Not helpful – A last minute hire of a vehicle and a request for a $1000.00 security deposit upon arrive at the Cairns City depot left me in shock. I was told because I was a first time local resident hirer a $1000.00 security deposit was required. I said when booking the vehicle it dis not state this only the hire cost. The man said it was in your email, yes but that is after you took my money. I called support explaining I could not tie up $1000.00 for 10 days but she said unfortunately you will not get your money back. Not very happy with this rental company, I have never been asked for $1000 security from other Cairns based vehicle hire companies. I do not recommend this business.
