Ghd glide
At first glance what I immediately noticed about the Ghd glide is that it has a super long cord. 2.7 metres to be exact and a combination of shorter and longer spokes which are densly positioned to allow undemanding manipulation of various hair types. Once I plugged it in and pressed the on/off button the sound indicator signals when the brush is ready to use. I then section my hair and glide the brush through my hair watching my hair be transformed from a frizzy mess to straightened, smoothed and shiny tresses. To turn the Ghd glide off you si...
Read moremply press the same button that turns the device on and allow it to cool down. If you ever leave the house wondering or worrying about whether or not you've turned your Ghd glide off or not there is no need to worry as it will automatically turn itself off after 60 minutes of not being used. The glide heats up to an optimum temperature of 185˚C. The Ghd glide has an ioniser that emits negative ions, which close the cuticle layer of the hair, locking in moisture and creating shine. The longer spokes on the brush aren't heated and these are the ones the detangle any knots in the hair whilst the short spokes are the ones that straightened the hair. You can touch the spokes without burning your hand or head. If you have thick, frizzy hair like mine then I wouldn't recommend that you use this brush like a normal hair brush but rather section the hair and pull that section out straight then run the Ghd glide through that section like you would a traditional straightener. If you like to wear your hair dead then the Ghd Glide isn't for you. It does straightened the hair but I would suggest it more as a touch up device. So say you blow dry then straighten your hair one day and wake up the next day and it's a bit kinky or wavy or you've had a ponytail in your hair and you want to remove the hair tie/scrunchie kink then the glide will certainly remove that. Or if your looking for a quick tidy up before running out the door to drop the kids off to school then the glide is for you. However if you're looking for that super sleek dead straight style then an actual hair straightener would get you a more sleek result. Overall I would recommend the Ghd glide to anyone with long, thin, slightly wavy hair as it wouldn't take too much effort or time to straightened. I am happy with the results I achieve using my Ghd glide as most of the time I simply tie my hair up so running the glide through a few sections to smooth my hair out before putting my hair up in a ponytail or bun works perfectly for me.- Ease of Use

A perfect choice for a fast blow wave effect
This brush is great for adding volume to straight hair. It heats quickly, is fast to use and leaves hair with a natural blow wave effect. It easily tames my unruly hair.

Works great, easy to use, better than my old straighteners
This works amazingly on my fine curly/wavy hair, much better than my old straighteners because it is a brush, so smooths it effortlessly. And forget about GHD's slogans about this being for second day styling - I think they are just trying to ensure they still sell their other products. I use this exclusively now - I wash my hair a few times a week at night, brush it and let it dry then style in the morning. Some days I don't even need to use it, just brush it with a normal brush and go (anyone with curly hair will get why I'm so impressed by t...
Read morehis!). Tips for using it: use a heat product to protect your hair, and brush it s l o w l y through your hair... that's it! So easy to use. What I also really like is that it doesn't make your hair completely straight, there is still some bounce to it, particularly at the ends (I like a natural look - if you're after something that will make your hair dead straight, this might not be for you). The only slightly negative thing is the placing of the power button - I often hit it accidentally and sometimes turn it off by mistake. Other than that, I can't really fault it. Wouldn't be without it!Purchased in for $240.

Great Alternative To Straightening Iron
I have long, thick, wavy, frizzy hair. It takes me well over an hour to straighten using a standard iron however only takes me 20-30 minutes with the GHD Glide Hot Brush. It doesn't give the same dead straight hair as an iron but it's great! You still need to brush hair in small chunks - its not quite as simple as just brushing your hair.

Waste of money
I really didn’t like this purchase I brought it on adorebeauty, it looked pretty barely done anything to my already fairly straight hair. I am selling it as I honestly wish I didn’t buy it and stuck to my ghd straightener

I have difficulty cleaning it!
In total I am happy with it, if I use it in its clean condition. It is recommended to not clean it with water. It is very difficult to clean between the brush and the outcome is not desirable while not clean.

Hi Parvane,
Thank you for your review....
Read more We are sorry to hear that you've been experiencing difficulties with cleaning your ghd product and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Hopefully we can assist with these tips: Lightly moisten a clean cloth with water and wipe your brush over. You can also use a q-tip to get between the bristles. You can do this while the brush is still warm (BUT make sure it is unplugged). It's best to wipe it over at least once a week if you're using it often. Please let us know if there is anything more we can help you with. Kind regards, ghd- 2 reviews
Game Changer
This GHD Glide is a game changer!!! My hair is in between wavy and trying to be straight..... I have been using a GHD straightener for the longest time and I never thought I would find another styling tool that would replace, it until now. The GHD Glide Hot Brush has done just that. Fast, effective and gives me a better result. My hair only ever looks this shiny and smooth after I leave the salon. Now I can get that salon straightening look and feel each and every time. Thanks GHD

Best product GHD made!
I have coarse, very thick long hair. I’ve tried other brands that didn’t work on my hair. What took 20 minutes using a straightener, takes 5 minutes using GHD Glide!

The perfect styling tool for busy people
My hair type is thin and with little volume. I quickly go over my hair in the morning before I have to dash out to work. the tool gives you a straight finish but with more volume. It's easy to use and more importantly quick!
I recommend sectioning the hair and holding tension when brushing under the hair, rather than the normal way as you get more volume.

Absolutely Love it!!
Absolutely love this Brush!! So easy to use on my medium length hair. It heats up really quickly and gives such great results. I just use it like you are brushing your hair and it leaves my hair nice and straight. I have another brand and this is much better and gets much hotter. I am so glad I purchased this and won’t be without it.
I did bump the power button while using it, but luckily it didn’t turn off, so I was cautious about it after that not to keep bumping it, so just be aware it could be a problem.
Also it does get hot and so does yo...

It’s worth the dollars
This brush has made styling my hair so much easier.
I have chin length fine curly hair and let’s face it sometimes your curls just don’t behave and it’s easier to just straighten it
I don’t really like poker straight hair, as mine is fine it can look really flat and lifeless with a straightener, I had tried a cheaper VS heated brush and had to pass it through my hair 3 times to get it straight, this is where the GHD earns it high price tag, one pass and I have straight shiny hair that has body.
It’s my bad hair day saviour, hair tamed in under...

Styling with minimum hair dry out
I have always used a ghd straightener on my hair and been happy with the results and was very excited to see the GHD hot brush .I find it to be very quick at straightening my hair and alot more gentler than my previous bush ,my hair does not feel as course as before and myself i have very dry brittle hair with the coloring and bleaching i have gotten on it,And im yet to burn myself as i have with my previous brush but the hair does get very hot. The only down side i can see is the button placement ,while it is high up the handle i still find myself catching it while using the brush but im yet to turn it off while catching it
