Wont proceed with online order beware – Rung store to buy a chair but they said it only in-store price but I was able to pay for delivery at I store price confusing

Incredibly poor staff knowledge and horrible customer service. Pray you never have a problem! – Beware of trying to return anything for poor quality. products AT ALL. Something I didn't discover until after I left. I was highly recommended a tent by Oztrail which began to fall apart from incredibly poor build quality on day 1. By day 2 a pole snapped entirely while setting up and I took it back with several issues like large holes where the zips meet allowing in insects and the floor being particularly weak and I was told I'd be contacted 3 days later by the tent rep. 5 days later I got a call from a very terse store manager basically telling me it was my fault and dismissing any issues I had as being simply my opinion. He seemed to entirely dismiss my classification of what a light wind was even after I explained I was a qualified meteorological observer. I felt he was politely holding back the urge to tell me go f myself which is to his credit, but the tone was certainly clear. Being an experienced camper I was surprised to find a complete lack of sympathy or consideration for my situation, outright refusing even a store credit. He offered to fix the broken pole like he was doing me a favor. I eventually hung up in frustration telling them to keep the f'ing tent to which I was satirically complemented on my maturity. Easily the worst staff experience I've had with any outdoor store in the 25 years I've been shopping at them. My advice is to try BCF next door, they're much more reasonable.

Superb service – I have been to the Balcatta store several times in the past years and Carol and the other staff are so very polite and friendly that it just makes you want to go back. Carol is amazing, she will go the extra mile if it is within her authority. I will definitely, after my last experience on Saturday, go back there rather than the other big camping stores. product was extensive, he was enthusiastic and I left the shop understanding what I needed and wanted.

I did go to another Getaway Outdoors store that was actually closer to where I live. However, their service was nothing like the Cockburn store. In that store, I waited to be served, but no one even came near me and my wife - I could not even attract the attention of the store attendant - disappointed, I decided to leave.

Several months later I sent several emails to the Cockburn store asking questions regarding the kayak range. They responded to all my emails within a day. Many stores don’t bother responding.

A few weeks ago I attended the Cockburn store and purchased a kayak with a range of accessories. I was served by another store attendant, Matt. He was also a Hobie specialist, who was also highly knowledgeable of the product, showed enthusiasm and provided excellent service. He spent over two hours with me when I made the purchase.

This type of service is highly commendable. It is great to see a couple of young men who are enthusiastic about their job, actually have expert knowledge of the product they are selling and are willing to help. Well done Getaway Outdoors Cockburn store.

Not displaying correct price – Purchased 2 mugs, request additional 2, was told "can order if you want, but not sure when we will get them." Did not show much interest in wanting to order. Then charge me $29.99 for the fridge stand instead of $19.99 as displayed. When questioned on pricing, was told it is not on special anymore. After purchasing my Oz tent from them 2 weeks ago, I am not impressed, last they will see of me. Bruce Irvine.

Can't fault Customer Service – These guys go out of their way to ensure quality customer service, have had good dealings with all the staff in the Geraldton store, I work in a tackleshop in Kalbarri but always look forward to my visit at Geraldton Getaway Outdoors for great specials and again quality service. Good onya guys....
