome. So far, they have refused to reduce the credit card rate.

When they charge you to make a payment for handling fee's online, you know that's just a money grab. If I had of known these guys used to be GE Finance I wouldn't have gone anywhere near them. Also they take out Direct Debits for random amounts, even though I make weekly payments to more than cover the monthly bill. They CREATE their own blind… Read more

had with the previous card, reading all the small print MONTHLY CHARGE $10.95 every month even with a zero balance, well there were no charges with no activity on the previous card so how is it the same privileges?. I suggest everyone with the new Gem Visa Rent extraction card to cancel the card if not in use and apply for credit when you need it

A nightmare no customer service – This card is impossible to cancel , they just keep charging fees even with no balance. This is the worst card you can ever get, believe it when I say you can't contact anyone, the balance of my account is zero and still cannot close it. Show details

confusing on purpose, so you don’t fully understand the repayment terms.

Their interest rates are extremely high. You might think you’re getting a good deal, but in reality, you can end up paying almost three times the amount you borrowed.

For example: If you borrow $2,000, you might end up paying back around $6,000 if you don’t pay the full amount within the six-month period.

After that period, you must pay off everything in full and close your account. Otherwise, they keep adding extra fees and charges that pile up quickly — costs you would never imagine.

They won’t explain this clearly when you first buy something. They make it sound easy and attractive, but it’s a trap.

My advice: Avoid borrowing from this company at all costs. They operate in a way that feels like a scam.

Please think twice and read all the fine print carefully. Don’t get caught like I did.

over, even though I pay $10.95 a month card fee and $1.95 every time I make an actual payment!! Be very wary, when I get this paid off they are dead to me.

Latitude Gem, previously GE card, used to be a great way to buy large purchases over time, interest free, for a small monthly administrative fee, $2-3. holding times, you can never reach them to unblock your card, or the phone system does not recognise your number even though they just called you on it. If they call you back, you get put on hold, and the call disconnects after a few minutes. The website is very flaky and often does not work correctly. Finding the basic info you need can be very confusing. Honestly, stay away. All the extra fees and bad service more than cover the slightly long interest-free period, so there is no benefit.

Woeful handling of a recently deceased customer – So my mother passes away a couple months ago. I use their online form to notify them of this. first week of January. I receive the death certificate three weeks after her funeral, scan it, and email it to them. I receive a reply from a “Vipin”, greeting me with “Hi *Mum’s name*”! The email then apologises for her passing and other text that is impossible to read due to very poor English. This is extremely unprofessional, offensive and completely insensitive. Formal complaint now with them, don’t hold much hope of any outcome. [“Without Prejudice”] I should just tell them to sod off and pay them nothing from the estate. I also discovered they engaged the services of an UNLICENCED debt collector, sending letters repeatedly to her former address, despite being provided with a PO Box address to use. Hopeless, as if customer service isn’t a priority. This is what happens when you send your entire customer-facing staff and complaint handling overseas. Zero commitment to the customer, more just trying to save a buck by not employing Aussies.

more fees than disclosed. Told that once the Latitude Gem card was paid off, there were no more fees only to then be hit with $10.95 a month over a year after the card had been paid off. Again, no option to contest this as there is no way to contact anyone and no responses to written complaints.

Worst Latitude Gem Visa in both Disputes & Claims Dept + Complaints & Resolution – Very bad experiences with this company in Customer Services , Relations about its Credit card. Many phone calls were made )with a VERY LONG waiting queue) & number of complaint forms + disputes were raised but no reply or promptly deliver to my request. Wasted lot of time and very stressful to deal with it.

Re# Ticket 14717389 On 10 Dec, Latitude ("[Name Removed] (Latitude)" <support@latitudefs.com>) sent me an email quoting my complaint has been resolved with two transactions, which are not related to my complaints (tickets), after my replied email, another email arrived ("[Name Removed] (Latitude)" <support@latitudefs.com>) quoted that complaints has been resolved by 26/11. It seems to me those Reps are not well trained robots same as didn't know what to do. with their daily tasks.

Once again, it was another wrong information provided and nothing was happening since, that 6 months plan is still on my account.

The update of the case (tickets) from Latitude were only apologies for the delay in responding to my complaints & disputes. Now end up, Latitude forces me to pay minimum payment each month and allocated the payment to the above mentioned transaction(which I didn't spend + credited back to my account). There could be interest charges later if I didn't make minimum payment for that unauthorised transaction as Latitude request

lack of communication was incredibly frustrating. I had to repeatedly chase updates, which should have been provided proactively, particularly given the extended timeframe. This absence of regular updates made it difficult to make informed decisions on alternative transportation, which significantly affected my daily routines and responsibilities.

Additionally, the poor decision-making throughout the process contributed to the excessive delay. It often felt as though there was a lack of clarity and urgency in addressing the issues with my car, which only prolonged the time it took to resolve the problem. A more proactive and organised approach would have resulted in a much smoother and timely repair process.

Furthermore, I felt that my needs as a customer were neither prioritised nor understood. On several occasions, I was given incorrect information about the status and details of the repairs. In some instances, I was even misled instead of being provided with transparent and honest updates. This approach eroded my trust in your service and left me feeling devalued as a customer.

The general performance and professionalism displayed by your company during this period did not meet the standard of service I had expected. The delays, lack of communication, and incorrect information all reflect a level of service that falls well below what I consider acceptable.

The entire experience has left such a bad impression on me that if anyone were to ask where to buy or service a car, I would strongly advise them to steer clear of your establishment.

Additionally, an apology only holds value when it’s backed by meaningful action. Unfortunately, your actions have spoken far louder than words could, and they’ve left much to be desired.

Get down to 5,6,7 in the que then they hang up.If & when you get through good luck if they speak english. They can go f**k themselves and i'll see em in court. because I went on there to look at something else and thought hang on I haven't used this card for over a year or maybe 2 years so why have I got a fee there. I have not received a statement either so this would have gone unpaid and I would have been in debt. This is very poor on their behalf as people will be caught out thinking their card has nothing owing but they'll be getting this fee without any knowledge. Communicate with people and let them know about these types of changes. The call the centre terrible you can't get through over a 30 minute wait. They have a call back feature but if you miss the call your back to square 1. I didn't miss the call it comes through as spam and is automatically blocked. Ugh
