Great tyre but but don’t wear well – My Navara Black Edition came with General Grabbers 18” AT tyres. They are awesome all round tyres and very quiet on road for ATs but I’ve done 40k and I’m 1mm off the wear indicators. I was expecting 50 - 60k but these will need to be changed very soon. I will have to do some research for my next set. I want these again for their all round performance or I put up with loud road noise with something like Coopers ATs and get twice as long out of them.

Very satisfied with these tires – I had Continental Cross Contacts on my Land Rover Freelander 2 (MY13) when I bought it new. At around 40,000kms I needed new tires. I bought the Grabber AT being the only AT type tire to fit the 18" rim and meet the other tire specs. I have done 45,000kms on them with at least another 15,000kms to go. Good all round AT tire, not noisy and always feels safe in all conditions. I will be buying them again.

Great tyres but dont last! – Fantastic tyre both on and off road. very quiet, great grip on wet roads and in sand and on rocks. Side walls are a little soft (damaged 2 on rocks but no flats) . Only gets a one star as worn out after just over 20,000kms ( rotated every 5k and used the 4psi rule). shame really.
Purchased in for $1,200.

Very good All Terrain and save $100/corner compared to the premium brands – I switched out a set of road tyres for some all-terrain tyres after getting a sidewall ripped out on a forestry road. (sharp gravel sliced the sidewall and I could put my hand through the hole...) I've run BF Goodrich ATs (BFGs) in the past on a previous 4wd, and they were a very good tyre, with reasonable road noise, good turn in and of course, good grip on gravel. I was going to run BFGs again, but the General Grabber AT3 are about $100 cheaper, and are standard equipment on some Jeeps, so I thought "how bad can they be".
Not only that, there really are only 2 options for the Land Rover Disco 3 if you want to meet all load, speed and dimensions of the original equipment... the BFG or the General Grabber AT3.
Some car magazine reviews of the GG AT3 suggested they were very good too, so what the hell, lets get a set.
Well yes, they are significantly superior to BF Goodrigh ATs of about 10 years ago (last time I had them) and there was no noticeable ride comfort issue nor road noise coming from the tread blocks. Turn in - where ATs often suffer due to tread block squirm - isn't even noticeable.
Downside - they will slip and slide around on clay and mud, so if you are flying down a forest road in a hurry and hit a slippy patch, the cross your fingers and hope for the best cos these tread blocks can't bite through...
As for long term tyre wear durability, I haven't a clue. But for high speed driving on gravel on closed roads - i.e. being a course car on a state championship car rally in a forest where it is 100% full throttle everywhere, there were no gashes, missing tread blocks, not ripped of corners even after doing the full 300km rally course 8 times over the 3 days of the rally... you wouldn't even know I had abused them so badly, so yeah, pretty happy with that.
Did I mention that they are a lot cheaper than the BFGs???

I wish could fit these to both my 4x4's! – This is the best AT I have ever used on my 4x4, definitely up there with other better known brands that I have used in the past. These are great because they have a narrow enough profile to be used as an everyday driver and have minimal road noise which is a big bonus as I do a lot of highway kilometers. Reasonably well priced for what you would expect out of an AT but still do really well on the beach and in the rough tracks around Coffs Harbor.
